“Show me someone for whom friendship means lack of love, and I’ll show you someone who wonders why their lovers never end up being worth their time.”

I think it means that love comes with friendship, and can be vice-versa. If you consider love to be without friendship, there is little reason to chase it.

    • @herobane6488

@@Clone4082 friendship is an incentive- of sorts- to engage with someone, as being able to be friends with someone means you actively enjoy spending time with them- which helps nurture love. if you exclude friendship from love, then it's hard to keep complications in a relationship from demeaning said relationship, because staying together after things get complicated, it becomes an uncomfortable obligation. at least, that's how i see it.

Somehow when Kratos said "Now I am mad at you." gets me every time.
Really shows the brotherly bond he and Mimir had formed that they even would have this kind of conversation. Kratos being married twice means he has some experience and can now tell about love troubles. I'm just as surprised that Kratos is even interested in that kind of talk. Really shows his maturity and growth. He willingly allowed himself to provide an ear for Mimir to talk about his current relationship issue, listening, and consulting, almost to the fact that the former God of War now knew the head too well. Even when it got to the point where he now knew where Mimir got it wrong, he made it clear like how a brother or a friend is disappointed when they screwed up terribly. He spoke with a stern, deep voice with a hint of anger and disgust because of of how Mimir slipped.
Kratos really has gone from a young, edge-lord to a now stern still caring figure.

Prehaps in time I will I just wont know when... Hahahah very true!
Elden Ring won over Ragnarök for the same reason Baldur's Gate 3 won over Spider-Man 2, and that is simply because of innovative gameplay & world design uncommon to the gaming industry.
We've gotta remember that Ragnarök & Spider-Man 2 didn't really innovate their respective franchises in any particular way as the same experiences, combat, world design and writing can be found in their previous entries (which were done better imo), whereas games like Baldur's Gate 3 & Elden Ring are very unique experiences that stand on their own as being some of the best video games ever made.
I'm not trying to take anything away from Ragnarök & Spider-Man 2, as I enjoyed my time with both of those games but objectively speaking, they're just more of the same & Spider-Man 1 & God of War 2018 are far better games than their respective sequels in my opinion.

No quest markers to speak of, I don't know where im going where im supposed to go on the other hand ambience felt ethereal, exploring was most fun it felt truly as if striding through a pleasant dream(Nokron) and so on however GoW really evoked feelings like playing a well scripted movie.

Both of the new gow games are PlayStation only. And pc, I think. A vast majority of gamers play on PC and anyone playing on xbox probably won't vote for a game they can't play.
The game does effectively cripple itself in the rankings due to this. Good games, though.
