David Tomlinson, best known as George Banks in Mary Poppins.
Saw him among the invested spectators at Newmarket one day. Good clothes not too carefully applied.
Great character actor
Always great fun to see him. He was always himself, unashamedly. Funny as Uncle Pumblechook in Great Expectations from the 70s - sounds his usual upperclass self, yet he is uncle to either blacksmith Gargery or Mrs G, and has Xmas lunch with them.
