emergency stick trade with the zombie villager that I just cured because he spawned in the cave, I am tradong sticks because I accidentally crafted all my wood into sticks and I need more inventory slots to store diorite, and no, I didn't bring a weakness potiom and a golden apple into a cave, a witch threw a weakness potion into the zombien and I found the golden apple on a minecart chest, now I can rest easy knowing that I have enough arrows to fend off creepers

Ngl I don't understand a single bit of redstone (never taken the time) but I love watching Mumbo make these contraptions and get excited when they work
I love how this contraption was originally made in Java but is more practical on Bedrock. (Because you can push Storage Blocks. Chests, Droppers, Hoppers, etc.)
Hidden fletching tables are for you to put in a cave, so when you are just walking around with your friend, you start acting really panicked, place a redstone torch on the wall, and then there is a fletching table and you calm down. I will be filling ally worlds with hidden fletching tables.
I love that the machine gets fixed in the first two minutes and then you reinvent the machine like 7 times afterwards. I was kind of expecting a negative video here but this is inspiring.
Seeing these new desings operate is incredible - its like looking at a running steam engine with the main piston and all the auxiliary valve openers and closers moving back and forth.
Classic "Mumbo Messing with Redstone" video, this takes me back. I can't believe we are still here over a decade later, and Mumbo is still teaching me new tricks.
Challenge for Mr Mumbo of the Jumbos... Take each of those "block swapper" designs and incorporate each one at least once (Bonus Points for Twice each) somewhere in your base on the HC server. We all know you dont want to have to walk to one specific spot for your crafting bench so having a dozen+ scattered about would be helpful. Then for Uber Extra Bonus Points have a few different hermits stop by your base and give them 10min to find as many of the "Bench Swappers" as they can and successfully interact with them. Just a fun little idea to promote hermit interactions and free easy content.
For performance redstone dust dosen‘t make updates in the air where no blocks are. Now it only updates when there is a block next to it. This makes redstone significantly more resource efficient.
0:40 The reason this works is because the lever still updates the piston when you turn the lever OFF. The redstone dust begins powering it a tick later, but the piston is already in its retraction sequence. When you turn the lever on, the piston still gets updated by the redstone dust turning off. So it extends. It's surprisingly simple.
this could be really cool to reset villager trades instead of breaking -> picking up the table -> forgetting to trap the villager well enough -> putting the villager back in the hole -> placing the table

I know Mumbo is great in many different things, but 'redstone problem solving Mumbo' is my favourite. It's like coming home from a holiday/vacation. Yeah the hotel was nice, it was warm, and the views were spectacular, but now I'm home in my own bed with my Dog and it just feels right ^.^
My audio glitched and stopped playing at around the 1:15 mark right after you flick the lever. I was laughing pretty good thinking you were actually speechless for once. It was really funny for about 20 more seconds and I realized you weren't speechless and my phone was causing the problem. 😅
This is definitely my favorite kind of redstone video. Seeing a bunch of different variations of the same machine, and having explanations of the differences and how the same-ish result is achieved helps me understand redstone way more than seeing a single build guide or just having the components explained individually.
I honestly feel like Mojang should add the ability to toggle redstone dust individually into it's varying forms (not just the cross and dot) so that you can choose certain sides that get powered (i.e a single-block t-junction or straight) - that would be interesting :>
I would watch the absolute hell out of a series of mumbo making simple but cool redstone contraptions like this in a tutorial style to teach people how to get better at redstone
This is why Mumbo is my favorite minecraft youtuber. You’ve got all these minecraft youtubers making elaborate big minecraft contraptions or builds that take big farms and make them into hour long videos. But then you have mumbo that makes a good video about a single redstone contraption and I absolutely love it
im no good at redstone, but im pretty sure the noteblock being powered causes the update, i dont think the lever would power/unpower it, and the redstone torch does it
