Chris Rix was Miami's best QB of the decade. He had some of the best passes you'll ever see, right on the money to guys like Ed Reed and Sean Taylor. Man he was great.
These highlights are ridiculous! I used not like Miami when I was a teen back in the 90's but that all changed when in '01 when they played Nebraska for the national title! Hands down the Hurricanes made themselves a watchable team! For yrs I had no idea players like: Vilma,E.James,A.Johnson,and C.Portis came out of Miami! Good highlights thanks for sharing!
I WISH the spread offense was popular when Ken Dorsey was drafted or another QB friendly offense that would help him make a team. I know the 2001 and 2002 team was loaded with talent but that kid could ball!!! It still baffles me why he didn't have a productive NFL career.
That year we had 2 guys Willis and Ken in the top 5.. You have to think that if one or the other wasn't there either ken or willis would have take the trophy
You realize Crouch was in a triple option offense, correct? Also the number of passing yards aren't even close to indicative of what Crouch's skills and achievements were. If passing yards were the standard of a Heisman winning QB, then every Texas Tech QB in the last 20 years were be walking the stage in New York.
Lots of people forget that Brock Berlin come back against UF. One of the greatest games I ever went to at the Orange Bowl. I loved seeing him do the gaytor chomp in front of their marching band at the end of the game.
Andre Johnson vs Nebraska and this past season Devonta Smith vs Ohio State are the most dominant performances by a wideout in a title game. People forget Andre did it before Devonta.
Don't want to turn this into a debate because that stuff is counterproductive, but I've always found it funny that people don't acknowledge the importance of Portis' 2001 BC Game more. What a beast that dude was for our program at that time. Dude always played like he had something to prove. The 2001 formula was all heart. We're missing that at UM right now and I hope Golden's the guy to get us there.
If Jacory would have had a better career the game against fsu in 09 would have been higher. Honestly... that game against fsu was one of the best games I have ever seen
Testing, testing, is this thing on... I pray that you are watching this Coach Manny Diaz. We NEED to be 'the team to beat again'. Move us forward... The 🙌
Kellens Performance against WV was unreal.....But i'd have to say Berlins win over the GAYturds in 03 in the OB is my favorite! The announcer was talkin shit sayin the Canes time at the top was done (*Even Though It Was*) but it wasnt over that night! What about Gores Performance aganist FSU in 04?? GO CANES!

I'd say it deserved more than an honorable mention..
he's the reason we won that game.
the boy McGahee pre-knee injury was a beast
vitaminwater2221 Frank Gore too
On #3, only 2 people could have walked on that much water: Jesus and Sean Taylor
Regardless who was number#1 or who you think should had been number one O' man that was some great highlights. It doesn't matter who is number 1
I was at the ‘03 FSU game in the monsoon. Sean literally took the game over from the S position. He was everywhere.
Hester's game against Louisville deserved an honorable mention at least, in my opinion.
Great video though.
#3 is #1 in my memory. Will never forget being there to witness that performance
Those UM teams from between 1998 - 2003 were unbelievable. The talent was unreal. Such great great times. THE U, ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.
I WISH the spread offense was popular when Ken Dorsey was drafted or another QB friendly offense that would help him make a team. I know the 2001 and 2002 team was loaded with talent but that kid could ball!!! It still baffles me why he didn't have a productive NFL career.
klaw547 He went to the Browns
I can't believe that Dorsey wasn't the selection for the Heisman!? He got robbed!
That year we had 2 guys Willis and Ken in the top 5.. You have to think that if one or the other wasn't there either ken or willis would have take the trophy
Crouch got it. He only had 4,481 yards passing in 4 years while Dorsey passed for 3,369 that year. It was a robbery.
we had to much talent it hurt him
You realize Crouch was in a triple option offense, correct? Also the number of passing yards aren't even close to indicative of what Crouch's skills and achievements were.

2.Edgerrin James
3.Sean Taylor
4.Warren Sapp
5.Vinny Testaverde
1. Jerome Brown
2. Ed Reed
3. Sean Taylor
4. Michael Irvin
5. Willis McGahee
Lineman should get an honorable mention..
You must be a lineman... You're right though...
Andre Johnson vs Nebraska and this past season Devonta Smith vs Ohio State are the most dominant performances by a wideout in a title game. People forget Andre did it before Devonta.

Honorable mention. 1998 nate webster vs west virginia.
the block by the running back in the second play hella sick
EDGE AND PORTIS!!!!
If Jacory would have had a better career the game against fsu in 09 would have been higher. Honestly... that game against fsu was one of the best games I have ever seen
Nice list.....I would have included Kellen Winslow vs. OSU
You didnt show the Brock Berlin chop after the game!!! Great vid as always
I woulda figured the devin Hester Louisville game woulda made it. Edgerin James did that in 1999
RIP Sean Taylor
Kellen Winslow performance in the Fiesta Bowl or the West Virginia game in 2003 has to be on the list in my opinion
wat about lamar miller against ohio st or VT he dominated those games
LOVED IT!!!
I like how Brock Berlin is a totally different QB once he is in the shotgun lol.
WHATCH BOYZ THATS HOW THE HURRICANES PLAY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ken dorsey knocking off the noles in 2000 should have been up there for sure
Thats right...lets go canes!!!
The U, 30 for 30.
Testing, testing, is this thing on... I pray that you are watching this Coach Manny Diaz. We NEED to be 'the team to beat again'. Move us forward... The 🙌
Oh, how I miss seeing single digit numbers next to Miami's name. Hell, I'd settle for ANY number right now.
*sigh*
lol great vid but at 3:50 rick rolled lol sorta funny.
Man I was pissed when Sean Taylor didn't win the Thrope Award!
@bu115fan23 yeah i agree! idk why he put James when that was in 98.. not the same decade
Damn it's been so long I forgot what a real football team looks like
How many punt returners did Miami have this year?
I am not a Hurricanes fan in the slightest but Brock Berlin was the start of the downfall for them
TheCaptainchaffing Coach Larry Cocker was the downfall, the talent was there. The coaching was horrible.
@GDMCane305 ya i can watch those games all day
its all about the []_[].
always producin the most pros.
Hester game should be one im sry if it wasnt for him we dont win
2000s was a tough time to be a Cane fan. Besides 01-02 teams, pretty bland. Hoping Golden can make 2010's memorable
GO CANES!
How bout them Canes
these boys put the [[_]] on they back thooo
Surprised that Sean Taylor dominating FSU wasnt number 1
Go Canes!!
miss drm canes
Putting Jacory Harris in the same field as Clinton Portis and other Miami legends is just dumb.
Winslow
Doing time
List loses all credibility when you don't include Korky Freeman's magnificence against NCST.
Kirby freeman?
@miacanes5 i agree completely. i will never forget where i was while watching that performance.. completely shitted on fsu
Edge.
@robmatliv I'm debating on whether I should spare you the definition of sarcasm or not.
Nebraska is NU, not UN lol
@OneBernardo Kirbnoyl
Nebraska is NU
JH was a joke
Nebraska is NU
