i wouldnt put any silicone in to injectors. I would just drop the injector seats in the hole after good cleaning and check with a mirror if they are sitting there nicely. Then after having that bad injector leak it would be good to check oil pickup if its stuck.
Yes it is common with 1KD , The oil pickup gets blocked but if you dump the oil and through the filler plug hole , spray the mesh with brakeclean or similar solvent and blast the pickup mesh with compressed air you can get it clean without removing the sump
Thanks for the vid! I have one of those KDJ95 here in Botswana, awesome car. Got 260K on it now (well, thats what the odo says 🙂). Quite a bit of air but no smoke being blown out the oil filler cap and have no idea what is normal or not... I am gonna change those seats and seals anyway as a preventative measure thanks for helping with what parts to order...
Hello. My 1 kd also smokes on start up. Does it mean its blow by? After the repairs of the injectors was there much improvement on the cars performance?
Excellent job and video! Can you confirm that you were able to remove the valve cover without completely taking the injector pipes off the common rail?
Great video. Quick question about the altezza. am having difficulties timing properly my altezza 3s. The problem am having is timing the intake cam gear since it moves on its own. Am asking for help
Hello Jerry. Take a look at the service manual here, www.manualslib.com/manual/1014472/Toyota-3s-Ge.html?page=68#manual from page 68 onwards it will help you to set the timing. Did you replaced the head? cheers
@@frankcumaio8328 hai Frank. thanks for the link and i have been going throufg it. I did put back the head on the engine but i can easly remove it if need be.
I used diesel and a wire brush to clean the outiside, then i used liquimoly diesel purge to clean the injectors and pump after set everthing back together. will upload a video explaining how to do a diesel purge
We bought it used, on the panel it show’s 88k km which is not true. I believe it has more than 250k km, here we suffer a lot with fakes km on imported cars. I bought original spares
@@AsitShouldBe if you maintain it with regular oil changes, and if it’s not burning any oil, keep enjoying it bro. As they age there’s a natural blowby that will always be there.
@@frankcumaio8328 i make first class maintenance, and engine is perfect but maybe i could change these washers and i can eliminate blow by thanks bro 😉 Here is mine ruclips.net/user/shortswUbzpcOOayc?feature=share

Thanks for sharing. they can blow a reasonable amout of air from the filler cap, what you can also check is if its blowing air/smoke from the dipstick

Hello my friend, did you replace the injectors or did you put the same ones back in with the new seats
Same injectors, just replaced the seats
Excellent job and video! Can you confirm that you were able to remove the valve cover without completely taking the injector pipes off the common rail?
Thanks Mate, from what i remember i had to take the pipes from common rail and it was easy
Great video! This has helped me a lot. One question - before replacing the injector did you recut the seat?

Hi bro, how many kilometers have that kdj? Have you bought original spares or aftermarket ones? Thanks.

@@frankcumaio8328 nice, mine has 380k km, i have a bit of blow by but no smoke at all on the rear, do you think i should do this work too?
