I LOVE that you didn't re-invent your style, but improved old outfits. It was such an epiphany for me recently to realize that my style over the years changed much less than I had thought. We tend to be drawn to similar "ideas" (such as your example of the trousers). This is so important to realize because it allows you to work with what you have instead of always trying to re-invent yourself. It also shows that we tend to already have a personal style, we just need to polish it to convey the message adequately

love that you called out the “is it an outfit or is she just skinny” trend! it frustrates for me how people don’t know how proportion plays such a subtle but powerful role in creating outfits. PLUS celebrities in majority really do have stylists to help know which style fits for THEM, which is totally normal if it doesn’t for others.

      Like white tee with jeans.
You can find pics of plus size women looking good in the exact same.
But everyone is gonna go "omg I love the outfit!!!" for the skinny celeb.
Even tho its completely unoriginal and nothing special. It was praising her body, but in a way where you assumed youd never get called out for it because youve got plausible deniability by saying it was the basic shirt she was wearing that did it!
But I do agree wuth you. People usually use it the way youve described.
Funny how call outs like that quickly get warped when influencers jump on board and try twist it to their advantage.

do you remember the origin story of that trend?
pretty ironic how it turned out.
I actually got bullied about my blonde brows because of that trend.

This is probably the most useful stylig video I've ever seen (and I've seen a few).
The part about different Tshirt materials was an eye-opener

Same here. I bought this plain brown shirt a couple of months ago because I wanted more basic pieces but haven’t bothered to wear it after the first time. The fabric is just way too thin and I was constantly having to adjust it. This video really highlighted to me why it didn’t work for me.

It's kind of cool to see too how in the before pictures you have the long hair, but it's almost always pulled back anyway. That short hairstyle really suits you!

“Explore literally any other type of pants. Yes, I’m taking to you fellow millennials!” She really got me 🤣🤣 I have been so hesitant to branch out because I’ve been shamed in the past so hard for wearing high water flare pants and now they’re in style… this video has convinced me to brand out!!

Edit: my fave outfit was the second one with the v neck bodysuit. I LOVE those white pants! I’m always looking for a longer inseam to accommodate my legs.

Great video Asia! I too have recently discovered that I have narrow hips or ‘Inverted Triangle’ body shape which is also exaggerated with my large bust 😅 I fall into the short torso/long leg category and love a high waisted pant to show off my long legs, but have been experimenting with mid rise to balance out my proportions 🤞🏾 I’ll see how it goes. More videos like this would be amazing! ✌🏾

Hi Asia! Thank you so much for making this video - I've struggled for a long time with my short torso and long legs, especially considering it's not represented in mainstream media and having friends who fit that image more. It's really nice to see this representation and I was happy to see that we had the same proportions :)

I lost a significant amount of weight over the past few years and I thought that would help me look better & even tho I’m very fit now I still hate the way I look when I dress and this video and your other video is a game changer for me thank you!!!🥺🫶🏽
we need more of these, this isn’t talked about enough!
I always wondered why I hate some of my jeans and I can never get a good outfit together. Also, I love when you used your mom as a comparison because it really shows the perspective for both but really shows the visual differences!

Your guide on how to elevate daily style is like a fashion compass leading to a realm of chic sophistication! It's reminiscent of the teachings from my lifecoach Lisa Haisha during her soul-enriching retreat in the Philippines. Both you and Lisa share a common thread of inspiring greatness.

Excellent video! You’ve gained a new subscriber here! I loved how you broke each of the looks down and analysed your own proportions to improve the look. I’m plus sized and often think that things look good on my Pinterest pins just because the subject is slim. You have most definitely proved me wrong and the examples of the different body styles you showed demonstrated that. I think I’m going to have some fun trying this exercise on myself. Thank you Asia.
