- A university graduate who raked in $300,000 in less than 12 months with a clever beauty product she “casually” designed on the side, now she's seeking an investment of $300,000 in return for a 10% equity stake.
An international sensation, Shark Tank AUS features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Tank from our Sharks, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

She did website, design, marketing all by herself in summer break and here I am gaining 10 pounds watching netflix in my summer break
Ikr she’s definitely very driven and admirable
ok go design something now
:)
that's the easy part , the hard part is having 10k to risk in something you don't know if it's gonna work out .
@@adil.670 10k in reality is nothing
Janine offers the most greedy deals. This entrepreneur didn't even consider her offer which was good.
Women cutting down other women. What’s new?
That's because she knows her value
Janine can't get that product into the US. She was not the shark this entrepreneur wanted or needed anyway
@@radaciniadanci5981 “she knows her value” stfu this girl also know her value of her business all she is doing is showing that she doesn’t believe her business is worth the value she’s asking. If that’s the case than her business isn’t something she needs to invest her money and time in. Because this woman also is putting money and time into her own business and to have such a small role in someone’s company as a investor and to be getting a loan for so much money just to get advice and direction just to pay it back at the end. I don’t think her time is worth all that.
YUP
She’s doing well, she now sells in UK’s biggest drugstore makeup retailer
It's REALLY popular in the US too.
I've never heard of this until now...I really don't know how to do eye makeup whatsoever. I look like someone punched me when I do it...so no lol.
@@coleenkane6683 ignorant
@@coleenkane6683 so that's why the product is made for you are you slow?
Poor Steve looks so confused the whole time.
Lol, yeah, he looked like she was pitching a UFO 👽
Smartest if not second smartest of the five, though
I was expecting him to say something along the lines of _I don't understand what the hell is going on, but you're hot so I'm all in!_
🤣🤣🤣yeah
He never has a clue about women's, children's or pets needs.
I love how the men look absolutely confused but the women have such a huge smile on their faces. XD

Men don't really paint themselves every morning
@@dv9239 ...not unless they have tickets to the game. 😉
This girl is smart, I love her tenacity and she was one of the first I’ve seen actually negotiate with the sharks. She’s successful at 23 because she worked hard and she’s humble. Incredible.
A 10 minutes video yet you listing out personality traits like you've known her for 10 years. Calm down
@Jeanne. Exactly. That is annoying. 🤣🤣🤣
Yes, she uses all her smarts to looks and look better. She must be very smart.
I love Aussie version of this, no nasty comments, entrepreneurs can make counter offer without pressure and above all, everyone stands up, hugs each other. Respect to Aussies for their informal, laid back but always polite culture.
I can also see this very clearly on Masterchef. Americans always make their show very much more dramatic then the way they actually are.
Yes, more civilized.
But it is a children version.
Because all the negotiations seem to be absurd. No focus on what the investors can bring to the table of networking/connections.
As an owner you would never sell equity to these greedy type of investors, unless they actually bring VERY important connections etc with them.
It is the investors connections which may be the needed goldmine. Not their actual cash.
@@vostinotanod7982 hahaha exactly, another great example is Kitchen Nightmares, the UK version is so calm and classy, but the American version is the complete opposite, so loud, dramatic music, rude owners and customers

She turned down the deal. Made 10 mil profit to date. Glad she turned down greedy sharks. Good way to play the tv show for publicity, good on her!
What do you mean she turned down the deal, she took it
@@Darkest_Soul_187 she didn't after the show they still negotiate more
Yeah, anyone would think they were giving 300 grand on a risk.
The woman in red let's every deal go
@@Darkest_Soul_187 After the broadcast of a pitch there is a "due diligence" phase where often times the deals don't actually go through for one reason or another.
She ended up turning down the 300k and grew her business and now a year later it’s worth $10million.
Good on her. I think the sharks that offered knew it was a winner. But they are some greedy pricks from what I have seen from this countries shark tank.
No ones copy it?
Great for her! The only real upside to going on shark tank most times is the publicity & adverting the show provides
@@TM-iq6sx there's like thousands of company made it before her
Wish sell it for cheap
It would be great if she made a demo of how other eyeliners work and how it’s hard to apply then she would compare it with her product .it definitely would make it easier for men to understand and they wouldn’t be that confused but i think she did a great job and the fact that i know this product shows that she succeeded
Yeah, it wasn't a good presentation
Careful, not doable because they can sue you. You cannot compare and damage company's reputation.
@@Guide4Ever just build a dummy one yourself that shows how others work without using an original one and compare it with yours
The men were being deliberately thick and dismissive and sexist frankly. They only cared about the sales numbers, not the product no matter what she said
@@aude2sapere that's not sexism. Also they are sharks, they better care about sales
I love Steve's expressions..he can't hide his 'wtf' look
yeah, and actually even though she turned down the money, just being on shark tank gives her brand so much exposure. technically free marketing😂
When did she turn down the money?
She didn’t turn down a deal she took one!!
@@AlishaBrorens after the show😌
It's worrying for the future of humanity that so many people see something on television and go 'well that's what happened then, and that's the end of the story because the cameras stopped then'. About 10% of 'deals' agreed on camera ever get as far as a real contract.
No for free... 20k dollars the ticket to play at "kindersharks"...

Its because she is a hot lady.

Well it starts with a good idea, then you gotta just put some time in it
When all the blokes don't even know what eye-liner is - "oh it's like a texta on the skin" Omg kill me
Just proves that women hold other women to a whole different standard. Most of women’s insecurities come from other women’s attitudes and not men’s. I like how this proved that.
@Technicallyimright - If confirmation bias is the same as a solid, evidence-based study to you, well, no wonder you think you’re right.
@@herbsandmagick4532 ooo someone learned a big word and can’t stop using it, even when out of context. Look at all the women’s magazines, they’re edited by women and gay dudes. So yes, my point stands. Disprove it or fuck off.

