- This is a 3D illustration of the shooting in Butler, Pa. President Trump was struck on the ear by a bullet fired 400 feet away. This illustration is set to scale to give an understanding of where the major parties involved were.

Too many assumptions of shooter positions, projectile trajectory, no sound anaylsis of each shot, a tree clearly obscure the view of the shooter from the most Northerly team of police snipers, they would not shoot through a tree and unfortunately she hasn't considered other video footage which shows two open windows on the building directly behind Crooks. You can get Google Earth Pro for free, use it to measure distances and such like for your own opinions.

And I agree with @Talon19, that it's looking like one of the "Cowboy Hat" snipers took out TC, not the "Ball Cap" crew to the north.

It was not the north barn snipers that apparently took the shot. It was the south ones that turned around and had better visibility. There were more on the barn to thr furthest right.

Yes, please add a building behind but to the left of the podium where a second team were located that likely took out crooks. There's a news article named "Tree may have blocked snipers' view of Trump rally gunman, maps show" that shows the locations of the two teams relative to the podium.

They are wearing different gear and hats.
The team over Trump's right shoulder have patches on their upper sleeve.
I have not found a high resolution picture to identify the patches, but they appear to have an outline of the state of Pennsylvania.
@@muddywater6856 I believe I read that one team was secret service, and the other team was local. I'm not sure who was placed where. It is easy to see that the one team behind and to trumps right have "police" patches on them, but don't know if secret service use that marking, I’m guessing they are the local team. This team also can be seen to flinch and duck when the shooting began so I doubt they would have been the team that made the shot that took out the shooter. I've since read that there were at least four counter sniper teams with some possibly hidden within the buildings monitoring crowds through windows.

The Secret Service officer that actually shot and killed the shooter was not the one(s) in your illustration. The SS agent that took out the shooter was on a roof farther away from the sniper.
Those SS snipers weren't the ones who shot the wannabe assassin though

IT was the sniper team covering the south side, that changed their direction that had a much clearer view of shooter, that did the kill shot.

I wish that someone had an accurate video that would show when Comperatore was hit vs when Trump reacted grabbing his ear. Great 3D layout based on knowledge at that time.

I thought that there was a report that a Penn. Sheriff or PD sniper made the kill shot, not the snipers on the roof. The snipers on the roof looked like they flinched and couldn’t attain a shot.
I’m not sure we absolutely know where the counter snipers shot from. One of these models does give credence to how the snipers on the south roof had a better visibility to the shooter though.
That would be an interesting model to dive into.

Except that those SS counter snipers never put a finger on a trigger & never fired their weapons.
Apparently there were four counter-sniper teams at the rally and the one depicted did not engage Crooks. It was the team behind them that had a clear line of sight that engaged him.
Info is all over the place. Only two are ever shown on camera. Where are you seeing the third and fourth?
@@ryanburbridge There are very few (I've only seen 2) photos of that south team. They were both wearing dark uniforms but bush hats instead of ball caps like the north team. Also, both their rifles had suppressors.

Amazing illustration as usual! Thank you! This video makes it much more clear how that poor man was able to be hit/killed. Obviously, you can be hit when you’re standing or down but I think for me, the lesson from seeing this is that, it is probably better to stay as low as possible in this situation. Speaking as a Canadian who did not grow up around guns, have shootings around us often etc. So, thank you! I hope your work gets picked up!
Absolutely 💯!! Even before this, I tell my teenager daughters, if your ever in active shooting,get down, fetal position, Cover back of head with arms, face down. 😢 dam, seems he jumped up for no reason, bullet would have wizzed by. I think he was a taller dude?
I have Canadian cousins[they say things like u], and friendly reminder, Americans are NOT all gun lovers, America is NOT the deep south only. I don't own a gun, my entire extended family doesn't own guns. I have never touched or even seen a live gun [other than a cops holdster].

How did you establish elevations, what tolerances or in other words, in the vertical dimension, are you within say plus or minus a foot, an inch, a meter? would a surveyor with a transit show the same? I know nothing about CAD, but if there is a zero plane horizon point, I guess you could shoot angles to known distant points.

this is completely bogus, at least one important "detail" is missing -- police man peaking on the roof from a side and facing barrel of a long gun effectively stressing out the shooter and pressuring him to execute. Which might made him miss

You show north CS (Counter Sniper) team shooting the shooter....it was the south CS team that took him out....because...as you show.....the north team did NOT have a clear shot, and would need to shoot through trees.

I'm really sick of trump being referred to as president !!!! His title is the same as every other former president in history. They are and he is a former president! Are we changing historical titles now for trump? While a current sitting President is in office, he or she is the only one to carry the title of President. Where is the respect and decency to a sitting President no matter what your politics are.

Unfortunately Mr. Trump ("Mr. is also acceptable) has politicized even this small issue by insisting that he be called/addressed always as "President Trump" wether in social media posts, court arguments by his attorneys, etc. in order to gain an edge and influence juries members, etc. Many of the silly issues we fight intensely over today were precisely introduced into the American blood stream. That has always been like that, former Presidents are always still called "President Obama" etc until they die. In fact, only starting with Trump did the media introduce the term "Former President Trump", which had never been a thing in the past. That's how petty and childish the Media is :)

@@chazzcapone. You know what the funny thing about that is? I'm not even American. I'm from Germany and I know this. It's crazy to me to see from an outside/neutral point of view how hard the media distorts and manipulates in the US. That being said, the media here (Europe etc) is just as bad, so I'm not trying to just diss the US. It's everywhere. It's just that when you dont really care about the politics (like me in this case for the US as someone from the outside), you see everything much clearer and more obvious.
