I from Miami I will never stop being A hurricane fan
2 years later miami is a playoff team #cainsforever
And now we looking good
Same
Born and raised, now live 3 blocks from the U. I get to hear the band practice
This never gets old
This video makes me emotional. I lost my father recently who was a U of M medical graduate. He was a Pediatrician. A damn good one too. My dad and I watched most of these moments from home in Athens, GA. Where he moved after getting his degree. I was born in ‘90 so he would tell me of these incredible 80’s Miami teams like they were a mythical beast or storm. Then 2000 came I was 10 and we got f*cked over by the BCS. Then glory! The best team OF ALL TIME. Then the robbery in the desert 🌵. So naturally dad had to get back to the OB. My first ever live game was “The Comeback” by Sean Taylor, Devin Hester, and Brock Berlin among others. It was classic. But on saturdays in Athens Georgia EVERYBODY is bulldawgs fan unless you’re visiting, we were the only family with hurricane flags all over our vehicles. My dad used to say being a Miami fan in football is harder than any other team: “Because we have to beat the other teams first, then we have to beat the officials, then we have to beat the Media, and if you’re playing Notre Dame we have to win by 4 scores because they paid everybody else.”- Miss you Dad.
i’m sorry for your loss
Rip to your pops🙏
May he rest in peace and you continue to live in power
Your Dad was absolutely right !
Let’s Go Canes !!
Love you dad! And you were right! Go Canes from Cleveland Ohio!
Bruh you cannot comprehend the amount of swag these guys played with
Greatest game I ever have seen in person FSU v Miami 2002. Wide Left.....We snuck into the game with all the students......Classic!!!
I’ll never forget being on vacation in Charlotte NC visiting my fathers mother and she was flipping through channels because dad and his dad were watching my dads Alma Mater hurricanes in the other room and she landed on the game and saw the score and the clock and said “oh no they’re kicking to win.” And I was 12 years old and I go “or kicking to lose” and he kicked and missed it and we cheered so loud!!!
All these years later, I still come watch this video routinely and it still gives me goosebumps and makes me want to tear seeing ST and others. Even when its rough, I will ALWAYS be a Miami Hurricane.
It’s been rough always will be hurricane fan though
RIP SEAN TAYLOR. STILL MY FAVORITE PLAYER EVER. SINCE I WAS 13
😭😭😭😭 R.I.P. best ever #26
#MEAST
Never will be another one like #26
One of the saddest days of my life was seeing the OB demolished
I watched Miami beat Florida State in 2000 in the Orange Bowl. You could feel the electricity in the air. Truly amazing. Now I could die a happy man.
Rest In Peace To The Players That Are Not Living Anymore 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brings a tear to my eye. Wow what great memories. Thanks to all who wore the U and the coaching staffs throughout the years. Great times! 🙌
CANES 4 ever! When I'm no longer here n when I'm laid 2 rest I'll be laid 2 rest in my Hurricane jersey! GO CANES!
Me too Gonna get an Australian state funeral in my Canes shirt. There is no greater love for me, ever, than The " l_l " 🙌🏈☝
I grew up in Kendall. I went to a very strict private Christian school "FCS Patriots"...strict dress codes, uniforms, hair off ears and collar, belts at all times and shirt tucked in, but every Thursday or Friday we were allowed to adorn ourselves in "Canes gear" and even the staff dressed for it. It's a Canes thing!
im a big usc fan...this is badass!!! I got respect for the U!!!
I was real happy when the U and EJ ran all over and fucked up UCLA purfect season in 98-99
I'm from miami love my canes but USC 2nd
6 time national champions
4 time national champions
Exactly that Ohio State was rigged against the canes
joseph Howell Actually they have 5 National Championships.
I will go to my grave rightfully counting the 2002 championship as our 6th national title win. I don’t accept rip offs.
Should be 7 Ohio State ref rob the u
I'm a Clemson fan but damn do I love watching Miami when they are good! Y'all need to get yourselves someone who will bring your football program back! Imagine an ACC with Clemson, FSU, Miami, GT, Louisville, and sometimes VT. Hopefully the ACC makes their mark on the playoff era.