Offcourse the men actually know what eyeliner is;)
And he cleaopatra look has existed for centuries. Not only a few decades. It is even defacto been very normal in some countries for a long time. Hint arab countries.

@@Technicallyimright I was with you right up until your comment about gay dudes. I'm still with you, but that was pretty much a stereotype, and you are above that.
What gets me is all these idiots saying Cleopatra wore winged eyeliner... Ummm, that's just how we depict her in modern pictures dumbass. And maybe she had something, but no one knows that it was winged, and it wasn't eyeliner.
Very talented . She designed and packaged everything on her own . I’m in awe
I thought your profile picture was an actual piece of hair on my screen. Lol. XD
Almost every time Janine makes a offer the other sharks faces tells you it is not a good deal.
Steve's reactions are pretty much my reactions to most pitches. 😂
Have you noticed how we're all 'binge watching' these Shark Tank & Dragons Den programmes now !!
Yeaah
I'm from US so it's fun watching these episodes from different countries! I've seen all the ones here.
Damn, I’ve seen this everywhere and I’m very proud of her.
This is so cool, I bought this a few months ago and LOVED it! Never knew it was a shark project. I'm just so happy I can finally do a wing liner!
*Well, heard her business is doing over $10m AUS as at 2019 so she definitely turned out well.*
Her profit is amazing and I love that she didn't invest much! Really proud of this Aussie girl.
You're telling me she never made the link between her name and her business before this.
Andrew's offer was turned off down after show and business is NOW worth 10 mil AUD!!!!
How do you know mate
lies
It’s on google
I'm pretty sure they don't actually invest until the episode airs, so if the company gets big between filming and release the shark will probably always get fucked
Eddie Cito yep 👍
Her reaction to the compliment
"You're bloody fantastic!"
"Thank you.." shrug* (I know)
Note to self: bring a notebook to future negotiations and start scribbling your heart out
Naomi:” I see you are looking for an investment, for that reason it is not an investment for me. Im out”
Lmaoooo I'm crying
Dope...she is always out..
I love Steve’s facial expressions ... it is hilarious 😄😁😂
She should have had a big tv of it close up video of the winged eyeliner being applied. That would have helped.
Andrew we know you invested 300k for the kiss😂
That's an expensive kiss....😀
She played him like a violin.
Actually he got it for free
He didn't invest anything though.
Oh my days !!! Steve is such a character !!😂😂
Awesome to see young talent doing things to make themselves successful. Keep it up
I absolutely love the packaging on her product!
Janine knew this was a good idea and a good investment - she even knew that it was about “being first to the market & first to the mind” - and with a catchy memorable name like “The Quick Flick” - she was right!
Janine knew.....she was still doing figures when Andrew was negotiating - now this is a booming business 😔
Male sharks.... CONFUSED DURING THE ENTIRE PRESENTATION...Glen trying to unerstand recalling what his daughters do

she checked out when she said, "my name is Iris" 🤣
Steve's facial expressions are HILARIOUS. 😂😂 He's like wth is this.
Her company is worth 10 million now
Very savvy - what an inspiration! You go Iris!
Naomi - I'm in this program not to do any investments, for that reason I'm out.
IKRR lol she always does that
I heard somewhere that there is a 5% exchange just for getting on the show. Naomi might just be there to passively get value 🤣
Lmao- she never makes any investments. Why is she still on the show?
Haha
Love the guys reaction at the start. Pretty much me whenever girls mention anything about female clothing/make-up. I'm glad much older guys are still in the same boat.

Janine drives me nuts, I have the same reaction as Steve does when she makes deals like this
This is so amazing!!!!💛💛💛💛 she is too brilliant to handle!😍😍😍
Reaction of steve is hilarious 😂
10k investment that made her millions...
She just has a makeup line. The ladies with Hummingbird for children were only asking for $80,000!!!
The value with makeup vs hummingbird...make up is a multi billion industry...child care/education is valueless in terms of monetary gain. + 95% of the funds don’t actually go towards benefiting the children...valuations are there for a reason
Janine " I want 70% for 5k" Allis.

I actually own this product and love it!!
Steve: Confused 😆
im guessing they´ve delayed the ep for a few months or a year to be first in the market then?
anyone with some info or guesses?
She’s stunning
These sharks don't know how much money the cosmetics industry makes. It's actually insane.
oh they do. thats why they are hesitant. its a big gamble because her competitors are actually making this money and will use it to push you out of the market and have enough cash to go to court with you for ages, which is brutally draining on a start up. financially, emotionally and time wise.
I bought this. I LOVE IT.
I can do my own winged eye liner
But y’all know they don’t come out equal sometimes 😂
So this was a good save 😂
Ok!

I'm 4yrs older than her but still kept feeling like 'I wish I had a daughter like you' throughout the vid, especially her body language at 7:19 xD
We love featuring the Shark Tank on our channel!
2.5 doesn't sound like a lot when you compare it to 30, but 2.5% of a company valued at 1 mil is 25,000... not just gonna throw it away if you don't have to. I respect her efforts in bargaining.
Hmm not quite sure if she did invent this. I’ve seen this winged liner stamp years ago by a different company and a lot of beauty youtubers reviewed that one too. +I guess what separates this from the others is that this one actually looks like a good eyeliner w a nice formula since it applies pretty smoothly.
Yes, the execution is what attracts customers. People come back to good quality.
Ya she copied others, she didn't do anything original at all
She's awesome, great bargainer...
