    Hello NDYakAngler,
    That's some Exciting Fishing for only a few hours of time. I only wish, I could find some Hot & ready action of that caliber on a future fishing adventure. The old Venerable Zara Spook,is one of my Favorite top water Lures. Thirty some Years ago down in the Florida Everglades, I had extremely exciting action with the spook, catching Large lady Fish on almost every cast, an evening I'll never forget.

    That red and white spook is legendary, man. I can't imagine how many fish you've caught on that thing.
    Have you ever fished the Missouri near Bismarck? I'm fixing to move to ND from Oregon and will be living nearby in Lincoln. Apple Creek runs into the Missouri, which is said to have a healthy population of smallies. I'm hoping I for some back yard fisheries as lucrative as yours!

    • @ndyakangler
      @ndyakangler  5 лет назад +1

      I’ve never fished the Missouri but I’ve heard it has some great smallmouth fishing. The tributaries are worth checking out too. You’ll be close to Nelson lake as well, no smallmouth there but it has huge largemouth and the power plant keeps the water open all year.

    Quick question Matt! On an average day like this where you're running one lure most of the day, about how many times are you retying? Seems like you never break off!
    I always feel like I'm OCD retying after a couple fish or after a bunch of casts into nasty stuff, but then I'll break off and feel like an idiot! haha.
    I'm usually fishing 10lb straight braid, or 12-10lb leader.
    Keep crushin' em buddy!

    • @ndyakangler
      @ndyakangler  2 года назад

      Heddon makes two versions of the redhead color, freshwater and saltwater. Only the saltwater one has the holographic detail on it, I just swap the hooks out with some made for freshwater. Not that there’s a huge difference, the freshwater ones will dissolve eventually if a fish breaks off with one.
