Nobody else on RUclips I'd rather watch, came for the cars stayed for the whole family and Derek's sense of humour, big love to the vice grip clan
You're whole family is great! You and Jessica are teaching the boys so much. There's a lot of families who have no idea what they are doing .You two are doing it right❤
You're on a UK TV channel, Road Worthy Rescues, you've made it world wide Derek, well done!
Always great to see a dad working cohesively with his young men in training. Keep up the Great work Derek and Jessica
Thank you so much Derek. I was feeling low. I lost my dad a couple years ago. Your old school. I respect that. We need more guys like you these days. Thank you 😊
There was a law written many moons ago that states "as soon as you light a fire we will send the winds to push it away from where you want to burn"......It was great to see the whole family pitching in helping to get the place all gussied up. Looks like you and Jessica deserved a cold beverage after it was all done.
Is that the same law that causes bonfire smoke to follow me no matter where I am around the fire?!?!
@Vy:)
Smokey is always trying to tail grab me!
@@bodarville2510 Maybe snowman can cool things down.
It's not so implausible, because the fire creates an updraught of hot air, so the air rushes in to fill the gap. We had the same effect when working in corn fields, all of a sudden a dust devil would take off, sucking winds in from 50 yards away. ( those were the days, before combine harvesters were invented..!)
@@63flight 👍
Love seeing what a feller has going on around the homestead.
Awesome seeing the kiddos handle the vehicles/ machinery 😁
Very calming and relaxing to see everyone working together...and not yelling at each other! T. Y.!
Some of my most favorite memories as a kid are helping my Dad (& Grandpa & Uncle) cut wood for the winter and hauling away the brush. It was exhausting and we would be out in the snowy woods all day, but it taught me the value of family and hard work. Thanks for that trip down memory lane. ☺️
Your little humans worked hard! So nice to see them drive trucks and cars like when we where young! Loved that Derek!❤
Absolutely loved that shot with the boys riding in the ramp truck with Jessica sitting in the back too 😇🙏🏻
Your boys work like we did as youngsters. Great to see. As a farm kid growing up in Wisconsin we always fought with the tree rows. In 5 years you get to do it again lol
The gift that keeps on giving…
More fire
I love seeing the work you, Jessica, and the boys are doing on the old homestead. You gotta take advantage of that free labor before they're gone!
Seeing your youngest drive that ramp truck like he's done it eleventy billion times was right on. Love seeing videos from The Lodge. Keep 'em coming!
Amazing to see how they've grown right before our eyes! I remember when they couldn't see over the steering wheel or reach the pedals.
Love the fact u spend so much time with ur boys and miss Jessica! Such a beautiful family! I try so hard to spend every min I can with my kids. When I was diagnosed with cancer I realized how precious it was to spend every min I could with the kids and grandkids. Life’s to short and even min matters!
those boys are something else...precious moments, cheerish and hold on to them because they grow up as fast as your grass grows...love the channel you all rock keep up the great content ,god bless you all
You have a great family. All chip in to help when needed! Goes to show great parenting!!!
You know I love you and Jessica, but I think the boys are the stars of today’s adventure! Each one of them looked like they worked their tail off for the family. Awesome show!
Great video. It’s great to see the whole family out working together. The boys will one day look back at this memory with fondness. Thanks for sharing.
Love the lodge channel Derek!
Thanks!
I’m a Jeremy of the 1982 variety myself…seen your name and had to comment lol 👍🏼
Family all working together to achieve a common goal ! Thumbs-up guys your doing a great job !
Nothing like clearing land w your boys!! Very important in developing men
You my friend are a workaholic. An inspiration and a fantastic mentor, to I'm sure, many people including myself 👍
So good to see all the family pitch in together and the boys are skilled at driving tractors and vehicles! Looks like the weather cooperated too!
As a former TN resident. I see all that poison ivy and itch just watching, I think I got it just watching.
I hope you all are immune!!
I love clearing land.
You are all doing an amazing job!
If you’re talking about what he pats at the beginning it’s Virginia Creeper.
You need someone with a forestry mulcher, short work of all that.
