The whip is supposed to be a scythe. like the grim reaper if it was born from the entity's imagination of the reaper.Yeah, I know that the devs said he's supposed to be DBD's boogey man, but you can't deny how much the dredge resembles the reaper. Been loving your content lately, binged a few videos while being sick with a Super Flu. So thank you mate xx
Dredge is the most terrifying killers, sure some might get the jump on you but this monstrous being that can teleport to so many places on the map is just a cut above and don't even get me started on how nightfall just makes my heart race a bit with the wails of the damned paired with less visual information. Other then the fact his head looks like a "head"
The dredge is the "Anti--dwight". Also despite his teleport being slow (which can be sped up with add ons) hes effectively a better nurse with longer range. The only advantage the nurse has is not having a required target to teleport. The dredge can go clear across the field and get an easy hook if a survivor happens to be unlucky enough to be in the locker they teleport too.
As a killer main with over 3.8k hours in the game tunneling/camping is still the best way to ensure a 4k outcome every match I 4ked my first match with dredge using only one of his unique perks. The process of elimination is still the most effective means to an end as killer by far.
I love the survivor argument of wow you tunneled me youre garbage. But that'd be like a killer saying "wow you guys worked on that one gen to get it done, instead of just leaving it and finding a new one to work on."
I try to cycle hooks between two players to dodge meta-perks. So when camping how are you defending gens or totems. I know when I play survivor and the killer is camping I just b-line gen to gen.
I'm a survivor main, but when I play killer, it often feels like tunneling is the only way to win against sweaty SWFs. If you play killer, you'll understand that it's more stressful and that the amount of toxicity you encounter is exponentially greater especially if you lose. So use NOED and camp/tunnel away.
Nearing 1000 hours of killer main and I can gladly tell you that you will rarely run into toxicity. I use NoED on a few of my killers and it's easily less that 1 in 50 matches that anyone is even salty.
@@GoldKitsuneBrony I'd have to disagree. I hardly play killer, but I have gotten relatively high of amount of toxic comments from games I've lost with people DMing me.
The toxicity mainly revolves around the region you play on I’m on the Australian/New Zealand servers and I don’t get that much toxicity I’ve gotten like 5 toxic messages in this past year or two From what I’ve seen it’s mainly the American servers and some others that gets a lot of toxicity

