- How much does $200 buy at Erewhon? I have the answer and I was SHOCKED at what I liked and didn't like from my first haul ever at Erewhon! I have avoided Erewhon like it's my job mostly because I just didn't want to buy into the overpriced-ness of it all. However, you know that TikTok algorithm gets me and I couldn't fight the good fight any longer. So, I ventured out to one of LA's most popular Erewhon grocery store to try some of their most popular items and some of the most delicious looking food from their popular hot part. And yes, the Hailey Bieber smoothie was part of the haul so make sure to watch until the end to get my thoughts on that and on all of the other grocery items that I thought were "worth" it if you have a lot of money, that is.

Ok, the tomato soup is good, but the Trader Joes Creamy Tomato Soup is just as good, and a fraction of the price.

Psyllium husk is basically the stuff in metamucil. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm a pharmacy tech I recognized that right away🤣🤣

@@ErinRobinsonthey use it in Keto recipes to substitute for flour, I used to bake with it, tbh if used properly, you can’t tell the different between a Keto dessert and a non-Keto dessert :)
The spirit of my mother would look down on me in shame if I wasted any of that food, especially after paying too much for it. The cheese dip/sauce, I’d blend in other more flavor dips or cheeses to thicken it. The purple juice, resisting the urge to wring out the paper towel from the $5 splash on the floor, I’d slow simmer it, add sugar and something like pectin or cornstarch to thicken it into a syrup, good on cakes, ice cream or even pancakes. Semi-homemade cooking.
Don't you worry. We literally ate everything but that doesnt mean we enjoyed it all , lol

They do know how to make you feel like you're indulging in luxury even before you taste the food!

I used to go to the Erewhon on Beverly Blvd all the time when I lived in LA. My favorite was their spaghetti squash with marinara from the hot bar. (Not sure if they have it anymore) It was also really fun for celeb sightings. I definitely did not do any grocery shopping there. As you mentioned, I treated it more like a restaurant.

Living through my West Coast Queen eating vegan specialty foods on a Saturday! After paying fancy restaurant prices for 2 plates of spaghetti and butter, meatballs, flatbread and the French fries ended up being the best part of the meal! ❤

@@ErinRobinson of course sweetie. Please remember that there is no timeline for anything in life and especially for grieving. You may be past the initial reason why it's still up but maybe now you've come to a different place in your heart where you are keeping it up for another reason. Maybe now when you pass by the tree it makes you smile and not necessarily tear up. If you do feel you are ready then I agree with what you're saying which is to take it one ornament at a time. And if you see after the first ornament removed you're not ready then let it stay up until you're ready to remove the second one. This may take weeks, months or even years. As long as using it now brings a smile to your face then it's okay if it stays. I'm sorry for such a long winded comment.❤❤

I thought I spent a lot on shopping at these super clean farmers shops to get the best products but this shop is crazy and it’s not that good.
You can eat super clean and organic going to a farmers market and more than likely be cheaper 🙈🙈🙈

Thank God there are no Erewon's in my region. I don't need the stress 😅 That being said, your always entertaining food reviews are soo great Queen 👑 Erin!! Love Tomato Basil soup and cheese dip, but thin just seems wrong, but, if its good 😋 The Korean short ribs sounded yum, but the price!! And the Turkey meatballs sounded great (plenty of sauce is a necessity) ! The prices (overall) were kinda stiff... your face said it all about the Hailee Bieber smoothie (?)... In Minneapolis, MN, they gave a grocery store with chandeliers and a restaurant in it. That was the fancyist grocery store I've visited. Not sure it as good as Erewon.

Girl, the Hailey Bieber smoothie is delish. And the Sophia Richie limited edition cherry one. They are not worth the price. You should have tried the 18 dollar tortilla chips (spoiler, they taste like tortilla chips). Erewhon is strange. Some of their stuff is amazing and other is mid, even for less of the price. The sushi, for example, is not that great.

You are better off going to an international grocery store and getting the marinated Korean meat or going to a Korean BBQ restaurant.
I mean the name Erewhon is an anagram of nowhere and that about sums up where I want to be near it.

While I appreciate the fact that you're willing to go this far for us, I am praying for your wallet. Still it was fun to watch.
I pay 5.00 for jalapeno corn bread and 10.00 for a jar of soup so most is comparable
il stick to my 5.00 walmart tomato bisque and dip a 3.00 grilled cheese into it XD also that cheese dip was more like cheese water.
Honestly, Walmart has a carrot cake that is my FAVORITE!!! We shouldn't be sleeping on Walmart's snacks!

A pimento cheese sandwich basically says "how do you say you're Southern without saying you're Southern." No shade yhough. Or to the store, I'm sure it has its audience and to he fair, some of the food looks good, but... I feel like I would get equal benefits as Whole Foods. But I haven't been, so hard to say.

But the consistency isn't fluffy like cake!
@@ErinRobinson agreed but that's because it's just packed in a very compact kind of way. Cake pops are made from broken up pieces of cake that you've been roll up together in a ball tightly so you're right the middle is more dense but it's still just cake batter.
