What is Ecrew? When I had to uproot and move to Indiana, there was a car community called Bcrew (B for Bloomington, Indiana). These guys became my family. Instead of partying on the weekends, I was working on cars- and I loved it. Since starting youtube, I have started what I call Ecrew. It's a community where you get to take 10min out of your day and be involved in a build, but more importantly it's a family.

I've owned cars like this. I can assure you the universe is saying "let it die, we put it in the sketchiest place possible in terrible condition and your stubborn ass still bought it" lmao
According to Babvvo and Tebbvo laws, sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime!!!!!!!
Guarantee those missing parts were sold because they were super valuable. This happened to a car I sold, locally, with new custom parts. It was changed back to stock...everything.😅
Then they can spin the car as stock and we'll taken care of...

@@mandrakejake nope, they aren’t stolen. In most cases, people steal these cars cause they have the stock versions. So most people literally just swap all the parts to their car and then abandon the stolen car with their stock parts.

I know this is kind of low key content for you, but honestly this is very interesting content. You have this car that's come back into your life and the sky is pretty much the limit. It would be cool to see you turn this into a badass drift car, completely tricked out and shiny and maybe give it a ceremonial renaming.
I absolutely want to see you fix her up. It's worth it, and I'm excited to see the progress!

Two years ago, I purchased my first Subaru. My son is on the hunt for a Subaru of his own. He just finished high school and will be headed to UTI to be a mechanic. we will be watching this series for sure.

Emelia, we both know if there are metal flakes on the oil dipstick, then there is a chance of major damage to the engine, like the main bearings/ C/S thrust washers/con rod bearing/ camshaft bearings & and thing else that uses bearing.

I remember being over at the shop to help out a friend at one of the others. I started recording cars and walked around the corner and spotted her when she was brown. I was like no way is that who's car I think it is. Still have the video. Looking forward to seeing it on the road again. Maybe next time I'm around there you'll be there too. Would be cool to chat. im so glad this car is back this car was the reason i started watching you i had a 05 wagon just like it but the engine blew and i couldn't afford to replace at the time. long story short i had to sell it because of stuff going on in my life it was the only car ive ever had that made me extremely happy but sad thing is the guy i sold it to parted it out and junked it so i will never see my subie again.

thank you, once again you are working on what other folks call junk which is what i enjoy about your channel. when this video started i was thinking "please get rid of those wheels and tires". my opinion, the wide wheels with narrow tires stretched on them looks stupid. wide wheels with the right size tires, yeah! get poopturd back on the road, or make it a rally car.

Poop Turd is my favorite of all your cars. It's the most relatable for me, I have a 2005 Impreza hatchback that is almost identical to Poop Turd other than the paint. Also, most your other cars are way out of my price range, but cars like Poop Turd are at a more comfortable price point.
Have you thought of doing a Mighty Car Mods style build and dropping a built flat 6 with a turbo into her. A Super Gramps northern cousin if you will. I'm sure the MCM guys would help out any way they can and it would be sweet to see you guys work together!!!

I have a huge soft spot for impreza wagons. I drove my little 1.8 liter from AK to ND to WA then back to AK. It only ever died on me once from a blown fuse. It's been lifted and wheeled in water up to the bottom of the windshield, then it was lowered on sticky tires and raced at autocross. It currently sits in the yard and I'm trying to find the motivation to get it driving decent again.
In regards to the engine, "good" and "runs" are two TOTALLY different things LOL. Looking forward to the Z content, not gonna lie Nissan hit the nail on the head with those looks.

I own a 2013 Impreza and a 2005 Prius.
I’ve put less than 3000 miles on the Subaru and roughly 30,000 on the Prius. Thanks partly to Green Bean Battery helping me rid the Red triangle of Death I have to say the Prius is my favorite.

I own the twin equivalent of your wagon in Ireland and upgraded it massively over the years. You gotta save it and build it way better into a complete bonkers sleeper road car. It came back to you for a reason 😊
Built Ej207 2.1 cdb engine, new Garrett rotated turbo setup, flex fuel/ethanol/Methanol injection/race fuel setup, 6 speed dccd transmission, all the suspension upgrades and all the rest. You already know the recipe for it..... Then.... Compare it to the guys @mightycarmods modified Levorg Sti and their build. Hell.... At this stage I reckon you guys could even organise a meet up to put both finished cars through their paces. That would definitely be entertaining 👍

I got my 08 sti engine rebuilt at EJ’s and my front clip from JDM of California from your videos. My sti was actually on the lift in your video a while back lol. I rebuilt my crashed sti, built a long travel Tacoma, a s13 coupe, 78 Honda cafe racer all in my driveway.

I would start from scratch take everything off evaluate every piece. Replace what needs to be replaced keep what you can. I would get a used parts if you can ,get new if you can't . New parts maybe be better just saying. All in all I'd do a everyday rally car that can be used for a young person. Mild hybrid if you can swing it . Interior digital dash and put in a infotainment system and adjustable air suspension . As always this is just one man's opinion. My favorite Subaru is the turbo Baja 2004 version

Damn that subie looks good i totalled my 2018 last friday i rolled it. Got cut off and it was cold out over corrected and hit a retaining wall
If you decide to give poop turd away keep me in mind! No games no bs. I usually fix my own. But a coworker on drugs totaled my car. Waiting for court doesn’t replace a car that can’t be repaired and a judgement doesn’t exactly put the funds in my hand. Anyway keep doing you. The view is nice!

I recently had a similar issue with a car I sold. I used to live next door to a LEO and was pretty good friends with him. Always went out on the weekends off-roading with him and numerous other LEOs. Sold a car before moving. Over a year later someone got pulled over by a state trooper on his way to Vegas. That trooper was 1 on the LEOs I used to ride with. He called my old neighbor to verify that I had sold the car. If I hadnt know these LEOs, I wouldve been liable for everything.

if it has good comp before strip down,suspect cracked oil pick up pipe or those jolly good fellows just
cold start'd it and redlined it every day,
be cool to make it into a pick up/ute with a K20 turbo swap and RWD drift missle coz it has that vibe already

lol .. literally been trying for over 2 years to complete an engine replacement on my son's Impreza, and still haven't heard the first start. Turd manages to fire right up after being in a chop shop. :-)
I remember this episode, it popped up on my feed again and after watching it again, it occurred to me that maybe the original purchaser, by way of the dealer, may have bought it for parts, put them on their personal Subaru, then replacing some of the sweet parts you put in with oem ones in order to resell it again in order to recover some of their costs? Or not. Just a thought.
Thinking with this car you do a full tear down like you did for your other Subaru, the build this one back up either with wide body for another drifting car. Or Baja. It's got dents now so no fear.
