    Overall, The U is an exciting documentary that gives the audience a behind the scenes view into the success and controversy surround Miami University in the 90s and early 2000’s. It appeals to a wide variety of people and has something to interest almost everybody, with everything from team highlights to statistics to interviews with coaches. The rare footage from locker rooms, practices, and even the huddles in games allows one to feel like a member of the the team and witness the culture of the Hurricanes that ordinary reporters can’t capture. The film does an excellent job of presenting the story responsibly and neutrally, which is impressive considering the interviews of players that are biased to their alma mater and the numerous scandals surrounding the team. All of the polarizing information and topics that The U covers would make it incredibly easy to, and even difficult not to, create a film that presents the team in a biased manner, but the director masterfully manipulates it in such a way that viewers can draw unique, different conclusions. I give this documentary a 10/10, and would recommend it to anyone, even if they’ve never watched football in their life.

Johnson, creamed the quarterback of what I think is UCLA. DT #94 D. Johnson didn't make it in football, but he did in the entertainment industry. Ladies and gentlemen, that was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He had a decent career, but in his freshman and senior years he tore his ACL, and wasn't drafted.

We should be now, where we thought we were going to be with Randy Shannon & Jackory but oh well Stephen Morris is about to enter into his own & mark my words Duke Johnson wins the Heisman next year!

    Honestly, I'm tired of people trying to debate what's gonna happen. I think people mostly do it because the game is such a long time away, and people get bored until then. But, the outcome depends on so many factors like turnovers, penalties, how Golson plays against the Bama defense, and how well Bama runs the ball. So many games don't go as expected, like the 2010 AU-Oregon game, everyone thought it would be really high scoring, and it was not. The 1992 Bama-Miami game was another example.

    The Canes couldn’t talk too much smack about Bosworth. He was for certain one of the few opposing players that could back up his talk vs them. He probably would have fit in well on that Miami roster.

    It was a shocker; that OSU team looked really good that year; whereas Florida struggled against some teams like FSU; but yea something happened that night, I don't know what it was; either Chris Leak got red hot, or maybe OSU just didn't match up well with Florida, but it was a shocker. And I think that game was what gave the SEC the momentum it has today; and it started the Big Ten on a downward slide, that seems to get worse every year.

    @knightguy11 it does matter to some people like me....but if a college team has more players in the nfl it shows how good the college can recruit and how well they can develope players

  • @knightguy11
    @knightguy11 11 лет назад

    You are right. Wuerffel has been ranked as a top five college quarterback of all time. He had amazing numbers in college and won the Heisman. He was drafted in the 4th round. They say he didn't have the arms strength(not enough zip on the ball). He played 6 seasons in the NFL and started some games as well. He was the MVP of the Wold Bowl in 2000. Not all great college players translate to the pros. Especially QB's. There is a long list of great college QB's that didn't make it in the NFL.

    @funnytrain1 I appreciate being called "not a Miami guy", I played football at UCF. I earned 10 varsity letters in high school. QB, point guard, 2nd baseman. I was always a leader. You don't know me at all. My teamates could always count on me. I just kick as between the whistles. I'll knock you on your butt and then offer you a hand to get up. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Its a shame that some people think the way you do. Play hard, play fair, and win. Good day!

    I wouldn't underestimate Notre Dame if I were you; historically overconfidence has been a dangerous thing just look at games like the 1987 Fiesta Bowl, 2002 Miami vs OSU, 2006 USC vs Texas, and in the NFL you have the 2002 Super Bowl Rams vs Pats, 2008 Pats vs Giants. Also Notre Dame is better than alot of people give credit for they have a good defense, and an offense that's improving. Their biggest weakness is probably the redshirt freshman Qb, who has played well, but still might struggle.

    They had a good 1992 team as well. Until Alabama pimp slapped them in that championship game. I've never seen a team talk more and then get their asses handed to them like that.

    @knightguy11 Good for you, I'm glad you coached. I don't remember cheating off the field. If you're referring for the pell grant scandal yeah that wasn't cool but a lot of worse things happened at other institutions (especially SEC schools). I played also and know more than a few pro players so I think I have a good idea of what goes on as well :)