@@Mag_Aoidh actually Virginia creeper has 5 leaves
I saw poison Ivy in there. Didn't bother me as a kid, but I can't get anywhere close to it now.
@@marcusaurelius2770 I was immune until my mid 20's. Now if I get within 10 ft of it I seem to break out.
OMG! My very first car was a Duce & a quarter! I sure do miss that ole gal, power & comfort, what more can anyone ask for? 😍🥰
man you have some cool kids. the skills they got now are lightyears ahead of the millennials. good work ethic and no fear. awesome stuff mate.
That's my favorite Lee Sabre. The rescue with your boy, then all of the steps to resurrect her.... She's a power tour car, or one of the boy's first car. She deserves some fixing and onions....
Great job! Nice to see the boys and Jessica helping out. Some of my fondest childhood memories were doing stuff like this with my Dad! Your boys will never forget these times.
boys are growing up right thanks to you and yours.they will be good men some day.
Love to see the family envolved. Building memories. Looks like those boys are really growing up. Great family video.
Looks great! So much better than it was! I love watching Vice Grip Lodge equally as the Vice Grip Garage channel. ❤
Haven't seen the brush hog in ages and she fired right up no hesitate like a good old 70s chevelle
this brings back so many memories of my father and I. what I wouldn't give to be there age again.
Derek & Jessica- your kids are living their best lives! It warms my heart to see all the opportunities they have driving vehicles and all sorts of equipment. Well done !
What an awesome family, everybody pitches in and gets a lot of work done. It looks so much better now.
Smart man, saving your money on the thumb thingy :-)
The ramp truck deserves new rings and bearings since it works for you quite a bit
More brush hog stuff would be cool. You got some good boys chipping in on the work.
It will all pay off big time.
Id love to see the Buick back in the garage. Its one of my favorite builds. Ive watched all the episodes several times.
Your boys are truly amazing young men and that is a testament to two amazing parents. You and Jessica are doing an amazing job, and should be very proud of yourself. To be honest, you both are an outstanding roll models for young parents. Keep up the great work.❤❤❤
The boys really pulled thru on this one.. good to see they all work hard together as a team.. great job fellas
Good bunch of boys hard workers good job dad and mom
I got to say you have a wonderful family love to see the true roots of a family that works together ❤️
Great to see the whole family mucking in and you definitely made that corner usable again. As soon as you lit the fire the fire gods summoned the fire winds.
It's incredible how you manage your time Derek. Kudos to you and your family!
It’s nice to have some strapping young boys to help around the farm.
You’re a good Dad! Expressed
Great to see the little guys helping out dad. They’re doing great on the tractor.
So good! So American! Just fantastic to see you working with your Boys on the property. I did with my Dad and my kids now grown did with me. I think I remember those times working with Dad (I'm 66 now) more than I do vacations and such. Keep on keeping on!
A feller loves this channel
Now that’s a fire! Love catching up with the Lodge👍
You gotta get that Lasabra fixed up!!😊
These videos just make me smile Derek, thanks for the upload. The lads are getting big !!
🇨🇦nice to see you doing well and being so positive it's an enjoyment to watch
Hi Derek and family 👪 nice video 📹 and workmanship!!!! Glad u cleaned up the yard I noticed on VICEGRIPGARARGE GARAGE
Thank you for the great stories about your family and all
The boys are growing like weeds themselves. Glad to see you guys are doing things right and keeping them engaged in family things.
It's not a fire unless you can see it from outer space. You are on the right track!!
Just the kinda wholesome content a guy needed while taking a lunch break! Just got done doing some trail/property clearing at a buddies house on Saturday and gotta say it's definitely one of my favorite activities for clearing the mind and staying in shape. 🤙
U don't wanna be down wind of that smoke if there's any "poison Ivy" in that pile a burnin otherwise you will be one sick puppy!
YOU AND FAMILY ARE SPECIAL SAFETY FIRST AMEN
Congrats Vice Grip and family on getting the old trees and brushes moved to the burn pile. great job Kids..
Coming from a Firefighter, it's huge that you're planning ahead and establishing a fire ring around your burn pile, instead of waiting for an oh sh*t moment, like a few others do. Your videos are always great, whether you're wrenching, or not. Thanks.
