Thanks for watching! Take a minute and think of one thing you *know* you look good in (because you *feel* good in it!) and comment it below! Mine is definitely my fit-and-flare dress!
Yeah, me too. There's nothing wrong with it, as long as you enjoy it. My typical style is black band shirts with black pants, no accessories and I like it that way, regardless of opinions.
Great tips but i disagree with your statement about black clothes. To me black is still the most classic, elegant and sophisticated colour. I agree though that you should not wear black or baggy clothes to "hide" anything. However everyone has different tastes and that's good thing.😊
My trick is also to make a photo, or preferably a short video of myself (walking/turning around etc) with my mobile. When I watch myself on the video I see much more clearly whether it suits me than when I just watch myself in the mirror. And for the colour: does it make me look older/more tired or fresher?
You're SO right about the "zooming in" on trouble spots. I do that all the time, even though when I look at another person I take in the overall view for the most part!
Rebecca Jacobs, I've watched hours of style and fashion videos (and I've still got a lot to learn) but this is the only one I've seen yet that is so impressive, and packed full of wisdom, I've saved the url and plan to watch it at least once more. My first of your videos, so I'm looking forward to seeing many more. Here I want to acknowledge the signature qualities that impress me so much: Your unaffected persona in videos, sincerely offering help; the original viewpoint and wisdom. And your compassion. So glad to have found you and your wonderful work. THANK YOU.
You give such great advice, Rebecca, and so appreciate your videos. If you're looking for suggestions, I'd love to see examples or illustrations to go along with your advice. For instance, you could show us how you stand in front of the mirror, assess an outfit on yourself or a friend, and check details like the shoulders, or insert some photos of good fit versus bad fit. I watch videos because I learn visually. Thanks!
I do not like gray much but when I go to the store stuff I like just ends up being grey and I am like 'ahg wish this was in a color like blue or red' 😂
I also have to agree with the others below. The outfit I receive the most compliments on is my all black outfits. I love how I feel wearing it as well so I think that says something.
Thank you 🙏 This is probably one of top 3 style videos I've ever watched (and I subscribe to truly high quality channels)! I love your good sense approach and your style. I like navy and white too. Skirts and dresses 💃 I feel like your style would be the evolution of my own. How did you define it? I like: boho/ethnic/folksy, preppy, classical, natural fabrics, avantgarde-silhouette-but-wearable, and solid colors. Everything. You're the only person on youtube who pulls off all of these style influences and not only that but really considers/values each item. I just needed to say this much to give something back. Subbed today!
Thank you, love! And so glad this video was helpful to you. I have a video that might be helpful to you about how I created my signature style right here: ruclips.net/video/wyR-p5zwVJw/видео.html
One outfit has a long sweater and the other has a short jacket. The underneath is black pants and either a button down and waist coat or Henley. Both I've worn before but now I cant decide
Nyc video bt wud like u to tell hw do I dress if I hv O shaped body basically pregnant kinda stomach. & yes evn I fl comftbl in blk n dark clrs as it hides my stomach lil... Plss do hlp.. M frm India.
Hi Shaily, you could consider dresses with an empire line to skim your tummy and you could embrace all the gorgeous Indian coloured and patterned fabrics. Ciao😀
Another cute video Rebecca - scandalous necklines, lol!!! - we've all seen a few of these at work! Maybe you could do a video on workplace appropriate clothing for men and women?
The dark and/or baggy is all over the stores. It's near impossible to find things fitted at the waist and more feminine looking. This decade isn't going to be too kind to me haha

lmfao thanks bro 🤜🤛
Black is my favorite color, Black defines my life,
Black is what I show,
Black is what I wear
Hi Th3, I love black too, but wear colour a bit more now. Do you punch out your black with accessories?
Yeah, me too. There's nothing wrong with it, as long as you enjoy it. My typical style is black band shirts with black pants, no accessories and I like it that way, regardless of opinions.

I totally agree.
I personally think white is the most elegant color. But a head-to-toe black outfit, if styled nicely, can provide an incredibly chic and sharp look.
My trick is also to make a photo, or preferably a short video of myself (walking/turning around etc) with my mobile. When I watch myself on the video I see much more clearly whether it suits me than when I just watch myself in the mirror.

Nice! I take a photo and delete but I’ll try a video 👍

Pumped you are enjoying the videos. So appreciate you being here, Claire! And what beautiful feedback-thank you for sharing it with me!
Great tip -most of the things that don't flatter women are the "Safe" things!
Absolutely! So glad you agree, girlfriend! Thanks for leaving your thoughts!
Val, I couldn't agree more. Sometimes we get lazy, or lose our way from time-to-time. Vids like Rebecca help us stay fresh😀.
Rebecca, what about your hair care? I love your hair and it's colour too.
