I'm an old man, retired HDR/W earth moving heavy equipment mechanic. Some of my favorite things to do on our farm is to repair and maintain equipment. Most of mine is "gently used" stuff that responds well to cleaning, greasing and oiling. I still use welding skills I learned in HS metal shop to do simple repairs. I respect how all of you take pride in maintaining your equipment like I do. A dent here or there, some rust, or a welded gusset repair means little as long as the piece of equipment does the job it was designed to do and advance your farm. Great video, thx
Cole you are my favorite farm RUclips channel. I'm a 71 yr old retired western KE farmer. I like you worked with my father on the farm. I'm sure that Brian is a best friend of yours like my Dad was to me. He died 29 years ago. You are so fortunate to have your recordings to enjoy in the future. I miss his voice. Keep up with your work. Being of Nordic ancestry too, I will throw some names in the hat. Even. Ollie. Lena. Olgo. To name a few
Hello Cole and Brian. I have seen ya'll using a claw hammer several time when a ball pein hammer would really fit the application much better. I know sometimes what you need is never close by so I am sending a selection of hammers for your tool box as a token of my appreciation for all of the enjoyment I get watching your channel. These hammers have wood handles. For better grip, get your grinder and buzz about 4 rings into the handle on the bottom 1/4 of the hammer handle. Really enjoy all videos. Congratulations on the baby..
We used to call it PMCS in the military preventive maintenance checks and services. Most operators still do. Because the machines are their livelihood. Especially farming.
Hey Brian and Cole, we have all come across those dogs who almost have human personalities and Cole when you went to check on sonny he was trying to shy away from you like he did something wrong lol Just think it will be harvest before you know it, lets hope that you all have great harvest weather this year , y'all takecare and see you next time🐂🐕🌽🚜🇺🇸
….we take the PT0 generator off & take the draw bar back in because we don’t want to have the draw bar sticking out & grabbing the hydraulic hoses….That’s just what I was going to recommend! 😂😁😂Love u guys & look forward to your videos.
I worked in a small grain elevator one full season. A farmer was opening up a field and brought in a gravity wagon full of WET corn. It tested 38%. The guys in the office had to calculate the fees for shrink and drying because the chart did not go that high. It would not flow out of the wagon so I had to get in and shovel it over the top of the side boards. That was a bear of a job. It also took a long time to get that through the dryer.
What I love about this channel is your honesty and you're never trying to sell me on anything. Everything you guys do seems to be at face value, cheers to fat cows and a great harvest. P.S. missed the song of the day, lol
I saw today where you had the puppy tucked into an empty crate. Could tell he didn’t like it but I was glad to see it. I subscribe to Farmer Tyler Ranch. Last video he shared that his lovely German Shepherd puppy had been run over. I am glad to see that you take measures to safeguard your puppy!
Thanks for another great video Cole and Brian. Interesting video. You both are doing jobs around the farm until harvest for high moisture corn. Wow. Hauling that dirt got complicated with those end gate chains shorten up. Your brother did a job on them by shortening them. Sorry. Guess you got them fixed. Oh well. Looks like parts for your new grain bin are starting to come in. Will soon be up I am guessing. Nice to have that done for harvest. Ditch mowing is coming along good. Time to rake it. Ditches are hard work. Sonny likes to be out and about with you both when working around the farmstead. He is chewing a hole in his pen. Might need a bigger one soon. About it I guess. You both take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
@@dmerril68 oh gee, yeah that's relevant to what we're discussing cuz I'm competing to be the biggest ranching channel.. sodak is a real rancher, sunnies are wealthy crop farms who also run cattle... big difference.

Awesome video Cole like always Can’t wait to see the build on the new bin. Should be awesome. Can’t wait to see the video on it and all the others that come from sunny farms Keep up the great work FARM ON!!!!!
Gosh I miss that nice black dirt. Here in Southern Brazil we are getting a large area ready for a garden. We have a huge amount of clay. We are getting 1 ton of lime to prep the property along with 2 tons of manure cow and chicken. The agriculture rep from the town said it will take three years to get this area so it grows great! 😭😭😭😭
My favorite time of the yr ..."harvest" ! The new bin must be an exiting addition . Most folks get exited about a new truck or car , but farmers (if my brother is any proof) buy when it makes sense .
Check out Edison Motors there ev conversion kits for semis, no def, red dye road legal. New scania engine 300kwh gen set, 280 kwh battery in frame and 2 ev 350 hp ev regen motor axels. Also there refrigeration trailer build. The semi will power the trailer unless you lease it for events, stocked with Farmer Grade meat. Haul out aged 1/2s back loaded packed beef and pork. The trailer is parked at storla for sales and shipping. Find dry ice and a used freezer for storla. Become a farmer grade coop member and ship from SD.
Pray all goes well till the main harvest season comes. I was thinking maybe get the bigger loader back. Don’t remember why you went with the smaller one. Peace to you.

Do you guys plan on putting duals on the new loader tractor for wet corn/silage packing? If I remember right you said in a different video that it has different sized tires?
Congratulations Cole and Tiffany!

Staying ahead of the power curve. :). Great video.
When you lifted the front of your bale hauler. The right front wheel dropped a bit. You should check your bearing on your hauler.
Tiny dog did not look happy in the lock up. 😊😊
HI to all three of you guys from Indiana
Interesting views from the loader arm and dump truck bed!
can add liquid to the rear tires on the 321f if its staying on the farm, would help with ballast and traction a bit.

You should spill some gravel in Lake Sonne with all the dirt work. 😊
I for one hope you get between 2 and three feet of snow this winter just so we can see Tiny Dog bouncing through it.
HAHA Little dog "the supervisor" was on duty, I see. 😀
Ah, the fun times are had there, I got some of that stuff to do myself. Good luck have a good evening/1

You need a konk full of treats for the little one when you pen him up. Separation anxiety when his chewing.
Why are you trying to grow grass?, you can't eat that stuff. 😂

Hey bud, keep your hands out of that tailgate especially when the beds down. So keep your fingers out 😊
Was hoping to see the 4010 on the rake!
I see you have a new style New Holland mower. Where you don't have to use the half inch drive, to remove the blades. How do you like the new style??
