I don’t comment very often because I watch your videos on my television rather than on my iPad or cellphone. I always enjoy your videos, no matter what you’re doing. I especially enjoy you restoring your vintage tractors or your truck. Thanks for all you do, filming, editing, etc. I hope you have a great day.
When I see a new thumbnail I can't resist seeing what you are up to. My father's parents had a 120 acre dry land cotton farm. I loved spending long summer days with my Grandpa Joe while he did his daily chores. My grandma always had a huge garden with the best sweet corn and watermelon along with peas, squash, tomatoes and other vegetables. One of my favorite memories.
What's amazing is that Pete not only does all we see him so on his farm but he's also the head of video editing. Most successful channels like his hire a group of young video editors to craft all the hours of footage into a neat 20 to 30-minute package. Where does Pete get the time!? Pete your drone footage is getting better and better as well. Really enjoyed your tree removal montage too!
That’s such a kind and thoughtful comment! It’s great that you’re enjoying the videos, whether it's watching them on TV, iPad, or cellphone. Your appreciation for the vintage tractor and truck restorations shows how connected you are to the process, and it's awesome to acknowledge the hard work that goes into filming and editing. A comment like this is sure to bring a smile to the creator's face-it's always wonderful to know that viewers enjoy the content, no matter how they watch it.
Hi Pete and Hillary Once again the little Case excavator has proved its worth imagine you try to pull out those trees virtually impossible for us humans,so using the equipment you have just makes the job easier on your own body. Take care both and family.
Removing them with a tractor and chain would have been a bit slower and meant getting on and off the tractor a bit more frequently, but hardly impossible.
Everything you do makes me so tired I'm a few years older than you I am tired of doing anything and everything even the things I used to love I don't do anymore I like watching you because it makes me feel like I'm getting out doing something thank you for your videos you are so informative
That mini excavator is obviously not only a great tool to use on the farm but also a great Big Boy's Toy for you. There's nothing wrong with that..Thanks for bringing a smile to us all.
Wonderful video! Just enough music. I have been watching for years and am so thankful for them. Thank you for the work that you do on the farm, sharing thoughts and philosophy of interacting with people, animals and the land that you work so hard on.
I know you don't read these, but, I can't wait to see what you do to this field. I have the same issue and will learn from this. 5 acre field, 5 sheep. Years ago it was for horses. Brought it back a bit with just mowing. Your helping more than you know.
Everything old again is new again. I knew a Farmer in the Fingerlakes region back in the 60's who took three brush hogs and bolted and welded them together in that same "Batwing" configuration, and designed his own pully system off the center one and drove the two outside ones with V belts above the decks. it worked great! He bought his center one new and "scrounged" up the other two free! they were in sad shape but little mechanical work and welding got them operational and he used them for years with great success. at least 7 years that I knew him. anyway. great to see that work the way you wanted it to and 25 yrs on that field is good run on that grass. thanks for sharing ECF
Why are farmers considered to be experts? Because they are outstanding in their field. Another motivational video. Thanks again for sharing your time with us.
We always paint the top of fence posts with orange spray paint before removing in an attempt not to lose a post and find it with machinery. Much easier to find once it falls in the grass.Good luck with your project.
Hi Pete. TBH a mold board plough is exactly what you do need to be using for this application, turning over old pasture. A chisel plough is fine for regularly worked ground year on year for crops where you only really need to stir up the soil and help break down any weeds and trash. But for actually getting the sod turned over like you plan to do you can’t beat a traditional mold board plough. Looking forward to seeing the video for this when you get it down. Thanks Pete.
I know you're enjoying time in the tractor seat it's one the funner parts of farming. Looking forward to the plowing video. Have fun sitting here in north central Florida awaiting the arrival of hurricane Milton hoping it continues its southern movement.
Thank you Pete for showing us how you replenish your land. That's always a learning thing to watch how this is done on different farms. You and your family have made my families day now for many years and we hope you have a great Day. See you on the next one.
We just love your videos! Our three year old granddaughter also loves you! Hazel always asks if she can watch Farmer Pete and Farmer Hilarie. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into farm life. Keep those dad jokes coming!
That Batwing mower is an absolute beast!! Wow... And the excavator has turned out to be very handy for more than just ditch digging as well! It's gonna be interesting watching this field get revamped... Thanks for taking us along!
A little rain and the wind picked up a little too it sounds. When I was younger we subdivided the hayfields to pasture cows late in the year. I would do that myself as my brother was back in college. So I took the old trusty MM Z and i spent a whole week just making fences then at the end of the week I was back in college too. Sometime during the first weeks of November I would come home and spend the weekend taking all of those fences down. Fond memories. Now the cows are gone but "Old Minnie" has a new life ( not unlike a Farmall MD).
That’s a handy machine on the farm or wherever you need to take down overgrowth! I used to operate a 21’ batwing finish mower for a customer and could do 20 acres in a few hours around trees and ponds. But reclaiming your land is good for the environment and the livestock will benefit the most. Very nice program you have there and looks very nice as well. Love the videos, thankyou.
Some might say your little digger is an extravagance on a farm your size. I see it saving you money and hard labor every time you fire it up. Thanks for including us in your endeavors.