Even if a player isn't running dead hard / genrushing / tunneling / camping, you don't have any way to know how someone is going to play before it's too late. It's like players expect others to know if they're gonna try-hard or not.
I cant wait until the perk reworks. At least for survivors I know for sure, use the same small group of perks when you get up to higher skill levels. And hopefully those perks are hit with a decent enough rework that survivors actually start using other perks. There is a point at where a lot of the time, its the perks doing the work, not the player. And I mean for both sides on that one. But you still see more diversity between killers even if its two different legions, or demos, or what not.
It works for killers just the same though. Every single match corrupt, bbq and POP… its for both sides.. but im pretty sure that if they nerf the perks from either sides its going to be drama.. i dont mind them nerfing it.. but its not like the perks we have now are close to being equal. So that will backfire
i hope behavior will start doing balance patches more often to shift meta's ever so often. its what mobas do and it works for them to keep the game from getting stale
This happened to me as well. Bruh we can’t even learn the new killer without this BS and yes you can get angry but when killer players have to deal with some kind of salt almost every game it gets irritating having to deal with this. I’ve really grown to DESPISE the survivor community.
its the mmr system being horrible as well, your drop a whole 200mmr for killers you havent touched(in a while), except thats for your actual mmr, when the softcap(1700 top, 900 bottom) is the only thing that matters. the moment your mmr reaches 1900 you will always play against the exact same people(which, lets face it, is mostly meta squads averaging with 1-2 toxic players), doesnt matter if you have not touched this killer or not
I’ve legit grown to hate the survivor community as well. 5 billion second chance perks/items along with being called trash for playing for hooks or playing for kills means you’re damned either way.
I think “Tunnelling” is too broad of a statement tbh, because you can hyper tunnel someone out without getting any other hooks on survivors and still have 4 gens left or you could tunnel someone for the final 2 hook stages after all gens are completed and both are regarded as just as bad by most of the dbd community. I think a better term for the 2nd example would just be pressuring. If you hyper tunnel someone out as fast as possible, leave other survivors just to go back to that person and have no good reason to do so (for example, gens being completed too fast to handle or having a swf that will clearly throw just to keep someone alive) you can take advantage of those moments. Someone who does this a lot is Otz (great dbd RUclipsr who most of you will know) but he is always regarded as a top tier killer main, the difference is he doesn’t “tunnel” just because he can or wants to. He does it when he needs to create pressure to keep the game going and that is what makes games tense. I think spook is similar in that regard for the most part.
nah Spooks clearly does it out of a mix of reasons…lack of confidence in his skills as a killer, and because it’s the easy way out/he knows it will most likely piss people off and he gets content out of it. it’s less of a legit “strategy” like he claims. he really thinks most of his viewers are that dumb lol
I mainly think that tunnelling is just part of the game mechanics tbh, the game doesn’t have a way of fully punishing you for doing so and even encourages you to at times, personally it just gets boring doing it every game but when you need to you can go back to it and most likely annoyed the whole lobby 😂. And yeah spook gets tons of content from it too which is a plus cos it’s usually funny but also kinda sad that they go so far out of their way just to get clowned on.
I personally feel somewhat sad regarding Spook having (?) to explain himself to people as to why he tunneled. I feel that there should be no need for that just as some survivors use clickyclickying, tbagging, making noise, spinning nonsensically to attract the killers attention to drive him away from gen repairing: its a strategy whether it bears results or not. Is it boring getting camped? Yes. Is it stressful getting tunneled? Yes. but so is getting 3 gens done on 1 single chase and most survivor players simply try to argument it as: "get good"
@@luisjon433 yup "get good pressure gens better" 🤣 like wtf are you talking about dumba I can only be in one place at any given time. Honestly the only way I see to fix it is increase time to do gens or DRASTICALLY reduce the amount of pallets available. Because there's still an absurd amount of pallets even after they reduced it. And for whatever God forsaken reason they always feel compelled to create insanely strong main buildings prime example this new fing map the main building has like 3 strong ass windows.
I had a similar experience my first Dredge game. Not just Dredge but usually when it's a new killer I'm trying out. It's annoying you have to defend yourself for killing, while playing a killer.
its so annoying and boring to get tunneled , tbh getting tunneled shows how the killer don't have control over the match .. tunnel is just a way to get 1k at least from the match and expecting other survivors to come so u can switch targets..
I love the dredge his design is scary lore is good and his skins are awesome I really want a skin for him that has all the killers masks on his body like he was fused of all the killers
I don’t like tunnelling. Even as killer. But I understand the strategy behind it. A lot of ppl think killers can’t press the game bc they have to be nice. As if survivors have to always win or else you’re a terrible player. It sucks that playing in anyway that’s strategic and aims for a win as killer automatically makes you a bad person.
I put DBD away awhile ago couple years ago and just came back to it. Having fun with it but I’m pretty much garbage right now. But I’m having fun even while I suck. I’m survivor main. That being said I know some of my teammates get salty with me because I make mistakes but I could care less. On to the next game.
I religiously watch your videos and SpookyLoopz. You both play very different BUT I really love how you play. I tend to switch between survivor and killer and when ever I play killer - I always tell myself that I am not responsible for other players fun. Plus it really helps when I deal with toxic survivors!
Do these people realise looping was never a part of the game? The developers (small indie group btw) never planned for it. Survivors just learned how and that it worked really well. That's how this shit works! Is it effective? Yes? Do it. No? Don't do it or meme. Jesus. I won! = skill. They won! = cheating/exploit/reported.
Well survivors are 4 players and have a smaller objetive (5 gens) when the killer is just 1 player but has a bigger objetive (12 hooks, or 8 in a good situation). Meaning a survivor has to do in promedy 1.25 gens to win the match. Also survivors objetive its extremely easy, literally hold one button until the gen its done. In the other hand, getting a single hook takes a lot more time and skill than doing a gen. Even in chase, getting someone down its a loooot harder than lasting in chase, i mean most of survis only camp pallets, go to the next one 2cm away and repeat 1000 times. And even having a lot easier gameplay 100% of survis do everything they can to win as fast and easy as posible; but then complain when the killer does the same.
Well in my opinion doing gens is yes easier than hooking somebody. But downing a survivor is easier than lasting a chase. I, however, am a green rank survivor and a white rank killer so its not like I know much. But, just saying, a lot of stuff is subjective. On lower ranks survivors go down like flies (and yes, we, lower noobs, do exist). But yea, noone should be entitled and/or toxic. Not having fun? Stop playing. No matter survivor or killer it is.
had two survivors dc cause one had ds and would instantly self care and the other i guess didnt know you could teleport back to the remanent and got downed
Survivor teams were crazy good since the update dropped. There's me testing out the Dredge with 3 yellow perks and I've got survivors who already know the new map inside out and gen rushing to the moon. 😴
Survivors can finish half their objective before the killer can get a single hook. Anyone who says find survivors faster or down them quicker should probably get a reality check. Till gen speed is addressed, or something new added to the gameplay, I say slug and tunnel the fuck away.
Yeah, my biggest pain was when i play Huntress on Ormond with Lethal Pursuer, it didnt matter that i knew where they were, by the time i walked there from my spawn they did a gen, like wtf
Well that depends on the rank. If you speaking purple/red ranks then yes, you are 100% correct. But in my white/green ranks we get downed before we're even 1 min deep in the game. Yes, noone should be entitled ofc. But ppl who make the argument you're making forget that we (noobs) exist so you can't generalize the whole community (so I agree with the "don't be toxic and entitled" side you're on but I disagree with your argument) c:

