“Body armor” in America is radically different, I was thinking personal protection from gunfire. Glad to see it wasn’t that extreme, and I could use some of this for my truck!
Dude body armour means the same here. There's a reason they hide it in the thumbnail on this one, it's so you genuinely think it's gonna be a human vest or something that must be revolutionary to make them have a "bidding war"
I thought about doing something like this over 10 years ago. There's even a bigger market for this, but nobody's even mentioned it or talked about it. Great product and idea, glad you made it possible.
Now this was a good episode. I think he should explore not just the Australian, US, and Canadian market, but also the Middle East and Africa that have thousands of outdoor hobbyists, as a second growth phase. A market like Dubai or Kuwait could potentially open up tens of thousands in annual sales. Most people buy pickups and 4WD vehicles due to cheap gas, no taxes and cheap maintenance, and the folks there love offroad trips. Overall, a great product. I'd definitely buy one.
fuckedupswede And your brain. There's nothing there. Only bullsh*t and misinformation. South Africa has about 15 million registered vehicles, growing at a rate of roughly 1 million per year.
yea, a whole new game where its so expensive that no one buys it. Kevlar that thin wont get you any protection against guns if thats what you are thinking.
Kevlar isn’t really a great protection against guns unless you have a soft target that has to be protected. Kevlar doesn’t really stop bullets by itself, it spreads the force out over a larger area to let the human body absorb the energy over a longer period of time. If you put a Kevlar layer on a piece of sheet metal it’ll just rip right through because there is no absorbing of force by the metal.
@@Chevsilverado its not raw metal first.. its thin sheet metal with air behind it.. Second, it would be awesome if they made it in Kevlar super thick with ceramic break plates... just add more magnets and it can hold more weight
He pick the wrong guy. He should pick the left one because he have the passion about car. And the middle because he have the connection and the media. The right one look don't have experience on vehicle thing

I personally own a black Jeep Wrangler and I’m obsessed with car detailing. I never off-road with it because of how much time I spend taking car of the paint. This product is really smart and solves a real issue for sure.
@Anna O' Sullivan Ahh yes, because a statement is perceived by you as negative towards women means it's sexist. Could it be simply the reality. More men own can than women? Could that be even that most men want to own a car but not as many women. Could this be one of those situations when playing the gender equality stuff is inherently flawed because the reality of the situation is that there is an existing built in evolutionary gender difference which puts a biass in the question which means it will never be "same amount of women want this particular thing that smae amount of men want?
This dude got the deal of a lifetime bro 80k for 30% and having 3 sharks all with different connections ranging all the way to the United States. So lucky
I think not having Steve is a mini loss. He seems like the down to earth blokey guy who would engage with the product. Who could possibly get his retooling Costs down
this entire products success was contingent on how easy it is to use for consumer, and this guys idea for the magnetic panels was really simple and really effective.
Vinyl sheets cost about 800 dollars to out on a car. They are sticky and take a lot of time to remove. Last I checked millions of cars had vinyl sheets. A dust and scratch coating on car that is removable feels like a great investment. It looks pretty too!
Yeah, when I saw the title, I wondered why would we have armour in Australia. Pretty lucky in Aussie very few people have guns so almost no one gets killed at the pull of a trigger.
alex parrish all of them. Literally all of them. Old boxy Cherokees would be fantastic for this because they typically have rust due to age so if you can go ahead and get that stuff-fixed being able to cover it with something like this would be fantastic
My landrover has more scratches thsn paint, the way it should be but for brand new shiney 4x4 that costs in the tens of thousands of cash its a really good idea.
I like the friendly banter these Sharks have with one another. Yeah, Aussie Shark Tank isn't as dramatic as the US version, or the UK/CAN versions of Dragon's Den. But there is something about the lack of an intimidating atmosphere that these Sharks give off that I like.
Not only is his idea unique and great... His logo, the name of the company and that camo design is well thought... I hope his company becomes big... These will sell like crazy... This is like phone cover but for cars...
@@swarpin_on_donks I know. It looks like the magnets he uses aren't too strong, based on how easily they remove the panels. I like the use of magnets, but I would like to see super strong magnets that makes it really hard to take off.
