Other fishing RUclipsrs: take note...this is how it is done. No ridiculous, loud, obnoxious music, calm demeanor, detailed equipment and conditions, no false enthusiasm...just the sound of nature, the paddle rippling the water, and the reel. The majority of other fishing RUclipsrs are becoming more obsolete with each new video Matt posts. Great video...as usual ‼️👊🏻👍
I watch these on my iPhone which is linked to my hearing aids. That gives me an almost surround sound audio and I catch myself turning to see where a sound came from. He has one with a loon calling. It’s unbelievable.
I've had other BPM baits ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
Knowledgeable, calm, and a joy to watch. Really glad to have found your channel. Thanks for the high quality fishing trips. The audio really takes you there!
I really love the way those big fish are going back in to the water, no big splashes...just a smooth...ok thanks bud for putting me back where I belong😊
By far this channel has the best fishing content on RUclips. Relaxing, calm, sounds of the paddle, reeling in quality fish and beautiful nature. Love it!
Nice. Reminds me of Texas fishing with my Dad. We caught giant Largemouth. I caught one 11 3/4 pounds out of a small Tank my friend had access to. My Dad was the best Bass fisherman ever . I miss those times. Love you Dad.
I'd love to see him roll up to some big B.A.S.S. of FLW tourney with just his kayak while all the "Elite" anglers are in their 200,000 dollar rigs, and crush them at the scales. And you know he would.
@lahokc59 nope not at all man im all for having fun but as someone who is actually flipped over for the first time this summer in my fishing kayak and lost 75% of his shit it happened so fast you can't react and if you're not wearing a life jacket you might be fine but it happens so fast it startles the hell out of you these guys just rip right past you and your left to deal with their wake
My new favorite channel. I wish some guys would make deer hunting videos the same way. No loud music, no reshooting set up footage after the shot...just give it to me pure. Thanks.
That’s how you do it right there. Don’t change a single thing with your video set up. A nice calm fishing video with a nice calm demeanour. Keep them coming
RUclips sent a random suggestion so I watched your fishing video. Then I watched another one. And another one. I LOVE your fishing videos! 💕 I'm not even a fisherman! You have some pretty amazing places for fishing available in your state. So serene. I just subscribed so I don't miss any of your videos. 👍 Thanks for posting!
Awesome channel, awesome fisherman, you are the Bob Ross of lake and river fishing aren't you? 🙂 I love how you gently nudge them on their way as you release them. Gentle and considerate. Thank you. 🙏
Idk if it's the calm almost monotone voice or the polite thanks for joining me at the end of your videos but you're like a Bob Ross of fishing. Take that for what you will.
Matt, you are truly a Bass Assassin, hands down. I am impressed at the hookups using the rattler lure. Congratulations on your success on the water and thanks again, for sharing.
Every LARGE MOUTH video you makes reminds me of "The Adventures of Harry and Charlie" that BassMasters did WAY back in the day. They were always "in search of the wylie-lunker-bass". Great video and I'm glad you got yourself some really good ones.
You never cease to please my appetite for fishing ! If I was in your area ..you'd be the man I would wanna go fishing with ..... because from what I see you've got this thing figured out !
Damn, that lake is gorgeous. Many lakes looked like that when I was a kid, and now most resemble suburbs with lawns, satellite dishes and fancy homes. You have something really special in that lake.
I like finding lakes with carry in accesses, it keeps the motor boats out and traffic to a minimum. This one has a few houses on it but it’s a quiet little lake. Big bass and great scenery too, one of my favorite spots to hit with the kayak!
Your video quality keeps progressing and I've enjoyed watching the channel grow. Your calm and relaxing vibes really are addicting. Keep on doing you man, thanks for the content
Another awesome trip with you and the Rattlesnake lure! WOW! It caught some beautiful large mouth bass! Very pretty fish and you display them very well. Good job as usual.
I've got the brown version of this lure and while gimmicky, the action is fantastic. I caught several gar with it last time I used it, I need to get and try it again for some bass.
Thank you for taking us along on another great fishing adventure. The 5 1/2 tank you caught was a monster. Also, it is great to see you over 100K subscribers.
i like to relax while fishing or relaxing...So, I've found 2 channels that allow me to do so. Yours and The Fish Whisperer. Wholesome, inspiring, and I love it. Nice 6lber!!