Your absolutely rite man fuck al folden just imagine Clemson Miami fsu and vt battling it out for the acc championship ever year... Someone's gotta bring the glory back to the U💯
XSE256 we got a coach who doesn't even know what insanity is, hands 330 offers a year, and plays a bend but dont break defense when every single in south florida haught been taught to attack as soon as they were born.
XSE256 Clemson has been the only team doing there part in the ACC... I’m a Miami fan and it sucks being in a conference that is filled with mediocre teams besides one. It’s about time that Miami, FSU, Pitt, and Virginia tech come back and make the conference relevant again
Respect #ACC
We’re back 😏
lawd, I love me some Canes
I cried during this video I miss this goddamn teen bring it back bring it
At first I get upset since we are not what we were and what we should be, but then I remind myself that I witnessed all of this in my lifetime. Then my sense of entitlement disappears and is replaced with thankfulness, and I can't complain one bit. This was a truly an amazing and special part of my life. I watch and my heart aches for my young son. My hope and prayer is that he lives to see these days return. This video captures how truly amazing the Miami Hurricanes are. The []_[] forever!
I was thinking the same thing. I'm glad I got to see it. CANES FOR LIFE !
I'm a Trojan for life. I also know the Canes history, and I would like to see them winning again. This was one of the best videos I have seen.
i could watch this every day
I actually do ...
@@mozart8142 every morning to start my day
I was introduced to the U and the Orange Bowl in 1995 by a friend when I landed in Miami to start a business there coming from Belgium where soccer was THE sport.
I had never seen American Football live but was sold immediately.
What an atmosphere. And those tailgate parties were the max.
I still remember Ken Dorsey and Jeremy Shockey.
I've been a fan since.
GO 'CANES!
Born and raised in the 305 this brings back so many memories thank you Go Canes 🙌
Just git goosebumps from watching this 👌🔥🔥
This video was just amazing. Especially towards 2001-2006 highlights. Those were some of the best days of my Life. Wish I can go back. 😔
who still has goosebumps in 2019???!! It's all about The U!
Best team of all time!
I got to tell you guys something you may not know or simply chose to not acknowledge it. Back in the mid to late 1970's both Miami and FSU were contemplating DROPPING football because of their poor performance. In fact, in 1975, one team even dropped Miami from their schedule and the U never rescheduled anyone for the opening. The exact same thing was true of FSU. I bet many of you young guys do not even remember a time when the U played "Friday Night Live" games to try and draw bigger crowds as opposed to a Saturday afternoon. I vividly remember sitting in the OB and they Canes were playing before crowds of 10-15,000 on average. You have no idea how sad and pathetic they were , as well as FSU not too far back.
Tragedy to triumph...! Only a few know about that, but ALL KNOW ABOUT THE RUN WE HAD..! One of the best college football programs EVER..? 2001 best college team ever..!
Pj Pitts8732 I absolutely agree it’s sad to hear these chumps on Espn try and come up with these teams with one good QB and say they were better, as a team and raw skill no team in my opinion comes close to the 2001 canes. GO CANES
am not afraid to say I got watery eyes looking at this. Love the U. so many great players, and memories. R.I.P. Sean Taylor
Facts 💯
Most people would go back in time for money or other things to better themselves. Not me, I'd go back to live in a time where I could watch this dominance live. I was born in 96 and I've been a Hurricane ever since. Unfortunately I cannot recall a season before Devin Hester's Freshman year. Watching this video just brought a tears to my eyes. GO CANES 🙌
The best CANES vid on the tube! I was at a lot of those games during the 58 home game winning streak...This vid has all of what makes THE MIAMI HURRICANES great, any fan of a team with this kind of history would be a fan for life.
Hey it's my buddy with "gator" in his name. LOLOLOL.....soo stupid. You don't even realize you are giving respect to Florida with that, LOLOLOL
***** Oh I can see that. The fact is that whenever you make any mention of another team you are showing they are good. I would never call myself "anticane" just stupid.
