- In this video I show how I deleted my EGR system on my 1999 Land Cruiser Prado, using my EGR delete kit.
Kit is $95 shipped to USA or Canada. Add on the gaskets for $15 and the filter/hose for $20. To buy the kit, send me an e-mail to kubeseng@gmail.com.

I was looking for install videos as my GF just bought a kit a few days ago for her Hilux….i then realized it’s this kit lol. Thanks for the thorough video, the NPT fitting on the blanking plate is a nice touch.
Thanks man !!! i got the same KZJ95 and i was puzzled about the VSV operation and purpose !
Waiting for an intercooling video :)
Thanks! What are you looking for in an intercooling video?
So now that's it's been a few weeks since this egr delete. How is the vehicle running? I have a 1993 hilux surf with the 1kzte and am thinking of doing this delete
Excellent video, what I did was install a thin plate with a 9 mm hole on the header side, that is, I only reduced the diameter 4 years ago, could I try just putting another plate but without a hole?
Yes, you can have the EGR completely blocked on the 1KZTE. I believe the small hole is necessary on the 1KD to not trip an error code.
Will removing the egr system not cause a massive issue with the engine? My hilux surf 1kz is my daily, I badly want to get rid of the egr but have my worries of compromising the engine.
The 1KZ EGR delete is a common mod that has been done on hundreds of 1KZ engines. There are 1KZ models out there that actually came stock without the EGR system at all, depending on which market it was sold in.
Just curious, as a quick and dirty solution could you theoretically just do what you did with the vac lines in order to game the butterfly into acting how you’d like it to and not go through all the trouble of blanking it off?
You need to stop the exhaust gas from coming into your intake. If you don't want to block it off with plates like I did in the video you could theoretically plug the EGR VSV vacuum line, which would leave the EGR valve in the closed position, assuming the diaphragm in your EGR assembly is in tact and has no leaks.
Alright I decided I’m gonna do it right and blank it off, where do I order this kit?

Will I have to remove the entire exhaust manifold to get the thermocouple inside that blanking plate? I know it's pretty tight back there...
No, the exhaust manifold stays on like in the video. If you remove just the heat shield like I did in the video it will give you sufficient room.
Where did you buy the kit from? Thank you!
@@zacherylamas2677 I make and sell the kit. Info in comments. Email kubeseng@gmail.com to order.
