The japanese lessons here on RUclips are so different from the ones in the textbooks.They are so much closer to the language I hear in dramas, movies, TV, interviews etc. Honestly, I feel like I don't understand anything despite learning it for a year and a half. 😭Anyways , great video !

This was just hilarious! You two are so funny together. And I’m so glad you were challenging yourself to find true Japanese words. Katakana English words seem to be overflowing into the Japanese language. I know it is cool to mix and borrow from other languages but I worry that wonderful Japanese words might get forgotten.
I loved the extra vocab and picking up a few words while listening! I can't read that fast at all but I still learned a lot and it was fun to follow along. Also I love YuYu as well and I watch him to learn Japanese while also brushing up on Spanish. This was so fun lol I would love to see you guys do some more sometime!

日本人実は丁度140年前にカタカナばかり使っていた時期が有りました、何故かと言うと当時イギリスの文化に憧れてたからですと思います。その後は、カタカナが面倒臭い、言い憎い日本の文化に合わないと日本全国に伝わる言語はやはり平仮名及び純粋な日本語ですと感じて片仮名をやめたがﾊﾞﾊﾞﾙ時代が始まり海外旅行が流行し、そして日本企業が海外出展が多くなってまた外来語が日本に戻ってきた。その時代の日本人が外来語及び片仮名を知らない内にまた身につけてしまってます。ですから、片仮名無しで日本語をな話せる日本人がいないと思います。これから日本はもっとグローバル比になってもっともっと英語を使う様になると思います。でも、みく先生ねクラスは大好きです。