CANEBOT988 I spent 17 of my 1st 22yrs of living sitting on Dolphins/Hurricanes/New Year's Orange Bowl and high school games.
Greatest College Ever 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
when u really look at everything, The U had the best run in collage history
Kevin, I went to a ton of Canes games and a I still follow them. However, although their 5 NC's are outrageous, it can't eclipse FSU from being in 35 straight bowl games along with a string of 14 straight seasons with at least 10 wins. From 1987-2000, FSU had a record of 152-19-1 for a .887 winning percentage, against some of the toughest opponents. That is impressive. The U had 58 straight home wins which is outrageous, and FSU was not too far behind with 50 straight games at home without a loss, when they were 49-0-1.
Paul Robinson everyone doesn’t like Alabama they are plain with no swag
flash 22 because of the coach
That’s debatable with the current Alabama run. 5 titles already could easily been 6, “1 second pick play”. Since 2008, with exception of 2010, they have been in or in contention for a national title every year. True Alabama got destroyed last year in the title game, but Miami also got pounded in the 92 title game by Alabama. I won’t mention the 12 before Saban got there. I’m sure if I looked, I could break out stats comparable or better than the stats listed on the video. It’s all open to interpretation. As far as national titles and years taken to win, Miami takes second. Oh and Alabama’s run is still going strong.
flash 22 Alabama has played in 7. Would’ve played Florida state in 2013 if not for a fluky kick six field goal return against Auburn, Lost in a semi final to OSU in 14. Alabama could just as easily have won 6 titles and played for 9 since 2008. Instead they’ve won 5 played in 7.
I cried watching this
Boy, I forgot how tight and fast as Testeverde was when he threw the ball!!
This video had me weak ... I love my Canes #ItsGreatToBeAMiamiHurricane
I'm telling you mark is bringing us back this happend in the 90s and it happens a year ago but we're comin back baby it's all about the u baby
Team should watch this before every practice and every game
@@patrickhubbard7370 mark never did good sadly
We need an update to this video please. Add some of the recent success!! This is great!!!
From cali BUT Forever and always a canes fan . McGahee Portis AD Vilma Mckinney. And the GREATEST Sean Taylor.
First Canes' game I watched was against The "Boz" Sooners. I became a DIE HARD fan ever since.
RIP SEAN TAYlOR
What Muhammad Ali was to boxing the canes are to college football, proud and loud its what we are hated by many loved by few respected by all.
I swear golden needs to sit his damn team down right now and show them this video. The players don't realize who they are playing for. We lost our passion and our swagger. If we ever want to become the dynasty we once were, we need players and coaches who only want to win.
ItsAllAboutTheU98 Folden needs to sit his OWN ass down and watch this film.
AMEN
This video bring tears to my eyes every time I watch it...CANE 4 LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every program has their down years! Miami has been down since about 2005 but they will be back! #TheresonlyoneU
I am not at all a football fan but after i saw the ESPN 30 for 30 on the U sold.
All bout the []_[]...19 haters still couldn't resist watching
Jerome Brown started the run on the best DT at the U. It's great to be s Miami Hurricane
Agreed. RIP the late Jerome Brown.
Jerome Brown and Ted Hendricks would be the ends on Miamis all time defensive line.
Amongst very good company.
2001 roster was the most talented of all time. All said and done could be 4 hall of famers , and a shit ton. Look it up Its actually pretty amazing how talent that team had.
These times will never happen again ! Miami fans need to appreciate how great these teams were !
The U. The most dominating and intimidating college football program of all time!
Man, I grew up in Miami spoiled with Legends like Ed Reed, Shockey, Clinton Portis, Vilma, Sean Taylor, Andre Johnson, Edgerrin James, etc. I had to stop because I could go on and on about the legends that played during the 2nd golden age of the U. Many people are wondering why Miami has fallen off, the answer is quite simple. There has been sort of a brain drain or talent drain in Miami. There was a time when all the top tier talent from the Miami-Dade/Broward/Palm Beach county areas all went to Miami. Now these players are lured to play for other teams that promise them a chance to play right out of the gate. Think about how many great players that played for Miami that had to wait their turn, e.g., Michael Irvin, Willis McGahee, etc. These players don't want to wait their turn and they're not staying home.