I cant handle playing killer for very long, even though I've been playing this game for years, the stress and dissatisfaction is too great. A lot of the times it feels futile, gens pop too fast and before I know it the gates are open, or I think I'm doing really good but all the survivors escape anyways. I don't know how you can manage that Jukes.

@Ghostface( I revived the slasher genre) bruh exactly!! I would also main killer if I know how to play very well and will probably quit playing survivor, working alone is actually better than working with someone
1:25 that's exactly what I'm like on DBD and Doom Eternal and other games I play online. No point being hostile when they beat you fairly And funny enough. I've got loads of friends requests and played games with them. And those who do, are either Slayer mains who haven't felt the touch of grass or new and clueless people playing as demons. Of course, doesn't change the fact that being salty towards others is stupid, but just pointing out why a game like DOOM Eternal has absolutely atrocious and seriously irritating multiplayer
@@gojirabh9383 really... I've killed really good slayers as demons and I've been killed by really good demon players. I'd say it's balance. You just have to get good. Slayer mains just know how to quick switch which isn't hard and what makes them good and the game better to be honest
I get how dredges anti-loop works, basically where ever you face the second you put the shadow teleport(excuse me for not knowing the correct term/name), it saves the direction you were originally facing. For example, say your at shack outside and you put your shadow down and you were facing towards the pallet entrance. You then loop around and now inside the shack facing the pallet. The second you teleport the system saves the last position you set the shadow and puts you back facing the exact way you set it to face originally. If I'm wrong let me know I'm just trying to analyze the killers abilities.
Well unless you use the brown add-on which maikes it be where youyr facing when your teleport instead. In simple terms, the direction your facing when you place it is the direction youll be facing when you use it
*My two cents, mind that, I play both sides evenly, I dont consider myself a main to either side...* The issue with tunneling is it honestly punishes both sides, the survivors die, pairing them with less experienced players, and the killer is paired against better survivors, who crank out gens faster... thus leading to more tunneling. The issue with tunneling, at least in my opinion, is that survivors are punished too much, barely any BP, and it kills your MMR so matches becomes more unfun because of teammates. It's more than annoying, it's frustrating, and you see more and more complaints about tunneling becoming more common, leading to more frustration from survivors. All of this leading to people being upset, and understandably so. This isnt an issue that is anyone's fault. *People can play how they want, dont get me wrong* (I play both sides, and although I dont intentional go out of my way to tunnel, I cant say that I dont do it entirely, accidents do happen). This is an issue that sources from BHVR's creation, with MMR only being the catalyst to either side's frustration thus cultivating to a somewhat endless loop; as previously mentioned, tunneling leads to the killer MMR rising, leading to them getting harder lobbies with faster gens and longer chases, leading to more tunneling, leading to higher MMR, sometimes leading to more complaints, so on and so forth; tunneling leads to survivors MMR lowering, leading to less experienced teammates, leading to slower gens and overall more frustration, leading to more complaints, so on and so forth... There is a reason why both sides complain a lot, and a lot of people seem to be disliking the past few months with MMR, it only highlights the issues with the game, since everything hinges on this kind of stuff. Tunneling, being the deeply rooted issue it is, also has two sides to look at: ~You cant punish tunneling, those who tunnel do not care about being punished for it, I mean, look at how little DS has an effect on tunneling. Punishing tunneling only hurts those who go out of their way to do it, but may accidently tunnel a person without realizing, creating negative feedback over a simple mistake. ~You have to create an incentive to not tunnel, however look at a perk such as BBQ, people only really care about the stacks then just tunnel from there, or others who just have complete disregard for the stacks but still get the full benefits. There is nothing that easily provides an incentive to not tunnel, and furthermore, if someone cared enough, they would still tunnel regardless of the incentive of not doing so. Tunneling, while not toxic (toxicity isnt an action, toxicity is a mindset), can be used by toxic people maliciously... playing to win is perfectly fine, but again, it can be frustrating for the other side, that's not really the awful side of things. Some people use tunneling maliciously, to attack streamers and content creators. Im sure everyone remembers all the stuff involving Claudette Mask'ed Bubbas did, targeting POC streamers and content creators... it was horrible. So there are definitely people that are going to be negatively looking at tunneling when people threw such harassment and hate towards them using the strategy. Again, I must restate. *Toxicity isnt an action, toxicity is a mindset. Tunneling isnt toxic.* But it sure as hell can be used by toxic people. *Again, after stating all of this, I must state that I dont care how people play, if you want to tunnel, go right ahead, if you dont want to, that's also fine, but Im not going to sit and act like tunneling doesnt have issues surrounding it. Nothing is flawless, nothing is above criticism, so I will speak my mind.*
