I have a Ph.D. in nuclear physics and can confirm that 7 is, indeed, more than 2.
In fact, my thesis was titled: "Seven is more than two: an electromagnetic perspective"
Interesting hypothesis. Did you approach the problem by modeling 7 and 2 as a spherical wave functions in the same Hilbert space and then solving for the Hamiltonian of each and determining the total energy? Seems like the easiest way to find that out.
I have passed Differential Calculus, and I can tell you that by differentiating 7 and 2 respectively, the answer is zero, so 7 = 2 QED
Pls teach me this mysterious art.
I have a PhD from The couch potato University and by counting the numbers on my fingers I have confirmed that 7 is, indeed, more than 2. My thesis was named, "Why memorise Mathematical tables when you can use a calculator."
Michael Jay - Value Investing I am a rising 8th grader and everything they taught me in Pre-Algebra indicates that positive 7 is greater than positive 2

What did you learn today ?
“7 is more than 2”
Cardiff has a British airways maintenance hanger and quite often planes land or take off from there with no passengers. My friend used to work there and we once got a free flight to Heathrow on a 747 with just the flight crew on it. Very large empty plane, very eerie. Cheaper and quicker than a bus or train though.
OMG! 7 is more than 2!!!!
IM SO SUPRISED!!!!
*facepalm*
Not really, new study say 7 maybe lower than 2. 0.7 I mean
Christopher Walton whoosh

Wow did you learn that in differential calculus?
Question:If Heathrow is above capacity and they are having these problems of flight spots selling for tens of millions, why don’t they expand the airport/ build another one?
To answer to your question three years too late, there are three large commercial airports (Heathrow, Stansted, and Gatwick) serving London, plus one smaller one (Luton). Every one of the big three wants to build one or more extra runways, but the local communities very much do not want that due to noise concerns (there are already serious restrictions on flight times and takeoff/landing patterns because of this). And as each is in a different political constituency, each has a politician demanding that the runway be built at a different airport. Then there was a suggestion about building a new airport where I live in Kent, except the location chosen was a major wetland bird habitat (so, high risk of birdstrike + serious ecological damage) and would have been seriously unappealing to anyone flying into London due to being ridiculously far away (like, over an hour and a half by train) and being basically in the very southeast corner of the UK, meaning that even for people not travelling to London the journey would have been significantly longer than going to one of the existing airports. So basically, it's fucked and nobody can agree how to fix it (even though everyone who flies wants Heathrow runway 3. Stansted sucks and Gatwick is too far away.)
Jay Foreman has a good video on this
@@HermesTV2 Funny you should mention that because I have since seen that explanation video.
@@Ellie-rx3jt While yes Gatwick is about twice as far from central London as Heathrow, it actually takes about the same amount of time to get to by train, so the distance is really a non issue. I mean it's a pretty terrible idea to have the airport of a city whose prevailing winds are East-West (and therefore so are the runways) to the east or west of the city.
Gatwick is actually pretty perfectly located for a London airport, and really the obvious choice is to expand that and potentially close LHR. LGW has no restrictions on flight times, it runs 24/7, has plenty of space to expand in future if needed, and has only a few small villages in the flight paths of its runway, whereas Heathrow's landing glide slope passes over a large portion of West London.
@@zaphod4245 other than the fact that to get to Gatwick (car wise) you have to take the most annoying, crowded, inefficient, arrogant, disruptive motorway in English history. it is literally worth paying 100-200 pounds more to fly to Heathrow to avoid the atrocity that is the M25.

I know, it's just odd he uploaded the same topic twice
BA still fly to Cardiff without passengers, but not as frequently as it used to be. On holiday last week, I saw two BA's fly low in one day. The first was a 777 for maintenance from Heathrow and the second was a 787 that got diverted there for some reason. The diversion flight was BA132 from Jeddah which was supposed to land at Heathrow
Just commenting to say that I find all these videos amazing for both being interesting but also really, genuinely, funny. It's like I've found this other side of you that I didn't know existed when watching Wendover Productions.

You could literally buy a thousand car with that.
While 7 is indeed more than 2, it isn't as much more than 2 as you think. Some of the extra runways at O'Hare are alternate runways at different angles to make taking off and landing easier in strong winds in all different directions, something that's more of a problem in the Windy City than in London. They never have all 7 runways operating at once.
There's was a similar thing in San Francisco bay area back in the early 1990s. United Airlines operates flights into SFO, but then flies the empty planes across the bay to the Oakland Airport for mechanical service. You can see OAK from SFO on a clear day! However, they do let passengers on the plane, and I know folks who would take that flight to rack up airline bonus miles.
Because of my obsession to flying I keep learning these non-important facts which add nothing to my life yet I love it. Go figure. Without the internet i would probably collect plane stamps.
I played airlines manager and I had to pay $100,000,000 to operate a flight to Heathrow..
Wow, ripped off

Super late but the same date this video was posted O’Hare made huge airport layout changes, closing a runway, renaming taxi ways, either way the guy missed 10C and 10R and highlights two NW to SE runways that are used as taxiways

British Airways (Formally British Mediterranean Airways) has a large maintenance crew at Cardiff its in Cardiff's biggest aircraft hanger even though they don't have any commercial flights that leave or arrive in Cardiff so they use planes to flight this "ghost route" that require maintenance at Cardiff.

Wait? Could they not just lease the spot to another company while not using it? Instead of selling or operation empty flights?
Apparently not. Probably the rules forbid that. I'm sure they would have thought of that, if it was an option.
Morten Skyggebjerg Olesen the company that buys the slot has to be the one to use it
This is to stop fraud and slot stealing
Also, they apparently did it because setting up an actual flight at such a short notice was more complicated and expensive than just running empty for a while.
Another company would have encountered the same problems, and the contract would've lasted only for a limited time, so it wasn't very attractive to begin with.
Qantas does that. Qantas owns 4 slot pairs at LHR. They use 2 and lease the other 2 to BA.
@Amy Tomoe - Qantas has a code sharing agreement with BA which enables them to do this. You can't just 'lease' slot pairs to other airlines.
Now I wish I had done differential calculus. I didn't know 7 was more than 2.

Differential calculus is actually not too bad! Well if you have a base understand of calc, but LaPlace Transformations are fairly simple with the shortcuts. Never heard of "Advanced Diff Eq" only Diff Eq (which I've taken) so I assume that's what he is referring to. It was actually one of my favorite classes all things considered, but I have to confess I did have a lovely teacher and a great passion for math, so maybe I'm one of few.

Just FYI, at :30, you are right about O'hare currently having 7 runways, but your graphic is incorrect. Current runways are 4-22L/R, 10-28L/C/R, and 9-27L/R. The NW/SE runways (14-32L/R) have been closed. They are currently in the process of building an 8th runway, 9-27C.

The slot is owned by british airways, the reason for this slot is because cardiff airport is home to its wide body maintenance facilty (BAMC). The flights are not done for no reason. They are used to transport the aircraft to cardiff for scheduled maintenance.

How are these flights going "nowhere"? Last time I checked, Cardiff and Manchester were real places. And even if they were going to completely desolate wastelands it would make no sense to fly to, that's still somewhere. Nothing that exists can be "nowhere".
