Seaside was my childhood. There was one roller coaster I used to love to go on I remember just being so happy on it. My parents would watch as I smiled and laughed. Then sandy came around and just took down funtown pier. Took down my childhood. That one roller coaster I loved gone. I had hope when I found out that they were trying to rebuild the pier. Then there was the fire. Took down what sandy couldn't. There was some much fun excitement and just joy before everything happened me and my family would get ice cream and fudge and play games and ride the rides. Then it all just of destroyed. My joy. I still to this day hope that I will one day just be able to go and ride that little green roller coaster I loved so much. That I can return to funtown pier and just be happy but all that happened wash it away. Even the big purple roller coaster a little down the board walk that I loved was destroyed to. Only If everything would go back to the way it was. For the purple roller coaster to still be their. For funtown pier to be back. For my favorite ride that little green roller coaster to be back. That would really be something. Or at least for me it would. I'll never forget those day's. They will always be with me in my mind and in my heart.
Unfortunately, The Funtown Pier Is Now no longer in Business because the Mayor Of Seaside Park put a height restriction on the Owner & He didn't think that it would be profitable to keep it in business even if it were to rebuilt so This Is Very sad news Indeed. Funtown pier now lives in our hearts.
I feel exactly the same way... and I know the exact rollercoaster you’re talking about. It was my favorite as well. I still go to seaside every single year but it will never be like it was when I was a kid. I can still map out in my head where all the old games and rides were before the storm/fire destroyed them. Id give anything to have a time machine and go back there for a day.
That devastating fire happened mostly in Seaside Park. Seaside Heights enjoyed most of the sympathy for the fire, while Seaside Park got no sympathy. Poor reporting.
What else does he have to do to show everyone the jersey shore tv show brought judgement but that's why Mother Nature did it haha open your heartsss!!!

They’re rebuilding Funtown Pier. It’d be a shame if a major hurricane hit right when they reopen.
