Been using the GPW-1000 for years and I have been holding back from getting a new one as my watch sometimes just feel too thick and heavy. Just bought this after watching your review! The black friday deal on amazon made it a no brainer for me. Thanks mate
@@KUDALIAR1999 that makes me very happy to hear a purchase has been decided through the channel, hope you like it, really enjoying my Gbd-300. What colour did you go for?
I'm wearing the gbd200 as I watch this. I don't know why people trip on the battery life.🤷🏽♂️ The battery change is a pretty straightforward procedure. I hope Casio can introduce an hourly chime in the next firmware update.
I sold my gbd 200 because it didn't have a chime..didn't have your traditional timer..felt like something other than a G shock..but if they can introduce a hourly chime I might give it another try
@@ianmaw66 love the white one, if I didn’t already have the 200 In white/grey I would have gone white. Overall really pleased with the black one. Yeah it’s a shame we have to hunt out certain models 😁👍🏻
@@The-Casio-Man hey does the gbd 200 white/grey one get discolored and if so can one clean it?? Please let me know as I love it and want to buy it but a little worried it will get dirty easily
@@sirajalam223 I haven’t noticed any discolouration but on the corners it has shown some lite signs of wear due to edges being rubbed. The grey/white colour is pretty cool. I would say go for it if you want it. 👍🏻😁
Great reviews on your channel! How does the countdown timer function work? You just have to activate Bluetooth and then the function appears in the menu?
@@BogiTube84 thankyou, much appreciated. The countdown timer is on the workout option but is a little difficult to navigate but after a few times, you get used to it. Thanks for watching.
@@The-Casio-Man I do wonder why Casio made modules with different numbers but exactly the same functionality? Two things the GBD200 and 300 need - hourly chime and ability to change the day/date format. Both could be easily done with a firmware update. Come on Casio, you know you want to.
@@NusianDivision-mh2ob good question, I don’t own the GBX-100 but have tried one on before and would say it was a pretty nice watch and seeing as it’s built for surfers, has more functions such as tide graph and moon fazes, the stainless steel face is pretty nice too. It’s a tough choice to make. I like the size of the GBD-200 and with the GBX you are getting a more bulky watch but if you like or need the extra features then go for the GBX. Having got 3 members of G-Squad (GBD200, GBA800 & GBD800), I had convinced myself that I don’t need this one. Now you’ve “unconvinced” me, so I hate you 😉😉
Casio put the old GBD-200 module into a new case and that‘s it. No new function, same MIP Display, same BT Features, same battery life. That‘s a joke, Casio.
@ and then my friend, the cycle continues of buying more watches, it’s the way of the world. 😁 But I do agree that with the power consumption on these MIP displays, they really need a better battery but then most smart watches have battery lives of days not years so I won’t complain too much. 👍🏻

Best watch for tracking steps - no need to charge and otherwise perfect durable watch with great design!
@@ondrej1893 exactly that, most watches with these features you have to charge every 3 days. Great watch, thanks for watching.

How do we know when a new firmware update is available? I see mine is on version 002. What is the latest?
I also imported one of these in white. It is very 'storm trooper'. I wish more Casio watches made it to the UK.

They need to make a metal one of these. Id trade all the smart functions for solar charging thi.