I literally bought the same rod and reel bought a kayak and snagged a few nice top water lures you have shown on your channel you sold me on the whopper plopper you sold me on the spider the rat and now I'm back on amazon buying a snake lure man I love your videos it's what gets me through my day and winter
This time of year the small bluegills always seem to move out to that deeper water in the mornings on this lake. It was tough to see on the footage but when it’s calm I’ll see schools of them out deep making ripples on the surface. Usually the bass aren’t to far away!
That was awesome! It was also interesting to see you pulling your kayak with the dolly. I think people may want to see how you load your yak onto the trailer. It’s part of the fishing experience.
Maybe one of these days I’ll do a video of just getting the kayak unloaded and set up. The cart comes in handy for lakes like this where it’s a carry in type access.
Love your videos. I’ve learned an amazing amount, and you’ve made me a better fisherman. Avid angler and paddler myself. If you ever make it to the St Paul, MN area, I’ll take you fishing on some great local lakes and rivers on kayaks.
"...And there's a friendly little largemouth over here. Ooh, he's gotta be about five pounds... Maybe he's got some friends nearby... I dunno, use your imagination..." : )
I'm a fairly new sub here and I'm amazed at what the bass will actually eat for food here cause I'd never thought that a bass would actually eat some of the things that you've shown on here that theyll crush on the water have a good day now
So from watching you Ive bought a mouse and duck and now im buying snake lures!!! I fish the conneticut river in Vermont and New Hampshire and the bass and pike are so fun to catch on top water!!! Great videos I love the river smallies vids too!
I fish bigger swimbaits quite a bit, I don't know how much that snake weighs but just a tip, if you go around a couple ounces or more, put a short mono leader on it, or use 20 pound big game hunter mono. If you backlash with braid while throwing a heavy lure, that thing will go soaring into the sunset. Might not be too big if a deal with Savage gear stuff, but it sucks with custom made stuff that sinks.
Nothing but the most serious sized Bass are going after that thing, haha. That was amazing to watch. That's one of those lures when I see them in the stores, I say to myself, "I don't know", haha, good to see they actually catch fish, and big ones at that.
I did catch a pike on it too that wasn’t much longer than the lure itself. I was going to add it to the video but it took one of the trebles to the back and got a little torn up, pretty sure the fish was fine just didn’t want to deal with the troll comments saying I’m hurting fish lol.
Other fishing RUclipsrs: take note...this is how it is done. I love this guys videos....I can put my headphones on and it’s just like I’m fishing on my lunch break
I watch these on my iPhone which is linked to my hearing aids. That gives me an almost surround sound audio and I catch myself turning to see where a sound came from. He has one with a loon calling. It’s unbelievable.
The man should narrate children's books. I'd buy one.
I agree, by far my favorite fishing channel
Best I have found so far! 👍🎣
Bob Ross never died, he just went fishing
Lol was thinking the same thing.
LOL* ....its all good! lol
Fish a happy river.
Exactly
Bro lmao
Bass actually consider it an honor to be caught by the Yak fisherman.
They should
Bass catch the Yak fisherman, not the other way around
Haha
Facts.
Samuel Resendiz rrr

The way he shows the fish to the camera, no one else on YT does it better
Facts.
It’s so difficult with a go pro on to do that... no matter how hard I try, Matt is a total pro
Your videos are the reason I went out and bought kayaks for me and the wife to do more fishing in rivers
Definitely the right tone for a fishing channel. No silly talking or crap
You should make a guide service. I’m sure people would love to catch big fish out of kayaks in beautiful locations.
the thing is anyone can do it, you just gotta research locations, and the species of fish you're trying to catch.
If that thing came swimming by me, you'd think I was a holy man.
That’s awesome man! I love to hear a good positive story like that on here. Stay safe and happy fishing
I'd love to see him roll up to some big B.A.S.S. of FLW tourney with just his kayak while all the "Elite" anglers are in their 200,000 dollar rigs, and crush them at the scales. And you know he would.