And shalalala plus golden
+nomibe2911 Everyday I drive down Pembroke Road and see young kids practicing and I think to myself how many of them will be future Canes.
rip Sean Taylor. we will be back on the top next season. i know that for sure. Go Miami Hurricanes. undefeated 2016
Rest In Peace Sean Taylor 🙏🏽❤️
The video that I watch every off-season!! Canes fan FOR LIFE hoping we get back to this level VERY soon.
GOOSE BUMPS GOOD!!🙌🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
So many legends. RIP Sean Taylor. They had some of the greatest to ever do it, at any level! They should show this to every incoming freshman.
One of the best video and the greatest team ever
What made Miami great, schematically, they were one of few teams EVER, that could dominate games running, passing, and on special teams. Defensively, they were built to stop ANYONE in the country from Nebraska's option, to FSU's spread fast break offense. Culturally they changed a generation. The "swag" that people refered to was organic not manufactured, its was South Florida's football culture!!!! Lastly, what I endear probably the most is that, they knew talent!!!! On a regular basis, they would overlook a "5 star" player and go to a "3 star" player because they sincerely evaluated him on whether he could fit into thier system, i.e. Santana Moss. Arguably the best football program EVER!!!! THANK YOU.
Even Ed Reed was a two star.
I cried.
I can't wait for this upcoming season, and the repeat of all the greatness on this video.
I can't wait until I can tell my kids I took a class with the GOAT, Duke Johnson.
I can't wait.
LEGENDARY SWAGGER 4 EVER AND ALWAYS WILL BE HURRICANES .......THE U FAMILY
Great job canefreek2001, you're right, greatest video of all-time!!! I'm freaking pumped up now myself!! Anybody looking for a 58 year old with a broken foot and a broken back?? If so, I'm that guy!!
GO CANES!!!
gets me every time. well done canesfreak
It was always the []_[] verse the world and my favorite was Hills famous 6 shooter celebration lmmfao!!!!!!and the extinguisher incident with our mascot hahahahaha brings happy tears of joys to my eyes :-D
The Michael Barrow hit at 10:58 on Vanover is filthy. Barrow, Smith and Arrmstead were the nastiest lb's at Miami
+OmarsDad Ray Lewis...?
+Michael Seckman Ray wasn't on team in '92. I was speaking on the LB Corp as a whole, not single players.
The Bermuda Triangle Baby!
Perhaps also a guy named Ray Lewis.
Why do I cry every time I watch these Hurricanes videos!!!!!!!!!
What's so special about Miami is how the Canes made plays!
Watching the massive achievements of these Coral Gables legends knowing we're merely settling for "competent" is a Greek tragedy man. How long will it take for the U's ascension?
Never gets old. Happy opening day, everyone!!! C-A-N-E-S, CANESSSSSS
We are on the way back!
Most players in the NFL, says it all baby, GO Canes.
Who’s here 2020 getting chills🤧
we playing louisville today hopefully we win and this video gives me the chills bro
Because even when we lose, they say we're the best. Canes 3 years in a row.
This video gives me goosebumps and makes me emotional..go canes forever 🙌🏾
C.A.N.E.S. its all about the u baby
Reppin the U up her in North Carolina
Like Ed Reed said, "They don't like us, so we go to Miami. But they want to be us because of how much work we put in!'" that's real, no cap!
Should have been 7 national titles. This video gets me jacked up. I would give my left arm to be on that field. I was fortunate enough to have seen 2 of these games that's in this video. I bleed orange and green. GO CANES ! Cat 5.
Absolutely the best video of the canes. I remember almost all of those highlights. It was very emotional watching all those plays. RIP Sean Taylor.
Nothing more proud to see the canes rise from the ashes again. Cane4life
The Orange Bowl was incredible. Glad they tore one of the best college venues in history down for an overpriced stadium for one of the shittiest MLB teams in the league.
