@@T0m0zuki I have the A52s myself and coming from an A70, it's a big step up. The pictures are much more detailed and colorful. Huawei collaberates with Leica so most of their phones have better camera technology than these Samsung midrangers so she might be right about the P10 taking better pictures. But i'm pretty satisfied with the A52s overall.
This has been a pretty impressive offering of devices by Motorola. Quite liking these new devices, the specs, price points. A few stumbles and shortcomings here and there, mostly the lack of a phone jack, lack or Micro SD card support and the limited OS and security patch updates...but I guess it is all relative to a user's needs. Both Nokia and Motorola are have a strong/solid and varried device portfolio and quite attractive to a lot of other OEMs outhere.
Moto is doing sooo good and I'm so glad to see that especially since we lost my old favorite HTC and recently just lost LG. But I know how society works, they won't last long. As long as they keep making enough from their budget phones they should continue to stick around though.
In the strength of this review, bought phone and been using this for a week and absolutely love it. Much prefer to my Galaxy 6 Pro which I just can't get in with and thus selling to a family member.
I've never been fan of Motorola, but I really like this model. It's hard to find phone with good performance, big OLED screen and telephoto camera at this price point. This may be my next phone. I am also deciding with Samsung S20 FE 5G, and Motorola is cheaper, and also has bigger screen.
At this price range i would suggest Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 pro, you can find it cheaper and you get a 6.67 Amoled screen with 120Hz refresh rate, you still have 108 mpx main camera (with an aditional ultra macro lens), but you DO have expandable micro SD storage, stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, gorilla glass 5 in the front as well as glass back, NFC, IP 53, amazing always on display features and a mighty 5020 Mah battery that can last you 2 days without charging it at all!
@@King_Andrew Yes, nice phone as well, but it has much worse chipset, and besides main camera there is only weak ultrawide and no zoom at all. So Motorola wins cameras as well.

Long term subscriber here. Just bought one of the these to replace my G7 Plus. As a long term massive Moto(r)head, starting with the G4, I found the Edge 20 a nicely built, quick and snappy performer with a brilliant, stock Android experience, as you say, but I have to disagree on the camera I'm afraid. It's bloody AWFUL. Grainy, low detail shots, exhibiting lots of ghosting and noise with artifacts galore. Not to mention a weird 'painted' look when you start to zoom in (understand this is pixel binning causing this?). The G7 Plus camera absolutely kicks the shit out of it. I'd still recommend it as a whole though.
1. Small battery given the screen size and refresh rate. Can argue that it's a choice to keep the phone slim but the camera module is extremely big. 2. Low-light photos aren't good. 3. No headphone jack 4. No stereo speakers 5. Bad haptics 6. Video quality is only above average 7. Only Gorilla glass 3. Overall, it's a good phone but the areas where Motorola decided to cut corners to bring the price down is really a deal-breaker for many people. I mean, I love the "Ready-For" feature and all the other things in this phone but those 7 points I mentioned above are a big loss, imo.
I think this is the best value for money phone if not one of the best. Used it for more than 10 months. It looks stylish af with its slim and sleek body. It's not a metal body but sure feels and looks premium.

They aren't the best with updates, nor the quickest but I like to have a phone with stock/Pure Android with the useful added extras Moto provides - I'd rather take that than use a phone filled with bloatware or a horrible skin on top. With the Pixel 5a being a US and Japan exclusive, Moto is the default second choice.
Moto was my default choice when it was available in Pakistan. Sadly can't find it here anymore. Wonderful software. Just the right amount of additions.
When bought my 2019/2020 G Moto's was OK w/Motorola's subpar support. But paying three times more for the Edge 20 (or like four times more for Edge 20 Pro), their offering of an extra letter upgrade, yet same bimonthly security patches for 2-years, just ain't gonna cut it for me. Other than that do like what I see too bad we won't ever own one.
I'll say it. I think you need a different subj now when taking photo shots I'm not talking about going somewhere far maybe just a good place where we can see the dynamic capabilities of the camera/phone you are reviewing. Seeing the doll and the leaves for like 50x now is kinda meeh now.
Yeah i kinda agree. Maybe with field shots or some building shots to see the dynamic range and some basic video tests as well, just to see some examples of real world performance
The only thing I would change about the edge 20 (possibly in the future if there should be an edge 21 and all that) are: Smaller screen. 6.7 inch is just too huge on the edge 20, and a 6.2 inch would suffice, even improve upon the already awesome 10 bit display on the pixel density department. Slimness doesn't appeal to most people as opposed to battery reassurance. Give it a 5000 mah battery and lose the aggressive slimness marketing. Buyers in that price range are looking for some things more important than slimness, especially on a screen larger than 6.2 inch. I can do without the headphone jack, but replace the downward firing speakers with stereos. Include an sd card expansion. Just get the basics right.
How about the update 12 i am planning to buy this but i read about the problem of the phone is the touch scree. Problem and the wifi connection please do a review about the latest software update 2022….thanks