Hi Pete. Loved how you pulled posts using the excavator! We always had to use a loader and wrap a chain around the posts. You’ve turned it into a one-man-operation. Nicely done! Thanks for sharing!
Just wanted to tell you that I love your Videos!!! I have been a follower for a few years and am always happy when I see that you have a new video posted!!! You and Hillary do such an awesome job caring for the farm and all of the animals!!! I always love how Patty the cow sounds like she is yelling at you when you chat with them!!!☺️🎉🎊
The more I see the excavator, the more I like the excavator. I want one for Christmas. Maybe I'll buy my husband one. Pretty sure I would loose track of what he was digging, yanking out, dragging around or pounding in as well as all the other ways he would find to enjoy it. I would never get my fair share of using it! Lovely mower and even better neighbors for lending it. Good neighbors are a real Blessing and I just know your family are the best neighbors. Can not wait to see how the field turns out. Say Hi to Patty for me and I'll see you next time.
I had the honor of meeting your father last week in Auburn, he's a great guy and I'm not just saying that because I got one of your T-shirts. Looking forward to more of your videos. Be sure to tell your dad I am one of your subs 👍
Pete another great video. I can tell you really enjoy running the excavator and the bat wing mower was impressive. I also like the drone footage. We watch your video while having our morning coffee. Have a great rest of your week. Thank you.
In recent travels, I've noticed a goodly number of farmers are going back to mold board plows. It does a better job of returning roughage into natural fertiliser. Sometimes you can't beat old school principles and methods.
Hi Pete, I am from Central Scotland and most farmers here regularly plough their fields. I watch a number of channels on RUclips and I think you’re going to be the first one to actually plough a field and disc it later on before seeding it. Can I ask that when you come to plough it you explain as only you can how to set the plough up for depth and draft etc so it turns the sod over properly. What other treasures have you hidden away in the overgrowth 🤔
Used to use a bushhog just like that one clipping pastures and on cornstalks and tall weeds like those. I used an 806 and a 1456 and sometimes a 966. My favorite was the 1456.
I was sad when you stopped raising pigs, but I totally understand your reasoning behind it. Today was another sad day when you removed their pen. But, I'm super excited to see the process of reseeding a field. I've always wondered how it's done and how long it takes for the grass to become grazeable! Can't wait to see it! And I'm intrigued by your mentioning of some other big projects. I like when there's a Part 1, 2, etc., to videos! :)
Wow, love the batwing, made short work of a big job. You and Hil are amazing, SO many big projects this year. Bet you're looking forward to winter this year for a little breather. Love the channel, thanks for sharing.
Pete I have a job hopefully for 3 more years but me and the wife hobby farm goats we do ok but you're videos to me are a life saver for stress I appreciate what you do I can understand your stress with the video but you're kind of a life saver
Nicely done Pete! I am curious if the ol 756 will be in line to be refreshed once the one in the shop is done? That Case mini is sure been worth it, eh? Take care and thanks for the video.
I'm looking forward to watching you put your field back in production. Heavy cultivation still has a place on the farm. Nothing can beat a mole board plow for what you are planning. At least in my opinion.
Really exciting, interesting stuff, Pete! Always love the view from your place west toward the lake. Thanks for all the hard work and time making these videos-means a lot to all of us!!
Perfect presentation on mundane activities takes some really good directing/editing to turn it into an engaging piece of storytelling. Keeps everyone smiling and eager to help you out. 👍
Thank you, Pete! I love your videos! I used to live in Lansing and worked in Ithaca. Live in South Carolina now. I especially miss seeing all the beautiful fall colors this time of year in New York. Thanks for sharing. Great job clearing today!
Hi Pete! When I worked at a public works and parks job a number of years ago we had a gang mower for cutting the grass on the soccer fields. It was very much like the one used in this video. The guys using the gang mower wouldn't wait for the pto to stop turning before raising the wings and smash the yokes in the shafts that worked the wings. Your field is going to look amazing.
I hope the see more videos of this project. I have just found this channel and I love it, every thing I have always wandered about in farming. I have been watching you content all day.
I look forward to seeing how you rebuild this field, I have a couple of fields myself that need doing and being able to see how you do it will be helpful. 😊
You could see the difference in the quality of the pastures from the drone shots. The pasture you're going to refresh wasn't as green and lush as the other pastures around it. Looking forward to see your process of refreshing the grazing pasture. Also, that mower is a beast. Cut through that goldenrod like it was nothing even though goldenrod can be tough to cut. Anyway, thanks for another great video Pete.
Loved the montage of jobs - once again you are showing that the proper equipment, properly maintained, will get the job done. The grin of satisfaction tells me that you have been itching to get at this lot. Careful that you don't how too much fun or the powers that be might want to tax you. Keep doing what you do Pete (from south west Victoria, Australia.)
Good morning, Pete. Thanks for bringing me along on your special project today. Case Excavator was a good investment for you. You're having to much fun!!
Thanks from all of us, who just can't wait for everyone of your videos on the farm. I for one and sure that many more on here are seniors watching you bring back many memories from so many years back growing up and working on the farm.
That goldenrod thought it had you 'stumped! Wrong! Nice video about the mental machinations of a farmer----lots to do and a measured way to do it. Loved that batwing mower! Thanks, Pete!
Pete your videos are such a relaxing pass time thanks for sharing and I really appreciate you and the way you all manage the property caring for your livestock and all 👍👋