Looks like a feller needs to do a dump truck revival.
Amen
At 20:21 poison ivy on the tree that Bradley is moving! Hope he washed his arms good!
I really like seeing the farm family attitude, it's hard to that out of your blood. I can relate to this as well as the cars and everything mechanical you and your family do! Great job!! Thanks
Good hard working kiddos
Love your content and your great personality. Look forward to meeting you one day..
6:25 That's the car/video that turned me onto your channel back in the day. Still my favorite VGG car, probably... i dont know.
Awesome
Nothing like good work! My wife and I just got done doing this on our property. Looks so good when its done!
If you run a few ropes along your bed before you load up, makes unloading easy
I like seeing the family out doing chores!
Watch for poison ivy/oak and sumac
I just found this channel like yesterday. The vice grip garage I’ve been watching for years. But I like this one even more then the other one . This channel has made it to my favorite 3 channels. Just a few acres - the Appalachian channel and now this one
Nice work folks. Teaching the kids right!!!
The foot thing was never explained that I heard about. Was it what cleet was talking about getting burned
Yes. The crown Vic headers dumped heat onto the floor pan of the car, and burned the drivers who wore thinner shoes. 😬
Poison Ivy?
Your beautiful children, will ALWAYS remember working with you! The hard work, I did with my father, made me a better man!
Colorado
Great working with the family like that. Diesel a little slower than gasoline but safer. Remember what Johnny Cash used to sing about, "That Burnin' Rang o' Far'".
i sense poison ivy coming.
A Guy has to be careful I see a lot of POISON IVY and POISON OAK
Watching your boys confidentiality driving all that equipment makes me realize that a may failing on my boys a bit. Now that mine is tall enough to operate a pickup, I took him out to so property to try it out and he was just too nervous....
It's hard living in the suburbs sometimes 😅
Make sure to check for ticks. Last time I did some work clearing some brush I stumbled into a nest. Took me and my wife 20 minutes to get all those buggers off
We expect to see an update with how much you and the boys are covered in poison ivy
No one got any
Good work! Derek, you need a Grapple for the Deere. Will make picking up all that brush effortless! Love to see those young men workin! It's so good for them!
Just a piece of advice from a land owner fan from Washington State. Find a out of the way spot on your property, and dig a pit 5 ft or so deep, 5/6 wide and about 10 ft long and use this to burn your slash. All of the ash is contained in the pit and everything burns so much hotter and cannot spread. if you so desire, one end of the pit can be sloped as to where you can drive your JD down into it and clean out the ash. Great on the gardens. I dug mine with my JD 4100 4X4 and have used it to clean out the hole many times. Believe me, worth every bit of effort and so much safer. Been a fan of your show for a long time. Great family!!
Looks good!
Love it when the whole family jumps in and gets it done!
Great family effort. Great family!
Every time I burn a pile and it’s a hey calm day. Then ad soon as light it up. Boom the wind picks up. Never fails
Nice pile. My dad blew himself into the crick when throwing gas on a lit pile. Of course we were having quite a few cold snacks while doing property maintenance. After we made sure he was ok. We had a few laughs an Alot more cold snacks. Be safe guys.
You got a massive mound of Pot ash for the garden now Derek @Vice Grip Lodge
I think you need to start some kind of summer camps. O, you can take some of these kids and show them what work and life's really about . You're one heck of a man and father And husband
You have 3 fine young men helping you with the cleanup. It's easy to see they have been raised right! Nothing wrong with them running the equipment either!
Old long and strong square body crew cab still doin work…love them units
Man, you raised those boys right!!!
You're one hell of a good Dad!
Hey Betty White Shirt seeing, love family work day supportive Bleep Boop
While a guy enjoys a good fire seeing you and the boys working together you gotta smile at that and tell Jess to order some 5 x super sasquatch proud poppa t shirts
You gave me an idea…. steel toed crocs! Well maybe not, fire is weird it actually makes it’s own wind when it’s big enough. I always liked clearing overgrown brush from property, looks so good when you’re finished makes you feel good and you can see what you’ve accomplished.
Good work, gents...... and lady!❤. Regards, Stephen.