I watched this when it first came out and there are so many applications for this. You could use this on safari vehicles, I'm sure that's I issue about getting new vehicles is the abuse they take, but also off road vehicles, all these new vehicles have ads for off roading but in reality when you off road it's more like a ATV trail and you could use this and maybe one more on your hood and roof and drive anywhere and protect yourself from majority of damage that you may occur now if you do damage your vehicle or dent it you probably hit something way to hard since these kinds of things are only as a provision and at this price range the only people who would intent to buy it already have to much money to spend in the first place
I’m like 200% sure I saw a product exactly like this on the American shark tank like 2-3 years ago. One problem they encountered was how the sizes didn’t fit all cars.

Steven The Plug I still disagree, I think maybe for some more serious jeepers but for amateurs especially at the younger levels would love it
Michael Barrutia little expensive
Steven The Plug you sound like such a loser
You see I am a Jeeper and I wouldn't buy this product. I mean sure it's cool and all but every single dent, every single scratch on my Jeep just adds more and more depth to her story. If I wanted my Jeep to be in pristine condition then there's no way in hell I'd go through trails that I expect to flip her on her side or even her back.
I want one for my Subaru!
I hate when the old guy reiterates the offers on the table and the woman in red womansplaning the entrepreneur how to chose an investor
I agree....it has annoyed me since this show came on TV. He always treats the people like they're 5 year olds....
These 5 people give me the bloody SH*TS! "No sales? Oh....." They look down their noses at many people that come on this show..........Typical rich people.
Give the invention man credit for his idea,......he has come to see if someone can help him!!
G Dog i mean u gotta realize she is on shark tank for a reason she has money and knows how to invest the money if i was pitching for a investment i would take her advice
Homeland Security: Firstly I don’t see her as a savvy investor. Just because she is on the show doesn’t mean that she is credible. She didn’t even inspect the product to invest, why would I trust her opinion? The reason why any of them are on this show (including red dress) was generate money for the broadcaster.
If you watch the UK version of Dragons Den would see the shows are miles apart. Most panelists there demonstrate incredible analysis and insightful advice. Watch out for Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones to name a couple
I mean the guy clearly needed it.
@@ascher40 ideas are not worthy if the consumers don't need them...
Andrew’s offer 100%
The power of the U.S consumer shall never be underestimated
“Body armor” in America is radically different, I was thinking personal protection from gunfire. Glad to see it wasn’t that extreme, and I could use some of this for my truck!
Dude body armour means the same here. There's a reason they hide it in the thumbnail on this one, it's so you genuinely think it's gonna be a human vest or something that must be revolutionary to make them have a "bidding war"
I thought about doing something like this over 10 years ago. There's even a bigger market for this, but nobody's even mentioned it or talked about it. Great product and idea, glad you made it possible.
BCNEWSVIDEO darn you missed your chance
A lot of us have good ideas but probably 99% don't execute on it
Now this was a good episode.
Very true
And look at Saudi Arabia, it is literally the home of off-roading.
@@karakurikonnect9572 all over the middle east actually, im living there now. this is such an excellent invention
Lol africa, they dont have cars there, only sticks and stones
fuckedupswede And your brain. There's nothing there. Only bullsh*t and misinformation. South Africa has about 15 million registered vehicles, growing at a rate of roughly 1 million per year.
Make them kevlar and you're in a whole new game.
yea, a whole new game where its so expensive that no one buys it.
Glen earlier: i don't have a smiling face
Jeanine: who do you think you can work with?
Glen: 😊😊😊😊😊
not smiling smarting i believe is what he said. He was talking about how attractive Janine is.
I took one look at the product and knew he'd get multiple offers, it's a good idea and relatively easy to manufacture
Yeah super cheap to produce too... thats likely less then $50 to make the whole set including magnets and he's selling it for over $1000
Also the title 😂
I thought this was about the drink by kobe
He pick the wrong guy. He should pick the left one because he have the passion about car. And the middle because he have the connection and the media. The right one look don't have experience on vehicle thing
Muhd Najmi the guy on the left looked very tense, he even started sweating so I don’t know if that is a good sign or a bad one, could be either.
Yeah but he picked he more for the business mentorship and knowledge
Plus he said it comes off easy in the beginning. Played his self
Glen and Andrew were the best options. Glen has the business experience and can be a good mentor and Andrew came at him with an actual plan for distribution and entrance into the coveted US market. It was the best decision.
it's the best decision
steve nah bottom feeder, but his first offer 30% is the big problem
Presenter: Hi
Sharks: "vigorously writing down"
Presenter: 800k for 7.5%
Sharks: starting....
