  • Unboxing the Motorola Moto Edge 30 budget-friendly version of its flagship Pro & Ultra smartphone, including a hands-on review of the gaming performance, camera tech and more. The Moto Edge 30 is one of the best looking mid-range mobiles with a skinny, lightweight frame, plus gorgeous AMOLED screen. Full verdict on this Motorola phone hopefully soon!
The 50MP primary camera sensor is backed by Optical Image Stabilisation and performs well at most times of day. My test photos shot on the Motorola Edge 30 even came out well in low light, as long as your subject is still. You can shoot pro 4K HDR video, and the selfie cam is also good for pics and vlogging.
Powered by the Snapdragon 778G Plus, the Moto Edge 30 is also up to most games on Android. PubG and Call of Duty, no worries at all. Genshin Impact also plays well if you keep the detail settings low. However, the back end heats up after 30-60 minutes of gaming, so don't go too crazy.
The Motorola Moto Edge 30 also boasts stock Android with Moto's own bonus features, including Ready For (quick demo here). Review will hopefully be next week, but let me know your only thoughts!

Bought the International version off an Ebay seller and I'm using it in the USA (Oahu, Hawaii) with Mint Mobile with no issues. It pulled the June 2022 security update. Wifi calling works fine. Default setup language was even United States English, not UK English or one of the release countries languages. This phone convinced me to finally let go of my Moto Z2 Force. Love a thin and light weight phone. Even though its 10 grams heavier than my Moto Z2 Force it "feels" lighter in the hands because the weight is better distributed.
I'm really committed to Moto phones because the chop to turn on flashlight feature is something so useful that I can't go without it. Same with the wrist twist to turn on the camera. Once you get used to these features it's hard to go back.
Just wish updates were longer. I used my Moto Z2 for longer than was wise without any security updates.

Purchased the Motorola Edge 30 yesterday. Overall it exceeded my expectations. SnapDragon chipset, 128GB storage, 8GB Ram with virtual Ram booster, Amoled Screen (Which is hugh), Great Camera's & 5G. For me the Motorola Edge 30 had all the latest features i was looking for comparing with the Samsung A53 & M53 . Price wise for the Edge in the UK sat in the middle between Samsung A53 £292.00 , Motorola Edge 30 £379.99, Samsung M53 £435.48.

not an expert or anything.. but i dont understand why are people dissapointed from the camera performance of ANY phone.. be it a mid ranger or a flagship.. the camera of any phone will give you a basic jpeg like or compressed imagery.. if you like photography or expect to have exceptional photos, just take a DSLR for yourself.. as simple as that... coming back to the camera of this phone, its decent enough to take well balanced HDR images in quad pixel 50mp format.. and those who expect iphone like quality images, buy an iphone.. or just simply learn to edit the photos like iphone.. mic dropped..

Been using this for a couple months now and quite okay with it; however, coming from a pixel 4a 5g I do really miss the system stability and fluidity. The UI on edge 30 is a little buggy like sometimes it suddenly gets super slow and unresponsive and have to restart the device, which is very annoying; more evidently, you can see the system stutter when you are on a video call and try to use the device in picture-in-picture mode. Also, theming engine is inconsistent at times as some aspects (mostly the menu) do not adapt to the theme on changing wallpaper. I do hope moto fixes this in the next update, whenever that is.

The fhd 1 billion color, super responsive screen is one of the best there is! The edge 20 brightness was meh but I assume they already fixed that with other models before the 30.

Galaxy A52s vs Xiaomi 12 Lite, vs Moto Edge 30 and the rest of the rivals with the SD 778g chip, It will come down to the camera performance and ruggedness, where the Galaxy wins in-mo, but ever-since the A53 was released, A52s prices skyrocketed, so this might be an alternate option. What do y'all think?

I have Motorola edge 20 and i wanna know if Motorola edge 30 has a good audio quality bcs the audio quality on Motorola edge 20 really disappointed me and honesty that's the only reason I'd replace this phone with another one.

No need for always on display
      Peek display is enough
Just touch screen or just make a little shake on phone

4500 battery with a little compromise on thickness and weight, this phone could have been a dream device.

Hey Chris, what would you suggest to get...moto edge 30 or samsung a53 and why? Also, does the 50 mp ultrawide cam of the edge 30 translate better than the 12 mp ultrawide cam of the a53?

of course Edge 30 is better than A53, it is the most upper midrange phone in terms of everything, while A53 is right in the middle of the middle of midrange phones...edge 30 has the faster chipset power, even edge 30 has display HRD10 10bit color and 144hz refresh rate which A53 doesn't have, ..on top of that a gorgeous sleek thin phone that is easy to hold everyday