Do you even see how fast all the gens go in the games? The game is basically forcing killers to tunnel sometimes. Playing killer is sweaty each round cause the game is the way it is.
._. Mate sometimes you have to tunnel as killer, like no joke if you don’t go after a person on the hook all the time, then your chances of success will be lower, since more survivors = faster gens, faster healing, etc.
his accent change took me so off guard. I'm using this as background noise whilst I do stuff and I was so confused on what happened LMAO like that was scarily accurate I know someone who sounds just like that
I feel like you can play however you want because you bought the game. People come up with terms like tunneling to make it sound like you aren't playing right. You paid for it you can you play however you want
His power is still good though because it forces them to leave annoying loops, so even when they do just W key away it still ends mosts chases faster than if you were to mindgame every loop
as a killer, my rule is if the team was toxic and i snowball them i let whoever was nice live. they can drop pallets to stun, flash light etc and then leave peacefully
In a weird way, videos like this make me want to play as killer. I mainly play as survivor but it can kinda get stail that way. Even with the occasional salty survivor, it still looks pretty fun tbh
To all entitled survivor mains... stop complaining you didnt have fun cuz you got tunneled, camped, sluged or moried. The world doesnt revolve around your survivor rule book
How is camping fun for the killer? I literally main one of the worst killers, I don’t camp or tunnel, and still have some fun and get kills. It’s a game, if you get stressed and/or need to specifically make the game unfun for someone else, don’t play killer
I actually think dredge is a fun killer and he's strong too if he's in the right hands he applies lots of pressure with his teleporting and good anti loop power
It’s weird how you’re so against salt, yet bring it to light in so many of your videos? Why don’t you just ignore it lol instead of literally trying to build a career around it.
The dredge gives me absolutely massive headache cause of his power and I'm on console so I can't see when his power is active it's to dark I should just play with my eye close then
When me and my friend played against him, my friend was hiding in a locker and he said "wait why is there pink fog coming from the OH SHI-" and them he was hooked
I don't play DBD, but if gen-rushing is a Meta tactic for survivors, then I don't think it's surprising if killers feel more compelled to "tunnel" or eliminate one survivor as early as possible. Four survivors obviously repair generators much faster than three. Perhaps they could rework generators to make their repair times longer for higher ranked or maybe introduce new QTE's for repairs like clockwise + counter-clockwise or varying arc lengths for good and great skill checks.
This made up rules that killers should not tunnel camp slug is so outrageous imo you play how ever you want as long as you don’t hurt anyone survivor are allowed to bring the good perks use tool boxes and flash light body block basically do everything they can to win the match but killers are forbidden to use anything and have to obey the made up rules unbelievable
honestly tunneling is understandable if the game feels survivor sided and by that i mean the gens are popping fast, chases aren't going well for the killer etc... then i understand. What I don't understand is immediately tunneling someone to death from their first hook at the start of the game, ignoring every other person and the gens leading to 3 popping at the same time. Yeah you get a kill but 2 gens isn't exactly hard to do for 3 survs who probably have no hooks between them. I've been encountering more and more killers who just tunnel and camp from the very start of the game, usually before the first gen has even popped and it seems so stupid to me lmao.
As someone who primarily plays survivor, I get mad when I get tunneled out. I even DCed, but that's because the no-mither challenge was killing me, but never angry enough to send a DM. The killer is trying to win just as much as I am.
For context: I play DBD and Demogorgon as an opportunist. If i see someone, i chase them. If i see someone injured, i drop the chase and go for them. Everyone who doesn’t play by survivor rules gets the “You’re trash, tunneller” when i looked for 5 minutes for anybody else to chase.
I can’t believe those survivors tunneled the gen. Just absolutely horrible gameplay by them. They should’ve ran around and repaired all the gens instead of just focusing on certain ones to get them done. Don’t they know that tunneling is wrong?
Lol I literally say that to survivors some of the time in end game chat. Surv - Why you camping and tunneling? Me - Maybe do gens slower and I wouldn't
I don't know if I would consider what you did with the Bill the 2nd match " tunneling " he stayed near the hook each time he got unhooked and then stood there and shook his head when he was on death hook instead of running to a safe area away from the hook and killer.
I had a match where I only got 2 hooks and had 2 gens left. So I started tunnelling and camping to try and get some momentum to my side. I was told I should get better or just take the "L".
I main the dredge now, and I have had more salt than normal. They don’t se to like the remnant loop drop. Lol. I get a ton of 4k’s with them, it man the salt has been ridiculous. Kind of sad to see them cry like this also. Stay epic jukes.
I'm surprised you didn't break the locks on the locker, maybe its just my ocd but i break those when I can't find a survivor or if i know where they are but am in no hurry to get to them (usually because teleport is ready)

