I am going through the comments and find out almost everyone is suffering or already suffered from the fractured pain. I'm also suffering with my Tibial fracture and it's my 4th day. I am counting days. I am with cast on my leg including knee and foot. I wish speedy recovery to all of you including myself.
Seeing this way later I have a question, so can you tell me what happened as the weeks went on like did you transistion too a walking boot or not and how long did it take to fully heal? Plus my last question is after it healed did you get right back in normal activities?

I had bone lengthening procedure on a mal union of a fractured femur. Success. If you have a fracture have total confidence your bone will heal. It can't be stopped.

Best explanation I've had. Even from my orthopedic doctor. I fell down the stairs and fractured my left upper fibula and my right ankle has a severe sprain. Needless to say its been a challenge.
Ankle fracture ( lateral malleolus ) - cast for 4-6 weeks depending on followup xray scans and then gradual weight bearing ( total it will take 3 months of healing )
This explains why after 6-8 weeks post fracture healing, on resuming activity some people again refracture in the same spot, because the fracture healed is not solid enough.

I am like 4-5 months out from breaking the fifth metacarpal bone at the neck, pretty much i broke the knuckle off the bone and i remember at the 2 week mark when i went in to have my cast removed to start doing the finger buddy system, the whole palm of my hand was dark blue, it was crazy looking, i had broken my hand before but the second time was much worse. I have been struggling the pain even months after, my hand gets achy and sometimes i can feel the bone shifting around which is a creepy feeling, moral of the story is do not be like me, seek help for your anger problems before your body teaches you instead, i regret both times and it all happened so quick but the pain helps me never to forget, my hand is deformed and it will likely be for a long time, i pray i never break another bone.
Broke my humerus in a motorcycle accident at 70 kmh (i wore helmet, shoes & jacket). Currently in 3rd week now. I hope Allah heal us and make us all in ease, aamiin.
@@TheEnlightenedPath-m ah it has been 4½ months, Alhamdulillah now i can move my fingers & palm again, but still can't make fist pose & thumbs up pose yet. And i can already use computer mouse, typing, holding a bottle, wear pant, shirt, simple tasks, etc. But can't write, lift the arm to the mouth for eat (currently i eat with left arm), straighten the arm. for now the most comfortable position is bending my arm 90 degree like "L" pose.

@@Ath-et9xm Three weeks after the surgery now. It's getting better, I guess. No major pain but a little swelling on the foot when I leave it unelevated. I have my next appointment with the doctor in the sixth week after the surgery to check if the bones heal and to know if I can start walking again. Yes, it's surely depressing. It affects everyday life a lot but what can I do now is to stay calm and rest a lot. Wishing you get better soon!
I watch this video because my sons arm has been dislocated. Now he's in healing process. I was afraid and panic when I saw my Sons hand deform. Hopefully he will recover faster

Bro no way! I fractured my proximal humerus, but due to bad health care I guess they never treated me with a surgery just a cast, leading to a protrusion along my shoulder capsule, it’s nuts how bones heal without the right support

it depends on the type of fracture for example there are types such as...comminuted,greenstick etc..out of which comminuted is kinda scary if the fracture is not huge ...it will take max one month...or it its huge then maximum 2-2.5 months

The OB who operated on me broke the bone of my new born during CSection and I was so worried. I have a hope now that the bone will be intact after a months.
All of the best, I had surgery and have a cast on still, hoping for a boot this week. It’s a long process, try get physical therapy when it’s time, will go a long way, I hope to start mine this or next week, depending on how well mine looks when they x-ray it this week. Cast is very uncomfortable!

I have a tibial spiral fracture. I have been in a full cast for 8 weeks and a walking boot for 3. I have recently noticed a hard bump behind my calf, close to the site of the fracture. Is this callus forming?
Me too. 2 weeks in. So worried about surgery. I know Tuesday if the doctor will put a rod inside my leg.. giving me so much anxiety. My fibula above the ankle split like in 3 places. Someone ran into me at work on a forklift.. ouch.
Sounds like you're in a similar situation as me. 😂. I broke the 2nd 3rd and 4th metatarsals behind the toe knuckle as well as shattered and dislocated my cuboid bone. The Dr said I'd be no weight bearing for at least 8 to 12 weeks. But for me, I needed surgery that I didn't get for two weeks after the accident, so my recovery clock started over. All from a low-speed. motorcycle accident. Good luck.

As you said the stiffer immobilisation the less amount of callous, does this suggest that more movement is needed to heal bone?
