Another great video! One tip I will mention because I had a helluva job getting my head around jump clones when they were first introduced: Remember! You start the game as a clone in the first place. Capsuleers have to die technically before they even enter the game, so there is no original ''you'', you are a clone already. Does this make life any clearer? I found that once I realised this things fell into place, but perhaps it is just my brain playing tricks.
That is a correct concept. And why having an ability to change your appearance works - you just get a different looking clone to transfer your mind to
@@GildiiAuscent My constant appearance changes baffle my corp-mates who endlessly stick to one avatar. Previously I've used the excuse that I'm vain but you've given me the perfect reason as I have to jump-clone several times a day sometimes trying to be god's gift to all men (and women ofc 🙂), Orca booster, freighter pilot, cyno-alt etc.
There you go :D
@@CMDR_Verm My appearance changes so much I need an entire clone factory to keep up
@@KisumiiEvEOnline One thing about New Eden, there's always plenty of fresh biomass lying around 🙂
The biggest advantage of having a clone in a player owned structure is that it has no cool down time before jumping the next time. You can jump from clone to clone any time you want.
If you jump between structures, you get a timer regardless. But for jumping in stations CCP actually took that timer down from NPC ones as well some years ago
@@GildiiAuscent I refer to jumping between clones in the same structure. I have been doing this for years: be in my implanted clone when not doing PvP and at the PvP fleet start, jumped into a clean clone. Doing this in a structure with near zero clone activation fee is cheap fun.
Oh yeah, player owned structures are cheaper usually. I did see some greedy clone bay owners though, which would ask for as much as npc station takes or more, at which point I take NPC station, because it has no difference, since they removed timers