Matt Buck
Man! very nicely said..smh
"Historic"
Imagine how epic they could’ve made the OB with all that $dough$
I got more than just chills on this. I actually teared up with joy watching this! I've been a Cane ever since I was 4 (I'm 31 now) RIP to Sean Taylor! I love how you included last years baby canes and finished with some more Taylor highlights to close it out. This video should be in the hall of fame. Thanks bro!
this really is the greatest miami hurricanes video i have ever seen. amazing job @canebreak2001
I feel lucky to have been a fan of all these teams!! Without a doubt the greatest 20 year run in college football!! 1983-2003!! Canes4life! Great video
you need to update this man I watch it every year around this time to get pumped up! love it keep up the great work!
The memories are just that now. Miami will never be back.
Im a die hard FSU fan and i will say i have the utmost respect for the hurricanes..that 01 hurricanes team was The Best College Football Team Ever!!!
The Hurricanes really won 20 Championships if you count all the years they were cheated by the refs. Notre Dame beat Alabama, Penn St and Nebraska should have been both champions 1 year. Oregon should have 2 more championships, and Auburn should have 1 more. Alot of cheating in sports, kind of like relationships in life.
I totally agree 👍 Kudos to you bro.
I've watched this so many times . I almost tear up every time
watch this at least twice a year, boy I can't wait.
man I been a cane since I was about 8 yrs old. this has to be the greatest canes video of all time. I still remember my first canes game at the orange bowl. watching the late great SEAN TAYLOR almost makes me cry but I can say I was proud to see him wear the "U" on his helmet. awesome video my kids will see this video and see why where a canes family.
I remember being in the stands when Randal Hill caught that 3rd and way long!! 2:01 mark
M Falcon me too. I was young. I was 8 and sitting on the westside endzone. Crowd went wild
The look on Bobby Bowden' s face when dude missed that fg was classic.
I was at that game it was amazing
It's all about the U, it will always be about this U! We coming back boys 2016 watch. #KaayaHeisman
AFGaming we have a team just stupid play calling has cost us these loses. we should be undefeated
we do have a team but Kaaya fucked his shoulder up early and that loss to FSU
AFGaming U family Subscribe to my channel and be entertained
It feels good to know that I wasn't the only one who cried when I saw this video UM for life
I was a student at FSU in 2000, and worked at the Gateway Country computer store. I had to work the Saturday of the UM-FSU game in Miami. I thought it was over after one employee came in and told me the score. So I go on my lunch break, turn the radio on, and the Canes are marching down the field. I couldn't believe the score. Then I hear Shockey catch the TD, and I RAN into the store, yelling "Canes won!, Canes won!". No one believed me. They had to go to the back and look online. They were in shock. I went to FSU, but I never stopped being a Canes fan. I'd wear Canes shirts, hats to class! LOL. No one ever tried me. Just got some looks. I sat in the FSU student section for the 2001 BEAT-DOWN we gave the Noles, wearing my Canes gear, with two other dudes from Miami sitting next to me. They both had played football at Northwestern and were NOT the type of dudes you messed with, so we just celebrated and celebrated surrounded by Noles that entire afternoon. One of my favorite football memories ever. Go Canes! Oh, and thank you FSU for my degree.
Really happy to see that Winslow catch against WVU. one of my favorite plays of all time. I was the only Canes fan in a bar when that play happened and it went dead silent after that catch. great comeback and thanks for putting it in there.
We gotta beat ND this weekend.
Flew in from CA just to watch this game. Boy did our CANES deliver! 41-8 baby!
That tailgate in the green lot was crazy
History repeats it's self. Every power house has their down time. We will be back on top. GO Canes!!!
So much memories from the OB when I was 7 yrs old I’m 30 now. Didn’t know who I was watching then but godamn do I know now ❤ the best teams to ever do it
THE 2001 MIAMI HURRICANES❤
Powerful stuff man. Love my Canes and always will.
After our loss tonight I really needed this
We are back! 🙌 THE U
@@doodootrophy We are on the way back, Watch and see.
From the early 80s to the early 2000's the U was something very special.. Miss those days of dominance.