Looks good
Same heres...
Dittos here get YOUz
Yes!
It's nice to see your tractor get a good workout for a change. It was doing some real work. Always love your videos Pete thank you.
Absolutely love the narrator! Their excellent delivery kept me hooked throughout the entire video.
Big job Pete definitely getting your monies worth out of that mini excavator thanks for the great stories
Cattle eating grass and letting nature wean the calves…that’s a happy herd! Nice job Pete.
A "boy" and his toys, cracks me up! Pete - if you ever had a doubt about purchasing the mini-ex, the look on your face is priceless!
I wish my husband had one ! 😃
What's amazing is that Pete not only does all we see him so on his farm but he's also the head of video editing. I suspect Pete NEVER SLEEPS!
That’s such a kind and thoughtful comment! It’s great that you’re enjoying the videos, whether it's watching them on TV, iPad, or cellphone. Excited to see the refresh.

That mini excavator is obviously not only a great tool to use on the farm but also a great Big Boy's Toy for you.
There's nothing wrong with that..Thanks for bringing a smile to us all.
I really enjoyed watching that batwing mower chewing up the grass.what was awesome was the drone footage of your beautiful farm!
Wonderful video! Just enough music. I have been watching for years and am so thankful for them. Thank you for the work that you do on the farm, sharing thoughts and philosophy of interacting with people, animals and the land that you work so hard on.
Love the dad jokes too 😅😅😅
The soothing sounds of a diesel-powered tractor being put through the paces = refreshing. 👍
With all the removing and drainage you've done this summer, it must be gratifying. Thanks, Pete!

