Dude... you ACTUALLY make VERY good and applicable videos for GTI fans....pro AND amateur! Iam personally beginning my mod/tune journey with a 2019 Rabbit GTI.....and your videos are VERY insightful and humbly made! Congrats on being an obviously nice and respectful kid....and it is great to see you working with your Dad like that! Super wholesome, bud!

Thank you so much. I’d love to hear how your build goes! It’s one of the coolest cars ever!

In America it is truly a must thing if you want your cars to last for you to know how to change oil and other stuff. Why I never take my cars to anywhere to change oil, brakes or lots of basic stuff.

      100% 👍
I’ve been doing all maintenance I mean everything’s for almost 8 years and I’m not a mechanic either but it seems I learned so many things and have fun with 😂

You don’t want to fill it to the max line because when you drive the car hard and get it really hot the oil level will go past the max line and you are now at risk of oil leaking from the head and forcing the oil to go in parts where it isn’t supposed to be. I used to fill mine up to the max and street race had oil in my boost pipes, rear main seal leaking , and had oil leaking from my head gasket.

That’s completely false! These engines can hold much more than the max line but obviously you don’t too pass the max line.. I’ve been filling up my gen3 up to max and at times a tad over max for the last 190k miles with no issues

Cool video man love the gti.
Very helpful for anyone who’s doing their own oil changes. Ever tried one of those oil extractors? I use those every other oil change super easy and don’t even have to lift the car.

Vw will make the entire engine out of plastic the moment they figure out how to make it outlast the warranty period.

Plastic is for weight reduction as well as cost

I wonder if royal purple oil HPS 10w40 would be better than mobile 1 euro

not over 5w- weight oil for turbo cars, or not enought flow for the turbo at cold start

I don’t think I would modify it and it’s with your changing the oil every 4000 miles or after a track day and hopefully the turbo charger is water cool, but if it’s not, it never hurt after at track day or any other day to let sit for three minutes four minute ideling
