The Wizard of Oz - a parable of the narcissistic template?

The wizard and witch in the classic Wizard of Oz movie appear so strong and omnipotent at the start of the storyline. At the end of the movie we realise however, that they are both weak and easily overcome. This is much like the narcissist who will in overt presentation present as big and scary. Looking at the message that these characters teach can help us to realise how we have the power within us to overcome the toxic people we encounter once we stop giving our power away to them. They will happily continue by manipulating us and their flying monkeys until we wake up and realise what we are dealing with - which is essentially smoke and mirrors and not real.
