I cannot see the top part of the drawing and I seriously struggle with that side as I don't really know how to make out the shape of hte head while giving her curls at the top

Marvelous!! This looks exactly like the person I’m trying to draw. I feel like choosing where the highlights fall would be difficult, but that’s why you’d want a good reference photo. Now to just get that picture without them knowing lol! (It’s a gift)