I personally own a black Jeep Wrangler and I’m obsessed with car detailing. I never off-road with it because of how much time I spend taking car of the paint. This product is really smart and solves a real issue for sure.
There are millions of wives out there who are worried about scratching their husbands cars. This a great product for women
@Anna O' Sullivan News flash, there are women out there who like to ruin a joke
@Anna O' Sullivan I'm a woman and I found this hilarious. This isn't sexist at all 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
P.S Uhhh news flash?
@Anna O' Sullivan Just because you think it's sexist doesnt mean that it is!
The unfortunate problem I see is because they are easy to take off, I could imagine they would be stolen
You know Steve is interested when he puts back his glasses xD
The inventer walks in and say hi
And the sharks: write down notes violently
That cunning smile of Glen after Janine ask "who do you think you can work with?" 9:40
"I don't have a smiling face, "..... He really therew that in Steve's face 😂😂😂
This dude got the deal of a lifetime bro 80k for 30% and having 3 sharks all with different connections ranging all the way to the United States. So lucky
It was 240K for 30%..
80k for each 10%.
At the end he got 160k and gave 20% and got two sharks
Im American and I vibe more from this shark tank than my own countries’ version
I think not having Steve is a mini loss. He seems like the down to earth blokey guy who would engage with the product. Who could possibly get his retooling Costs down
this entire products success was contingent on how easy it is to use for consumer, and this guys idea for the magnetic panels was really simple and really effective.
Vinyl sheets cost about 800 dollars to out on a car. They are sticky and take a lot of time to remove. Last I checked millions of cars had vinyl sheets.
A dust and scratch coating on car that is removable feels like a great investment. It looks pretty too!
Australia's definition of body armor got Americans laughing
Yeah, when I saw the title, I wondered why would we have armour in Australia. Pretty lucky in Aussie very few people have guns so almost no one gets killed at the pull of a trigger.
America's body count got Australia laughing
I was hoping to buy in bulk 😑😂
“Such a boy thing”
I would honestly love to be able to chose different designs for my car just for fun and for my car to look good.
Amazing always impressed how people create products that no one has really thought about
:21 “Hi Sharks, how you going” lol when the nerves kick in 😂
One of those products I would invest in. "You gotta have rhino hide to be a shark" great quote.
I know many people with wranglers that would get this
alex parrish all of them.
And I'd rather have your landrover than a poncy modern Chelsea tractor
They're good at running the show. They squeezed him towards the one offer lol.
When the dude on the left put his glasses on n give u that look . He is thinking something😂😂
I like the friendly banter these Sharks have with one another.
Yeah, Aussie Shark Tank isn't as dramatic as the US version, or the UK/CAN versions of Dragon's Den. But there is something about the lack of an intimidating atmosphere that these Sharks give off that I like.
"So if you guys wanna come up and bash thins with a stick."
This product is awesome. Perfect for off-road travel.
I like the Australian Shark Tank more than the American one
Mark is a decent guy and genuine, he made the right choice wish him well
Not only is his idea unique and great... His logo, the name of the company and that camo design is well thought... I hope his company becomes big... These will sell like crazy... This is like phone cover but for cars...
This is hands down my favorite idea I have seen on this show.
It's a decent idea, but I think if you are whacking thru the bush, I would be worried some of the panels would get knocked right off.
Exactly what I thought - any branch strong enough do amage the car would be strong enough to pull off a couple of little magnets
Well he said he tested it out so.... Let's just assume it won't fall off
Those magnet aren't a joke they can neodynium magnates can pull hundreds of pounds in a magnet just 2-3 inches in diameter.
Vince magnetic...
@@swarpin_on_donks I know. It looks like the magnets he uses aren't too strong, based on how easily they remove the panels. I like the use of magnets, but I would like to see super strong magnets that makes it really hard to take off.
Must be lovely parking this on the street and waking up the next morning and wondering where the hell my panels went.
why would you ever leave it on over night when it takes literally 2 minutes to take all the panels off
@@krismartinez2685 yeah
The second the guy said would you like to hit it with a stick I got cyber truck flash backs
Isaac TW Elon’s crying rn
What a simple but great idea. I actually get angry that I don’t think of this shit. Easy money.
Damn these comments are more aggressive than the US sharks
This is nothing like dragons den there too nice and the lady in red just life coached him this should be called dolphin tank
Lol
This guy in my opinion made the perfect choice for their expertise and as well as what their ambitions were... Cheers to him