No argument here don't get me wrong bass boats are the sexiest things on the water but kayak can go places boats can't and no insurance or payment lol
@lahokc59 not to mention the assholes on jetskies and speed boats etiquette for guys on paddel crafts is long gone
The Bob Ross of fishing...I like listening to his narration as I relax before sleep.
My new favorite channel. I wish some guys would make deer hunting videos the same way. No loud music, no reshooting set up footage after the shot...just give it to me pure. Thanks.
how are you not at 1 million yet
That’s how you do it right there. Don’t change a single thing with your video set up. A nice calm fishing video with a nice calm demeanour. Keep them coming
Man, your videos just make me wish I was up at the cabin every morning...
RUclips sent a random suggestion so I watched your fishing video. Then I watched another one. And another one. I LOVE your fishing videos! 💕 I'm not even a fisherman! Awesome channel, awesome fisherman, you are the Bob Ross of lake and river fishing aren't you? 🙂 I love how you gently nudge them on their way as you release them. Gentle and considerate. Thank you. 🙏
Holy sheesh!!! That second fish of the day was massive. I definitely need this lure
Love the content and variety of crazy different lures you use. Keep up the good work brotha 🤙✊
Idk if it's the calm almost monotone voice or the polite thanks for joining me at the end of your videos but you're like a Bob Ross of fishing. Take that for what you will.
I just bought the same thing yesterday for my birthday
Happy birthday.
happy bday!
Thanks!
Such great action on the snake lure. That monster is 5 1/2 pound bass was awesome. Great content as always, Matt!
Something about watching the bass swim away after you release them is just so satisfying.
Thanks for taking note and now carrying the scales out with you, nice to put a weight with the size, thanks!
3 quality fish on that crazy lure Grats! Almost makes me want to go out and buy one.
You never cease to please my appetite for fishing ! If I was in your area ..you'd be the man I would wanna go fishing with ..... because from what I see you've got this thing figured out !
Just got back from a fishing trip in upper U.P and caught pike , smallmouth, and rock bass . Love your videos keep rockin the fish
NDYakAngler where is this at
This is why I subscribed. Great fishing. No extra BS in the video. Nice and peaceful video along with some killer fish!
Your video quality keeps progressing and I've enjoyed watching the channel grow. Your calm and relaxing vibes really are addicting. Keep on doing you man, thanks for the content
Bob Ross of fishing. Listening to you is soothing. Great job I love your videos.
The sounds of nature and your relaxed yet exciting commentary is amazing
50% bass fishing 50% ASMR
100% subscription
makes me think that the old saying "the bigger the bait, the bigger the fish" may have some weight too it.
In the case of the second fish, 5.5 lbs of weight!
True. U won't get as many bites, but when u do 90% of the time their good size
One of the best videos I’ve seen this year on big bass! Thank you sir.
Thank you for the best fishing videos on RUclips! Love the variety of wild lures you use. Best channel! 👍👍🎣🌿
Legend has it, he speaks more than 100 species of fish fluently.
Every time I watch one of your videos, I buy more tackle. Bought the 8" version a few weeks ago, now I want this one.
Awesome video man always cool to see something new. Keep up the good work !
Video Intro of the Year...for Every Video 🌅 Good Morning!
Another awesome trip with you and the Rattlesnake lure! WOW! It caught some beautiful large mouth bass! Very pretty fish and you display them very well. Good job as usual.
Few things in life give me as much pleasure as one of those bucket mouths hitting a top water lure. Nice vid.
The fish should thank YOU for catching them. Always great videos and excellent content
I've got the brown version of this lure and while gimmicky, the action is fantastic. I caught several gar with it last time I used it, I need to get and try it again for some bass.
Personally I dont think I could have a 12" snake lure in my tackle box, just sayin...😬🤣
I’d flip out everytime I opened my tackle box😂
I have a 12” snake but it ain’t in my tackle box.
Squire Bozorth 🧢 you packin 2 inches
@@tylerpetersen3693 it's a joke dude...
LOL* YIKES'!
Thank you for taking us along on another great fishing adventure. The 5 1/2 tank you caught was a monster. Also, it is great to see you over 100K subscribers.
Just bought this!! Hope it catches fish for me as well. Love the action in this lure!!
