Oh man, when Bentley tossed that exhaust manifold it made me think of Derek pitching dead batteries. This young man is definitely a chip off the old wrench!
Good to see a kid today doing the things we used to do when we was kids, Good clean fun. Derek and Jessica are raising these kids right. God bless you guys!
Great job Bentley. I can see you carrying on the torch for Vice Grip Garage while the old man sits in his easy chair drinking a wobble pop. I'LL BE DIPPED.
Awsome burnout, Bentley!! But can a guy get a small work bench with a vice, a power strip, and a light! I love what you're doing, guy. All kids your age should watch your show and learn. You're truly a breath of fresh air. Won't be long and you'll be building a going to town rig!
Bentley you're a natural! Made my day! Here's a guy 54 years young, watching you do what I did around 42 years ago 😂! Until high-school when I got in trouble for trying to put a Chevy 283 in my go-kart 😂. BUT, what I did learn is the Briggs & Stratton 5 horse power engine that you can bolt onto your go-kart, can be tweaked up to 65 horse power!! We used to run dirt tracks with it on the weekends. Just like dirt cars, except smaller 😂. And our "racer" go-kart ran on alcohol. My dad was so impressed with how quick it was, he decided to take it out for a spin. 😮😅 Unfortunately, he was clocked with a radar gun at 68mph!!! Lucky for him, the officer was someone he grew up with and gave him a break! So lesson learned for me, was NEVER take it or any of my dirt bikes onto public roads! Thanks for the video Bentley, looking forward to seeing more. I also enjoyed watching your dad and brother's road trip! Pretty cool. 😎🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I agree i see Derek shine threw in Bentley! Love watching both of you guys! and Bentley young man you are well on your way, Learn all you can from your Dad!
Bentley, that was AWESOME Buddy!! Great to see you following in your Pops footsteps!! If you're gonna put new rubbers on, shred the old ones, perfect!!
Bentley, you got a great future ahead of you and you’re never gonna go hungry. I say that when you have a skill that people need, you can always survive. Keep the videos going, you’re gonna be just like your dad.
That was a A LOT of soot in your exhaust. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the black spots of your valve cover was from that exhaust. I'm only a few minutes into the video, but you're nailing it, so far.
Young man, you did an awesome job! Suggestion: besides your Dad of course, there’s a guy named Jim Condon who has a channel where he refurbishs generators that are literally rescued from the landfill. He really knows small engines.
This is your best video yet! I like your explanations too. I don't know a lot about small engines so I feel a lot more confident to tackle all the hand-me-downs I inherited after my dad passed. It's great to see all of you working together and learning to be self-sufficient. Since you have a spare....maybe fab up yourself a cool rollbar style bracket over the motor at the back since now with all that power you are going to roll it! Mount the tire to it then it will help you bounce back on all 4's. Btw that comment about the best gas in the world and blowing the motor...😂😂😂😅
I don't like saying chip off the old block but you had me when you said wait a minute and you come back with a hammer so I have to say no chip off the block but you doing excellent young man I'm sure you're making your pops so happy but let me tell you you're making us proud of you from my family to you keep up the excellent work thank you sir
I laughed so hard out loud when you turned it look at the camera and said it didn’t have gas! Great job on the go kart, it looks fantastic and I love the exhaust
Well done Bentley, great job buddy. Really cool to watch. Good info and very well presented. I raced Clubman class and Class Australia racing carts at your age with my uncle, and driving these carts teaches you so much about how to drive on the edge of what the cart can do but also how to drive with others round you. Again very well done and keep it up 👍✌😎
Excellent job Bentley, those predator engines are amazing. I've used a few of them on my builds, one of the things you may want to check is the 'Valve Lash', hard starting and rough running could be due to that issue. thanks, looking forward to the next video.
Excellent work Bently. Maybe it was two stroke gas in there. That would explain the fouled plug and the smoke and oil coming out of the exhaust. Can't wait to see it in action after the upgrades!
After watching this video,.. man Bently your making huge progress. Definitely see your confidence grow Lil bro. Honestly can't wait to see more.. I remember your first set of videos, you were so timid and shy.. can't wait to see more now.. and my man, throwing parts.. that's all part of turning wrenches.. I'm SUPER proud of you even though you have no idea who I am lol..GREAT JOB MAN!!
I love seeing this kid is not sitting in front of a TV or playing on his phone all day he out there doing what I did as a kid go karts and dirt bikes making stuff happen that's what life is all about.
Man this takes me back to the days of working on my mini bike, atvs, and dirt bikes as a kid with my cousin and best friend. I remember walking to the gas station with my cousin to fill up 5 gallon gas cans when gas was $0.97/gallon
Bentley, you have gotten downright good at this stuff. I love the go-kart. They never get old. I'm almost 60 years old, and I still own one! I think you have a career on your hands!
The engine is still running very rough though. Maybe put a cleaning agent in the oil and do an oil change afterwards to wash out all the unburned fuel. Maybe check the sparksystem for issues.
This kid is learning at a fast pace and he's getting it all figured out.Bentley you are doing good 👍 your dad is teaching you well keep up the good work keep learning keep pushing keep it up expand your knowledge build on what your dad teaches you your going to go far in life
This is great Bentley! Great work and great job with the narrative!! You have a great teacher but you're doing you're already developing your own style. Muy impressivo!!
Very cool to see this channel. I was actually going to suggest that Bentley have a channel working on side jobs for dad’s builds. Surprised that Dad doesn’t promote this channel, I am sure views would skyrocket if he mentions your channel. I have been watching Vice Grip regularly and didn’t know this channel existed.
Nice job Bently, you might think of some way to support your muffler. It may bounce too much and damage your mounting studs or bolts, a big tuning fork!!
I bet the float height in the old carb was too high causing your rich condition. The tab that pushes the needle is pretty fragile and shaking and banging on the carb will bend it. Bouncing across a field wide open on a rigid frame go kart could bend it over time too. Great video!
Oops! no fuel... lol. Young Feller shredding old tires, yeah man! The rig looks sweet and I applaud your hard work and dedication. Great job! Now go rip it up Bentley!!
Great video, Bentley. Excellent demonstration of installing the performance kit. So glad you understand the importance of "shredding" an old tire! Keep up the good work.
My first go-cart needed more power. So I put on a Honda 70 motor on it. Paddle hand brakes shifted with a 9gauge wire. It was a blast. I used a snapper mower for a frame.
Awesome Bentley! You did an amazing job and thats one heck of an occomplishment. Your folks I know are proud as can be little man! From personal experience I wanted to suggest you weld up some kind of brace from maybe a motor mount or somewhere low. Up to maybe 3/4 of the way out the length of your cool exhaust. With all the bumps and vibration and having the weight of that exhaust hangin out... I've always had them crack and break over time. If not right away if your being extra gnarly!. But amazing job dude, your going place my sir! Keep up the fun and education. My boys and I watch you and have been fans of your dads for a long time. We've become uber fans of yours and I know my boys have gotten friends from school watching you as well. So your teaching kids all over the country and prob beyond our borders. And getting kids fired up about working on their own stuff as well! Very cool stuff your doing and carrying on a legacy to a new generation!!!
Heck kids your age are to busy playing video games. I'm really happy to see a young working and not worry about getting dirty. You have my respect sir 🫡
Awesome video, Bentley!! You did an excellent job!! Your go-cart reminds me of one I had back when I was a whole lot younger back in the mid 70's! It didn't run nearly as well as yours does but I still had tons of fun & many hours of pretending of winning races in the NASCAR series, INDY CAR, SPRINT CARS on dirt & asphalt and just regular DIRT CAR RACING!! Thanks for all of the great memories!! Your videos just keep getting better!!😊
"If you're putting on new tires, you have to shred the old ones" Understood, and I concur.
Oh man, when Bentley tossed that exhaust manifold it made me think of Derek pitching dead batteries. This young man is definitely a chip off the old wrench!
LOL, I had to go back and watch that cuz I missed it the first time, it's at 11:55 if anyone else wants to find it.
Kid is already ahead of the game. Kudos to the parents.👍
he needs his own sponsors.
@@jokerswild4823 his sponsor is his Ole Man😉👍
Good to see a kid today doing the things we used to do when we was kids, Good clean fun. Derek and Jessica are raising these kids right. God bless you guys!
Bentley is a Derek incarnation! He's going to be an amazing mech when he's grown up!
Well I mean his dad named him after a car
Bentley is the only person that can pull off the VGG persona.
WOW Bently you nailed this show! Your getting smooth and confident. Might be giving your dad a run for the money real soon!
Can he edit. Dad edits is what we see
@@richardotero2376Why do you have to be mean like that?
@@richardotero2376how many RUclips videos does your channel have bud? I’ll wait.
Great job Bentley. I can see you carrying on the torch for Vice Grip Garage while the old man sits in his easy chair drinking a wobble pop. I'LL BE DIPPED.
When the jet rolled off the dirt bike seat, I was waiting for a classic, "yep, never see that again!"
Derek and Jessie, you two have to be so proud of all your boys and even though you both work very hard you have done a fine job raising them
I need Bentley to come to New York to upgrade my snowblower so I can smoke the tires 😄 while snow blowing!
Nice job Bentley!

