Finally, a proper record run without a loss! The last three record times all had at least one loss. I was determined to get a good run that went 16-0, and by golly I finally got it!
Ritchie and Bruno sure made me sweat it out, but otherwise the finish was really good. I was able to improve 56 seconds from my previous time.
I'm not sure if I will go right back to this run or decide to submit it to SDA and sit on it for a while. Getting a run I could submit to SDA was pretty much the whole motivation for continuing this run.
Played on Wii Virtual Console (#savetheframes) with a GameCube controller. (No, that's not a typo.)

Happy birthday 🎂
That misty fight jesus christ.
Happy birthday 🎂
Dude, I've been playing Pokemon Puzzle League for almost 16 years. I love this game with all my heart. I've been able to beat S-Hard quite a few times, but never without a significant amount of losses. Watching you makes me wish I can be as good at this game as you and many other extremely good players. You're awesome.
Happy birthday 🎂

That was one hell of a Mew2 fight.
3:05 WHAT IS CHILL !? Lol
you're really good at this. GG
This is what Panel de Pon 64 was turned into.
& They Used The Same Sound Effect When you Died & Win in Panel De Pon 64
That was epic. Bravo! :D
I love this game
Pokemon Puzzle League confirmed for MLG 2015 Pro Circuit
Holy sh*t! I thought I was good, I've played my whole life including now on the original n64 and I didn't even know there was a mode THIS hard, you are AWESOME!!! ps how many times does pikachu say pika? Lol
For real I thought I was good at this game back then but I look like nothing compared to this guy.
🤦♂️🤦♀️
Oh this is very nice, once I get an actual version of this game I'm going to try to beat it
I'm thoroughly impressed! You did an amazing job with this run and I haven't seen anyone this skilled in a long time. It makes me want to challenge you to a battle lol. XD I'm considering speedrunning for the first time and honestly, this is one of my favorite games of all time. Are there any tips that you care to share about running this game? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
if you can get a Wii u and get it on the virtual console there (might need a n64-USB port then too, dont forget QUALITY controllers that won't wear down quickly.)
You'll also need a capture card, elgato's the best of course. This is probably the only way to get high quality footage as emulating this game.. well. no. #savetheframes
(if you don't want to do this anymore, NO! DO IT! THIS GAME NEEDS TO BE IN THE SPOTLIGHT!!!)
I could never beat mewtwo. I only beat gary a couple of times and ended up on him a couple hundred times already and still stuck
AWWW POOR BABYYY
I may never be able to play the PPL version of Panel de Pon, but I practice a few runs pretty much every single day with Tetris Attack.
Usually my time ranges from around ten seconds to about a minute. More often than not, it's between twenty to forty seconds.
The AI really loves to waste time with me, maybe because I do slightly less combos.

omg i played this everyday for the longest time
dam boy you goin hard
face you are zica when I saw this video I remembered when I played today I no longer have this tape of that game and I was good but I miss that era was worth face by put this video I remembered my childhood I spent my childhood playing this game
Dude, how do you play so accurately with a GC controller? That tiny D-Pad has me missing for days.
Also, don't you feel like this category is pure rng? I can beat some stages in 14 seconds and others can take 7 minutes.
Practice..and small hands... and learning out of the necessity of not having a better d-pad available. My luck with controllers is terrible.
The category is not "pure" RNG, per se, as you can exploit some AI weaknesses with good timing. You do have to get lucky to take advantage of that timing, though. :/
Omg, I used to play this game...
I didnt expect someone to speedrun this lol
"You are waisting my time"
I'm so mad it took as long as it did to beat Brock.
Pika!
I challenge you in any Panel De Pon style video game.
Holy Shit!
WHAT THE FUCK THAT MISTY BATTLE HOW?!
She was weak to electric...
+kirbynsonic sorry but that doesn't work
fucking awesome man!!!!!! GOD
Holy. I still play this game! Yesterday to be precise! But being that quick, is crazy. Managed some 17 second wins. And a 14 combi in 35 seconds. Still. You're on a completely other Level. Maybe I need a better Controller.
Question. Do you use the stick or the direction cross?😃
damn I thought my pb of 32:34 was good 😂 I'll have to step up my game. great run dude
This game, much like the StarTropics games, was designed in Japan by Nintendo with international markets in mind...
Pikachu vs Geodude 😐
I download this game, but its Easy-Normal-Hard. There's not S-Hard :( .How ? Pls
beating hard unlocks v-hard, beating that unlocks s-hard
I hope Someone Dumped Panel De Pon 64 1999 Prototype Rom
😨........I.I..IPOSSIBLE
How in the name of Jesus Christ did you get this incredible good and fast in PPL? I don't get it, I play it for more then a year and didn't beat Mewtu jet. I practice every day and don't get much better. D:
I'm not gonna lie: I don't consider myself very good at most skill-based games. The only reason I show any skill at all with this game is because this game was my childhood. I started playing this soon after its release in 2000 and just challenged myself to beat it without losing. It's all become instinct.
That may sound discouraging to someone who is trying to get better, but this really is a game you have put a TON of work into to get better.
So I have to practice another ten years to get any better? Hahaha ...
No, thank you really much. I was hoping that there is a special trick behind your amazing speed and skill, but it looks like practice is all you can do to get better, huh.
Nooooo he did not beat mewtwo that fast. Lol
It's too bad this game never got a sequel. (And NO, "Pokémon Puzzle Challenge" doesn't count because it's not anime based. It's like if "Kingdom Hearts IV" was based on Universal properties-like "Back to the Future", "Fast & Furious", and "Jurassic Park"; it WOULD be a "Kingdom Hearts" game, but NOT a Disney game.)
Thats Because this Game Is a Reskin of Panel De Pon 64 (Scrapped Panel De Pon/Tetris Attack Sequel) That was supposed To Release in Japan but It was Cancelled And Transformed in GameCube Port in Nintendo Puzzle Collection
I am so terrible at this game i have no idea wtf I'm doing most of the time
I've started working on a tutorial series on how to play and speedrun the games. If you want to get better, stay tuned.
thia guy is ok, he just gets lucky a lot cuz its a fucking rng fest
Hold the phone, man.. I never seen a person can beat Pokémon in split second.. I can beat Pokemon just like anyone else! I can win the game in a second or min, but no one can't take me down!
Watching an outstanding, and wonderful TAS player like you, would make me wanna challenge them! I can beat Pokémon Puzzle League! I'm an expert of this game, and this gives me more experience in my whole life.
I can beat: You, WebNation, and other players who TAS this. No one can't beat me on a marvelous game, and I will remember and promise this. I'm the most perfect, most amazing, most professional player in the game!
If I challenge you an Pokemon Puzzle League battle, and I beat you in the game, how would your Fans/Subscribers react to it? Don't answer that. I'd practice this game, and I'm ready to battle the player who TAS on this game!
By the way, Good TAS video!
Can't tell if joking. This was not done by a computer. The only "tool" that was used is a controller. It's not a TAS.
Speedrun and TAS are the same.
... no, they literally aren't. TAS is short for "tool-assisted speedrun". It means a speedrun frame-optimized by a computer, not done by a human.
It doesn't matter... Speed-run and TAS is the same. It's my opinion..
+DarkestSeaBear Your opinion is not based in reality. Tool-assisted speedruns are not created in real time. This was done in real time. I don't know how you can ignore those facts without coming off as crazy.
I played this on a Xbox Controller on my computer. And I've also done it with my keyboard. You ain't got shit.
How the fuck do you see the chain patterns so fast and how do you have such amazing accuracy with the cursor? Do you happen to be an asian?