Love this! Thanks for being a kayak angler I don’t have a fancy yak or good fishing but this is awesome!
i like to relax while fishing or relaxing...So, I've found 2 channels that allow me to do so. Yours and The Fish Whisperer. Wholesome, inspiring, and I love it. Nice 6lber!!

Best fishing show on RUclips by far
Is it just me or does he remind you of watching Bob Ross paint happy clouds? I love these videos.
Bassin’ with a rattler - gotta love it!! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻😎 Thanks for yet ANOTHER great video!
I would never have thought to throw a top water lure in 15-20 feet of water. Incredible!
This time of year the small bluegills always seem to move out to that deeper water in the mornings on this lake. It was tough to see on the footage but when it’s calm I’ll see schools of them out deep making ripples on the surface. Usually the bass aren’t to far away!
NDYakAngler you are the man! Thanks for the advice!!
Tanks after tanks! Water seems so peaceful there. Great content as always!
Great vid. Looks like a fun fishing trip. Those snakes have a sweet action. Glad ya caught some big ones.
Love your videos. I’ve learned an amazing amount, and you’ve made me a better fisherman.
Avid angler and paddler myself. If you ever make it to the St Paul, MN area, I’ll take you fishing on some great local lakes and rivers on kayaks.
Really awesome to see how this channel has blown up. And it's still gaining momentum. Well deserved!
I always find myself getting way more audibly excited than you do every time a bass smacks your lure. 😂
Great Video, it was fun watching, you got me going again, I’m going to pick up one of those Savage gear snakes soon! Thanks!
I just recently started kayak fishing. And i have caught more fish than ever even when boat fishing. The kayak is the best way to troll as well .
WOW that first bass was actuality really nice
Great video! I really have enjoyed the ones that have watched so far. Thanks for sharing
"...And there's a friendly little largemouth over here. Ooh, he's gotta be about five pounds... Maybe he's got some friends nearby... I dunno, use your imagination..." : )
Just being on the water casting around without a bite is better than anything else I can think of ,add big bass,BONUS.
Hi there I like those basses... what lake are you fishing at?
please make more videos please you the best yutuber because I love fishing
I really enjoy these very relaxing bass fishing videos somebody in one of the comments said he's the Bob Ross of bass fishing and I have to agree
The Bob Ross of bass fishing
I'm a fairly new sub here and I'm amazed at what the bass will actually eat for food here cause I'd never thought that a bass would actually eat some of the things that you've shown on here that theyll crush on the water have a good day now
Watch the Chewbaca video. It isn’t the lure, it’s where you cast it.
So from watching you Ive bought a mouse and duck and now im buying snake lures!!! I fish the conneticut river in Vermont and New Hampshire and the bass and pike are so fun to catch on top water!!! Great videos I love the river smallies vids too!
I am rapidly running out of complimentary comments. Truely another superior effort. Well Done.
Insane footage I love this channel
Hands down my favorite fishing channel love your content man
Awesome man .I caught a 5lb 3 oz on a whopper plopper this past Friday. So this video was right up my alley. Always great content keep it up .
Really nice video nothing better then BASS exploding on top water lures.
Great voice well done!!!!
I'm shocked on how awesome that lure is by far by top summertime lure the past 2years
So, again, I just went fishing by watching your video. It is like being there. Great content as always!
This mans vocal chords produce audible chocolate. Im lying out and drying out in the sultry summer sun that is his voice
I love this guy. I didnt even know half of these lures he uses existed
Best fresh water fisherman ever
The Bob Ross of fishing
Top drawer mate -great session and some decent fish ! Nice one
Love throwing those baits. Another great video 🎣
I can't wait to see your channel blow up and watch you fish full time
I like listening to the commentary. You have a bit of a Bob Ross sound to the commentary, easy to listen to.
Thoroughly enjoyable, really makes me want to get out on the lake.
Nothing but the most serious sized Bass are going after that thing, haha. That was amazing to watch. That's one of those lures when I see them in the stores, I say to myself, "I don't know", haha, good to see they actually catch fish, and big ones at that.

That was awesome to see l would have never thought that the bass would go after a snake lure so aggressively.👍🙂
