The cutout is actually unmodded, it's jus a breakaway magnetic usb-c adapter (like this one a.co/d/hQyQErB) that I leave plugged in. The bluetooth controller comes with an optional usb-c port, and can be flashed for VIA compat (instructions here: ydkb.io/help/?hhkb=#/en/other-firmware/vial?id=necessary-instructions).
custom pcbs will have via support, the cipulot pcbshave oss firmware and VIA support. If you want bluetooth support, the HFKB pcb has that but the firmware is closed source due to licensing reasons (still has via tho).
@@oakerface95 VP is pretty comfy as well - the low front height is probably my favorite thing about the typing comfort of the VP. But the pro 2 is still way lighter and supports bluetooth so it's easier to just chuck in my bag for the day.
New Sagwa video day is a good day.
New toon comment day is a good day
👀👍!
that wooden cover is pretty cool, since it doubles as a cover and wrist rest! That price tag hurts tho 😭
Yeah 😭, I saved a few bucks buying it when the dollar was strong vs yen, but the price is steep
Ooofff the switches are way too scratchy for my taste. I love how the cover doubles as the wrist rest
Yeah! I've been mulling over whether to oil the sliders, but I kind of like the friction so I've been putting it off for now 😅
do you prefer silenced or unsilenced topre?
So good, HHKB undefeated! Where did you get the little cutout for your USB C port? And how did you flash your controller with VIA firmware :O

Thought I was enjoying using my tkl mx board today but it turns out I'm not. Back to HHKB I go!
Why?
:)
One day I'll find an MX board that dethrones the Pro 2. One day... 🥲
was the velvet pro close at all in comparison to the Pro 2?
A Leopold with stock MX Brown can be a worthy challenger XD
