- Robert Adolph Wilton Morley, CBE was an English actor who enjoyed a lengthy career in both Britain and the United States. He was frequently cast as a pompous English gentleman representing the Establishment, often in supporting roles.

He was brilliant on The Big Time with Fanny Cradock , truly lovely guy and brilliant actor especially in the Miss Marple with Margaret Rutherford . Did you know he was offered a knighthood in 1975 but declined it
Also note that below him is his Son, Sheridan Morley, the well known Film, Theatre and TV critic who passed away in 2007 at the relatively young age of 65 as a result of the effects of an earlier stroke.
