Out of all the videos I've watched that you've done (obviously not watched the all as theirs so many) this has to be my favourite one so far. Great aspects of chopping and collecting and a boat load of comedy mixed in. Loved the video! It’s nice to see you have too much grass! Most of time you hard working farmers are scrambling to have just enough of things. Tom, don’t ever stop singing loudly, it’s good for your soul. I blast my tunes and sing (ok maybe sounds like howling) as I do my housework, paint walls, whatever. I’m older than your dad and this is and has always been who I am. It makes me feel happy, brings out my energy and I like it. If people don’t like it, they can go pound sand! Don’t change your videos or who you are, you drew us here and what you do and accomplish. I think it’s quite extraordinary and quite ignorant that people watch your video and give you a ‘bitch’ list of what they want you to change. Let them make their own damn channel. AND your personal life us none of my business and it doesn’t change that I just love your whole darn family! Keep your chin up, you’re doing just fine!❤❤

At the beginning of the season it was so so wet and you thought the fields would never dry and make grass. Now you've got more grass than you have places to put it.
If you're planning to add 200 or 400 head of cows at the farm across the road then you're gonna need a bunch more storage space for all that feed.

@@trippinggauntlet4520 I guarantee that with the massive cattle operation expansion, that they are looking at every labour saving system out there. This is like adding the aeration system to the slurry tank. Sheeting up is something Tom hates more than anything. They're going to have to build more silage clamps very soon. Automating them makes a lot of sense.

    • @trippinggauntlet4520

@@gregedmand9939 I'm absolutely not arguing with you, I'm sure if Tom had an unlimited budget, he'd be at the front of the queue, but he doesn't. We can see that pretty much every penny he's earned on RUclips he's invested into the farm, and goodness what an amazing job he's done. Sure I remember he said before the tube they only had a budget of £1500 pa. for farm improvements and most of that ended up on tractor repairs. 6 ish years and the farm is barely recognisable.
Anyway I wasn't being critical, I was being cheeky, hope I caused no offence and if I did I apologise.

A lot of feed (silage) is indeed a good problem to have! Especially if next year's weather is as bad as the current one and the cattle have to stay in the barn for longer than anyone wants. As for the Rhino not lifting high enough, I noticed that the lift-arms are attached at the highest setting on the implement. I don't know if it is possible, but would it be possible to put it on the lowest setting? That might give you a few more centimetres of lift to lessen the scraping on the floor when you've got a severe approach/departure angle. There again, if you haven't done it, then it is probably not possible for whatever reason.

is there a farming thing that's like a giant swimming pool cover you then just put massive weights on? would that help with sheeting up process? just an idea. probably nonsense, feel free to ignore.
