@@HornieCow Well this is an untested repair but as I have so many RPM arms that the hinge pins has ripped through when damaged, I thought of a way to put them back into service. I actually think this will stop any damage to the arm and can be installed from new. I develop stronger hinge pins already but they still bend with a bad enough crash. I think this repair method with actually make the setup a more durable one. When I have fitted a set on and sent the truck to the moon and bashed it hard I’ll do a damage report and see if it is actually a new way to make RPM arms go through hell. RPM arms are solid and the only weak point I’ve found is the hinge pin holes which open up over time and hard bashing. Thanks for your comments and interest.
What a great little hack ! Nice one for sharing that
Thanks Craig, hope it saves a few quid for hard Bashers like yourself.
Nice looks like a good idea ill try that if my rpm arms ever start doing that.....
@@JmanRc.Justin they will if you bash hard 😉
might be a good idea to oil the pin a tiny bit as well, will probably stop the metal on metal wear
that’s a very good point to make, nice one brother.
Whats the idea here? spreading the load out ? i can't seem to understand what the difference should be from a pin to a tube?
@@HornieCow You still use the pin. This repairs damaged arms or reinforces new arms to stop the pin from ripping through the arm.
@@JPBashed Ok so this is a repair of damaged arms. I thought you found a way for them not to break. :)