The whip is supposed to be a scythe. like the grim reaper if it was born from the entity's imagination of the reaper.Yeah, I know that the devs said he's supposed to be DBD's boogey man, but you can't deny how much the dredge resembles the reaper. From his weapon being scythe like, the head of the dredge looking like an open hood, the darkness covering it like a cloak, and the way it takes you into itself during it's mori(which the reaper has been known to do).

"that can teleport to so many places on the map" AND they added more lockers!
Nothing wrong with doing that the game is flawed at its core design so
I try to cycle hooks between two players to dodge meta-perks.

It’s always so fun to discover what perks the killers have while still in the match :) I like that a lot about playing survivor
@@Woofanoofus yeah ... and we know survivors have the same perks every match
It works for killers just the same though. I agree with you. I mean in my games I just assume every surv has dead hard and 95% of the time they do. It's so tiresome.
i hope behavior will start doing balance patches more often to shift meta's ever so often. its what mobas do and it works for them to keep the game from getting stale
Don't be like that. You'll end up repeating the same toxicity you encounter to Survivors who haven't done anything to you.

@@FreddieMercurytheSharkWrestler exactly.
So basically it’s either from fear or strategy (depending on how when and why it’s done)?
nah Spooks clearly does it out of a mix of reasons…lack of confidence in his skills as a killer, and because it’s the easy way out/he knows it will most likely piss people off and he gets content out of it. it’s less of a legit “strategy” like he claims. he really thinks most of his viewers are that dumb lol

As if survivors have to always win or else you’re a terrible player. It sucks that playing in anyway that’s strategic and aims for a win as killer automatically makes you a bad person.

That first survivor lobs pallets like there is no tomorrow. Didn't complete a single loop on any of the pallets just instadropped all of them
Do these people realise looping was never a part of the game? The developers (small indie group btw) never planned for it. Survivors just learned how and that it worked really well. That's how this shit works! Is it effective? Yes? Do it. No? Don't do it or meme. Jesus. I won! = skill. They won! = cheating/exploit/reported.
Bean Burrito approved

In simple terms, the direction your facing when you place it is the direction youll be facing when you use it
Yeah that's how it works, there is a addon that makes in go based off of where you are looking when you teleport rather then when you place it
Thanks you guys, but honestly I might not need those add-ons when I play dredge. It's nice to have though, and good to know on how that power works. 👍

*My two cents, mind that, I play both sides evenly, I dont consider myself a main to either side...*
The issue with tunneling is it honestly punishes both sides, the survivors die, pairing them with less experienced players, and the killer is paired against better survivors, who crank out gens faster... thus leading to more tunneling.
Tunneling, being the deeply rooted issue it is, also has two sides to look at:
~You cant punish tunneling, those who tunnel do not care about being punished for it, I mean, look at how little DS has an effect on tunneling.

It's always crazy to me sometimes no matter how much I'm cordial with everyone I get shit talked to
Spooks where u get that totem statue in ur background I want one so badddd
For context: I play DBD and Demogorgon as an opportunist. If i see someone, i chase them. If i see someone injured, i drop the chase and go for them. Everyone who doesn’t play by survivor rules gets the “You’re trash, tunneller” when i looked for 5 minutes for anybody else to chase.
I don't know if it's the new haddie perk but I've played a good couple of hours now and gens have been FLYING.
I can’t believe those survivors tunneled the gen. Just absolutely horrible gameplay by them. They should’ve ran around and repaired all the gens instead of just focusing on certain ones to get them done. Don’t they know that tunneling is wrong?
Speaking a different accent I love it😂
Lol I literally say that to survivors some of the time in end game chat.
Surv - Why you camping and tunneling?
Me - Maybe do gens slower and I wouldn't
@@PossiblyRva Found the survivor that requires dead hard to do a loop XD