Pete you look like you have found your groove and you look happy! You are putting out excellent content, we all love it, even the very simple stuff!!
I have, thank you for noticing that.
Why are farmers considered to be experts?
Because they are outstanding in their field.
Another motivational video. Thanks again for sharing your time with us.
❤😊 THAT'S A BETTER DESIGN MOWER THAN THE M&W MOWER THAT I USED ❤😊
Always a great watch. The humor and happiness makes watching this a highlight of my day.Keep up the jokes. 😂
Always impressive to see all the editing and camera work on these videos. As a farmer I appreciate what you are doing. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the video Pete. Nice to have a neighbor farmer willing to share his mower, lot less expensive then buying one.
We always paint the top of fence posts with orange spray paint before removing in an attempt not to lose a post and find it with machinery. Much easier to find once it falls in the grass.Good luck with your project.

omg, my eyes would have been swollen shut with that amount of golden rod! Looks great Pete!
Goldenrod is not allergenic like ragweed
I always find your mowing videos particularly satisfying. Nice work Pete.
I know you're enjoying time in the tractor seat it's one the funner parts of farming. Looking forward to the plowing video. Have fun sitting here in north central Florida awaiting the arrival of hurricane Milton hoping it continues its southern movement.
You’re just having too much fun with that mini ex Pete. Lots of improvement to your farm this year!
This is a fantastic project! This renewed pasture will be loved by Paddy and the gang!! Many Thanks
Wow. What a difference the right equipment makes. 😊
Thank you Pete for showing us how you replenish your land. That's always a learning thing to watch how this is done on different farms. You and your family have made my families day now for many years and we hope you have a great Day. See you on the next one.

Dear Pete, You are OUT STANDING IN YOUR FIELD!!! UnBEElievably SO!
Bwahaha, well played
Yep, there's Pete, out standing in his field!😅
HAHA, berry punny.
Thanks Pete for the video. I've got a patch behind my garage that I've got to mow down and you just gave me an idea how to do it.
That Batwing mower is an absolute beast!! Wow... And the excavator has turned out to be very handy for more than just ditch digging as well! It's gonna be interesting watching this field get revamped...
Thanks for taking us along!
That CX25 mini-digger is one mighty little tool. Very impressed with it's excavating ability on your drainage project.
A little rain and the wind picked up a little too it sounds. When I was younger we subdivided the hayfields to pasture cows late in the year. I would do that myself as my brother was back in college. Very interesting and enjoyable. Thank you for taking us along.
Great video, Pete.. That plow day must of stirred up the urge to keep the plowing thing going. The transition will be fun to watch
That batwing is quite the tool, thanks for the ride along. I am looking forward to the next chapter in this field as well as, the next projects.
Some might say your little digger is an extravagance on a farm your size. I see it saving you money and hard labor every time you fire it up. Thanks for including us in your endeavors.
That is one nice batwing holy moly!
I can't wait to see how many rocks you accumulate after plowing. Thanks for the video.
Hi Pete. Loved how you pulled posts using the excavator! We always had to use a loader and wrap a chain around the posts. You’ve turned it into a one-man-operation. Nicely done! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for taking us along!!! Blessed Man!!!!