Oh its good to see lil guy doing this. I know daddy is proud as a peacock. You go Lil Grip!
This old grandma loved the spark plug toss! I’m super impressed with your skills on the engine and the camera.
there are 2 really proud parents behind that camera... good job little grip!!! you got the youtube's magic ....
2:04 just started watching and if you haven't yet, ask pops about a solid/live axle swap.
I am amazed how smart you are. I belive most adult wish they could wrench as good as you

Nice job Bentley, love the upgrades! Not gonna lie, it’s always a good project when you have to apologize to 2 family members in one episode 😂
Keep doing what you're doing. Don't give up.by the time your a high school senior, you won't have to work. Good job.
Keep it up little guy, you are a perfect image of your dad in my opinion. The more you work with small engines the more you will learn
Nice job Bentley I remember doing the same thing 60 yrs ago. Keep em runnin.
That was a A LOT of soot in your exhaust. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the black spots of your valve cover was from that exhaust. I'm only a few minutes into the video, but you're nailing it, so far.

Bentley, I can't wait to see you graduate into rail buggies. Always be thankful for your parents, bud.
Congratulations on reaching 100,000 subscribers Bentley. Great job!!!
Great video, Bentley! You worried me working over the seat on your 200R…chemicals, popping a hole by accident…😬

Should look at putting a live axle on it. That would be a huge benefit and make it much more fun.
Wow, a chip off the old block. Absolutely awesome job Bentley and it's been great watching you spend more time over on your dad's channel.
