Didn't know traxxas had a store until I saw your videos,, taking a week's vacation just to go to Mckinney and to finally get an XMAXX.. have several traxxas cars, but thought it would be kinda cool to get the xmaxx from there. Thanks for the great videos!! And letting me know the mecca of traxxas stores existed. I will be sure to tell them your the reason I drove 700 miles to shop there!!
I agree. I would rather pay for decent batteries and get a discount off the price of the truck. Your best bet would be finding a Traxxas Homer or newb that didn't know better and selling the "free" ones to them and put that money towards good ones if needed. Ideally anyone in the market for that type truck would have just picked up a 6s Mojave a couple months back when they were on sale for $500 and saved themselves a lot of money and heartache.

Haven’t broke anything on mine yet. Since a lot of people have had the stock esc quit in a short time, I did swap that out to a max8. Stock one was still working. Built off the Maxx and I love those. Get some fans though. Motor is zero and it’ll get hot. They actually first released them with too high of a pinion gear and people were burning up motors left and right.

you dont have to get a windows computer to update that ESC programer i have a brand new MacBook Pro running parralel program and it runs both. It run windows in a VM its only $100 a year
I bought a enduro trailrunner, and stupidly put the front bumper in too far, which locked up the servo, and smoked the servo and reciever before i could ever use it once. I have my electronics from my slash 4x4vxl, so i am going to put he whole combo in and hope it doesnt melt the transmission. Man i was stupid, but i hope it will fit. it looks like the motor shaft is a little too long, has anyone ever cut them, or just put spacers since im not planning on going fast? i just want to use my new model, so i am going to go for it. It will be hilarious with that much power. Of course someone that likes traxxas would be an apple fan, they both use the same evil litigious business practices!
Anyone serious about building a great crawler starts with a TRX. Comps around the globe are dominated by TRX rigs. All the folks running anything else wish they could have a TRX. That entire comment was completely true except every single word of it.
Why would you put a rebranded hobby wing fusion that has less control and one of your crawler belts? Spektrum is also overpriced. What a waste of money.
I still love traxxas but im not buying anymore cars from them at least for right now. Retiring the Hoss was one thing but adding the HD upgrade kit to the Stampede VXL from factory is crappy. Great vid and I love your drag build. was thinking about doing a rustler drag build but I dont know yet.

The Hobbywings Fision Pors are better. Yeah Hobbywing makes the Spektruym 2 n 1 but nothing like their branded 2 n 1. I'd go as far to say the SE is better then the Firma

Your complaint about the DX5 Rugged scroll wheel is the reason I went with the regular DX5C.

I have the spektrum 2-in-1 motor in my CEN F-450 and it can crawl wayyy slower than shown on the TRX4 in this video.

The rugged touch pad isnt that bad once you get use to it, but getting use to it....... mine almost ended up in a million piece's.

The hoss was just the stampede with a new name, and it didn't do very well so they went back.