You and Hillary do such an awesome job caring for the farm and all of the animals!!! I always love how Patty the cow sounds like she is yelling at you when you chat with them!!!☺️🎉🎊
I see a very nice grazing field when you're done. Some turning, aeration, compost, seed, rain, sun on some well rested soil. God bless you, Pete.
Thanks for bringing us along as you work on your farm. I enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks for the videos, Pete.
Farming is hard work. Then there is the fun side. Playing with all the big boy toys.
Thanks Pete, loved the video. You do such nice work. The field looks great 👍 😊
The more I see the excavator, the more I like the excavator. I want one for Christmas. Maybe I'll buy my husband one. Wow that mower is amazing. Everything looks so different after just one pass.
Always interesting to see all the things you can do with your excavator. Not just a digger 😊
I had the honor of meeting your father last week in Auburn, he's a great guy and I'm not just saying that because I got one of your T-shirts. Looking forward to more of your videos. Be sure to tell your dad I am one of your subs 👍

As always, I love the sound of your 756 working a little bit!
Mowing provides instant gratification. It’s the best. 💚
In recent travels, I've noticed a goodly number of farmers are going back to mold board plows. It does a better job of returning roughage into natural fertiliser. Sometimes you can't beat old school principles and methods.

You have a very beautiful farm when you sent that drone up I could really see your pastures and your house and barns very nice You're a lucky man
There is no luck there, they have worked hard for it,and they still do.
And a very wise man too.
Definitely rewarding working with the right piece of equipment to clear land.
That looked like you were having fun. The Cortland apple is one of my favorite varieties.
I was sad when you stopped raising pigs, but I totally understand your reasoning behind it. Today was another sad day when you removed their pen. Used to do this with the H and a disc, breaking up with stalks and the root balls getting ready to plow. Thank you for your video.
Fantastic as always Pete. New uses for the excavator, great videography, now with catchy tunes, new machinery, cool drone shots. Carry on lad.
NEVER a dull video Pete. Looking forward to all your projects and the day to day chores too. Thanks
Can't wait to see this project. We always have mixed results in seeding from plowed ground. Interested to see how you work it out.
Mower did a really nice job.
Did you see that rabbit (?) jumping from the grass at 18:31? I was just thinking what could hide in that thick, tall grass? Well, I got my answer! :)
I thought it might have been the cat.
I was wondering if it was Ezra leaving the scene at Warp 9.
A deer can hide in grass half that tall.
Yes you will nearly wet yourself when you finally flush that deer walking through that field.
Pete, the Woods mower was a good purchase. One of the better mowers on the market. My uncle has had one for 20 years.
I love your happy chuckle when using the equipment.
Looking nice Pete. Can't wait to see you get it plowed and reseeded. Yes sir you need to turn it every once in a while. Thanks for sharing the video.
Thank you for all the knowledge you share!
Hi Pete, another good video. Entertaining for an old 87 year old man.
Great fun new project, Pete. It's really enjoyable to see you having fun with different equipment. Thanks for sharing!
I hope the see more videos of this project. I have just found this channel and I love it, every thing I have always wandered about in farming. I have been watching you content all day.
I look forward to seeing how you rebuild this field, I have a couple of fields myself that need doing and being able to see how you do it will be helpful. 😊
Thanks for sharing today's work Pete. So gratifying to watch that bat wing mower clean up that field

Good morning, Pete. Thanks for bringing me along on your special project today. Case Excavator was a good investment for you. You're having to much fun!!
Thanks from all of us, who just can't wait for everyone of your videos on the farm.
I for one and sure that many more on here are seniors watching you bring back many memories
from so many years back growing up and working on the farm.
That goldenrod thought it had you 'stumped! Wrong! Nice video about the mental machinations of a farmer----lots to do and a measured way to do it. Loved that batwing mower! Thanks, Pete!
You make me wish I had become a farmer. I'm too old for that now but I'm glad I can watch you do it. Thanks!
Like it a lot...Did anyone else see that Rabbit run out of the field and into the shadows of the solar panels...Great Video and Great machines
Into everyone's life, a little rain may fall. Thanks for sharing. Good neighbors.
Pete your videos are such a relaxing pass time thanks for sharing and I really appreciate you and the way you all manage the property caring for your livestock and all 👍👋
