my first academic conference(!), st.john's college, sunset, and new book | cambridge diary ep.4

After getting Rona and got knocked out for literally two weeks... (yeap I had it a bit worse than the normal reported 5 days - 1 week period), I really had to say, 2 weeks self-isolation was THE BEST. LOL. I mean, generally it gives me reasons to not meet people and what better days could an introvert like me ask for hahaha
Jokes aside, my best friend (her name's Sainsna) came to visit me from London after not seeing each other for about 3 months!!, another friend in St. John's college showed us around. Sainsa and I are really similar in many ways, we're huge homebodies and we like being alone, and as weird as it sounds, we find comfort in being alone together HAHA so it was a really2 great time when she visited me for 2 days!
I also got to present in a conference (too bad there isn't any footage.. I was alone and didn't know anyone and I was a bit shy to ask someone to take a photo or video of me so yeah :(). But it was GREAT. I love presenting and the full-day conference felt super fun. I get to hear other professors' / researchers' / PhD students' research and I was among the only two MPhil(s) to present - such an honour and what an experience that was.
