Pokemon Puzzle League: Super Hard Mode (No Continues)

- Was replaying this and wanted to kick this goal off my gaming bucket list. I was more focused on finishing this without retries first rather than speed, but any match that's over 1'30 gets stale because of how repetitive garbage matches with AIs are. At the start of each match, you just have to be aggressive by doing a long chain, a proper succession of separate chains with combos in between, or use ! Blocks ASAP, and hope that the AI screws themselves over when the garbage blocks land. In Super Hard (The highest difficulty), all opponents behave similarly from what I've experienced.
Also, the original Wii Classic Controller is great, but I need to nab a physical copy to use the much better N64 controller. You'll see some finger slip ups here or there because of said Classic Controller.
I'm replaying this game now that it's on switch to finally beat Mewtwo, and I didn't realize how incredibly difficult it was. You can just see how good the AI is because it doesn't get put down by constant combos, absolutely insane.
The AI is really good I agree. The same thing with gary too.
@@dragoncaptain678 Are you sure it is AI skill and not some cheating though, I mean Gary in round one gets his with a 9X attack, this sends down a block that is about a quarter of the screen alone, and this is with his screen already loaded with blocks and previous attacks he hasn't cleared yet, if this was a human player (as I did to a friend once) the game would end the second the block hit
@@samhershey4644 Yeah, the game gives you enough time to see the block land, and that's it. The game is so stupid with how brutally difficult for all the wrong reasons it is. As I said above, Challenge on GBC >>>>>>>>>> League.

I replayed this recently and I struggled so dang hard on super hard mode. This was just masterful.

I was never able to beat the hardest difficulty but I did reach Mewtwo It just blows my mind I was able make it to that point as a 8year kid and also in one of my retries Gary essentially killed himself. He kept raising his board without stopping and lost That was the funniest shit i have seen

@@Atylonisus That's right. There are a few games however, which I do have nostalgic childhood memories of playing on the N64 during that era, such as DK 64, Banjo Kazooie, Rampage 2 Universal Tour, Mario Party, Super Smash Bros, Yoshi's Story, Mario Kart 64, Golden Eye and Super Mario 64.

Beyond impressive! I never knew there were very hard and super hard modes in this game, back when I played this on Nintendo 64, I had easy, medium, and hard. Wow!
You unlock them by beating the game on Hard then on Very Hard.
Pikachu's "Pikachu" is just such nostalgic! It's been SOOOOO long since I played this in my childhood days. It was one of my favorites. Now I'm 30yrs and wanna play this again.
God Bruno out of all the opponents in this game is the MOST STRESSFUL.

On my first time playing "Hardest" difficulty on Tetris Attack, it took me 35 continues to beat the final stage (12, Bowser)

It's too bad this game never got a sequel. (And NO, "Pokémon Puzzle Challenge" doesn't count because it's not anime based. It's like if "Kingdom Hearts IV" was based on Universal properties-like "Back to the Future", "Fast & Furious", and "Jurassic Park"; it WOULD be a "Kingdom Hearts" game, but NOT a Disney game.)

I wish this games OST was better. Most "Danger" themes don't even fit most of the time with Bruno probably being the only exception.

bruh, the final boss loses in 30 seconds but gary fuckin oak on round 1 takes 2 mins to beat
So it's basically required that you rip off a 10-chain combo first thing and hope the CPU buries itself on every single level... That is so very stupid. No wonder I can't do a thing on S-Hard... Will always prefer Puzzle Challenge. Your gameplay was good, though.
I beat two copys of this game rhe seventh and tenth copy ever made, and did it by using no continues. i called Nintendo and told them about this they were mad.

Lots of rng are implied in each game. The time is more a factor of luck, while consistency is the real deal of an expert.
