    Steps:
    1.Shade it with a light pencil
    2.add a shadows with a darker pencil
    3.blend it with a tissue
    4.add the strokes of the hair with a more darker pencil
    5.use a small eraser and add some highlights
    6. darken the shadow you made
    7. Blend it with a blending stump
    8. Then add stroke on the shadow
    And done!💜 I hope it works for you guys😊💜

      @trillrifaxegrindor4411 7 лет назад +12

      i know its a lot harder to draw realistically so its easy to pretend you dislike the more difficult method and prefer the simplistic one.unfortunately human nature is very predictable,and we all understand you prefer the realistic hair but do not have either the patience or skill to orchestrate a proper example of realism.
      its similar to the human nature of pretending something they bought cheaply is the best example of that thing in the world to somehow self justify the wrong purchase instead of admitting to buying something substandard because of lack of funds,again humans are ridiculously predictable in behaviour
      the dont side is o.k but it definitely is an example of more unrealistic,cartoon hair that just about anyone who can hold a pencil can recreate.realism=difficult cartoonish=simple and fast=easy

    Nice! May I suggest a future video, or videos, of some slowed down pencil/marker stroke techniques and the kinds of effects different strokes create? You mentioned here the differences kind of a scribble where you go back and forth without lifting the pencil, and the proper way of single line strokes where you lift the pencil. I just think it would be cool to see that type of thing slowed down and elaborated on - perhaps with hair and fur and skin maybe. I know you've done those, but I guess I love watching your videos so a half hour of average speed or slow pencil stroke tutorials would be sweet to me!

    And I thought I was a decent artist from listening to some of my friends. There are amazing artists on RUclips that definitely blow me away on my best day. I appreciate her sharing her talent and teachings with us. I'm currently learning through Kirsty's instructions. If I can obtain at least 30 to 40% of her abilities and apply them to my drawings, I'll learn to be a decent photo realistic drawer. Again, Kirsty your work is amazing!

    I think it's funny that most of the people commenting "the don't looks like crap" don't seem to realize that there are different art styles?
    Like, yo, she's explaining how to make it realistic, not good. Good is relative, and any art style can be good, and not only that but the drawing before hand was actually rather nice in a cartooning and/or more anime type approach
    like ya'll chiLL

      Katherin Osorio you can use coloring pencils instead of pencils

      Katherin Osorio Instead of with pencil, Do this with the colour/colours you want to use. Using the darker tones/colours as the darker bits. And the lighter bits with the lighter tones.

    I have a question please respond. How do you know what angle to put the strands of hair and where to stop?

    • @FuschelChan
      @FuschelChan 7 лет назад +3

      I guess it's practice, as with pretty much everything. Take Pictures of hair, look at it how the hair flows and then try to imitate the drawing.
      After a time, you'll get a grip on how hair usually grows and in which direction it goes etc.

    This video is useful! I love how you explained the don't for people who are more advanced, instead of JUST starting out. I haven't been able to find any useful videos that do that, so this was very helpful! My mistake was that I didn't add highlights, I only added shadows and once I was done I would roughly blended it all together. But this helped me improve immensely in just a few minutes, thank you!
