Sigh. I’m finding ants in the playroom. Not in my kitchen. I’ve been cleaning, sweeping and spraying white vinegar and water and they are always there. 😳 I’ve searched my kitchen and can’t find them. Sigh. I’m at my whits end. I feel like the WORST housekeeper in the world.
As many videos that I have searched about ants...you are the first to really give answers related to my issue!! My question is how do we know we have a good exterminator who knows what he is doing? Had a couple in an old house when I also had ants and nothing of what you talked about. Now in another house with a window above the sink/second story but a deck right outside so just all you talked about.
If you check out my Amazon page at www.amazon.com/shop/greenakerspestcontrolllc I have pesticides for ants listed there and you can always ask your pest control company if they are using any of these things
my aunts are coming up from underneath the house. I live in a modular with skirting around it and they are somewhere under the house. They have been in every single room and I put ant killer down and it gets rid of them out of that room, then they show up in another room.
My go-to product is Spectre PS. It is a non-repellent and it works wonders as a crack/crevice for ants in the kitchen or anywhere. It does have a smell but it will dissipate once the product dries. I have been in pest control for 12 years in southeast Virginia where ants are the number one call. Edit-Always go by the label!
I just sprayed the crevass of my kitchen sink and them ants came flying out! Lol. This helped me so much. Thank you! I will be using the chemicals you suggested.
Finally found a video that I can THANK you on! (I tried with others on the live replay). Anywhoo...I bought a house about 3 years ago and at first was fine, then the ants...not too bad. 3 years later (now in the middle of Winter) I am being invaded, but thanks to you I used a flashlight and looked under my sink and found the nest. I used your trick of looking for water leaks and then used the only thing I had on hand which was nail polish remover and WOW they "remove" from that very quick which helped me find where they were, etc...thank you again, great advice and information 😁😁😁❤❤❤
Informative video I sent it to my work group chat. We are currently using bifen around the exterior and a common question from customers is “you were just here for our service why do we have ants” I’ve read somewhere ants have built up a resistance to bifen over the years with it being a common product. Thoughts?
Great video. Learned a shit ton of stuff I didn’t even think I’d need, but definitely glad to have this info in my arsenal! I’m thinking I have grease/protein/thief ants. I’ve heard them called a lot of things. They won’t touch sugary stuff- they’re going for the cat food mostly. How can I tell if they’re tiny carpenter ants or the ones I mentioned? Will the little carpenter ants eat the same foods? I’m completely overwhelmed trying to keep up with my mom’s dilapidated home 😢She passed last month and this place is outta control 🥺
Ants will go after whatever the colony needs…sometimes they need protein and other times they need more carbs like sugar. One way to tell what kind of ant it is, is to smush an ant and see if it smells oddly sweet or like citronella
Not all baits are the same. It is easiest to notice this phenomenon at the bait station itself. They will come to it but not take anything from it and eventually won’t come to it at all
Ours are in the wall of an attacked porch with no foundation. Last year we had the exterminator in for tiny red ants. This year after 2' of rain, here comes tiny black ants. Its rental and encloses. Killed everyone and now i need to seal under the window. Using traps, but havents seen any for 2 days. Waiting for another attack, then will pay for exterminator this time. I bake on this counter. Im sure things get under that window! Sugar, probably. No where else to base, so this may be an ongoing issue. Last year they were running to the sink during a hot dry spell. This year, they're probably using a canoe!!
I just saw your reply (I don’t always receive the email notifications). Thanks! You are the best source of pest control information that I’ve ever come across! I just started watching your mouse videos, very interesting! Thanks again...
The ants I just discovered aren't interested in food! Why would ants be in the kitchen and they're not after food? They are "big", black & red in colour.
@@GreenAkersPC Of course but they're nowhere near the sink where water can accumulate. I left a plate out from dinner without rinsing and a plastic cup with water. They're not interested. WT heck? They are not even making a trail to the trash can.
How do I get rid ants in my bathtub and sink drains. I'm in a second floor condo in a brick slab building. I clean my drains twice a day with vinegar and baking soda but they keep coming.

That explains that after doing dishes I find ants on me. I'm going to check now.
as a renter who developed an ant problem, I sealed all visible cracks in baseboards, etc. with clear packing tape

Never heard of ants building resistance to any pesticide. They will avoid it though
Holy crap, the ants are smarter than us

Awesome!
Im gonna buy an ant farm and test whether they can recognize and discard ant bait.....very intriguing.

Ants drink water too

There’s something they are eating but either way just treat them and be so done with the problem
My question is do they come from the outside Do they live in the walls. Does it do roaches too
I’m being invaded by ants in my toilet water tank. In my other bathroom I noticed them coming up from under the toilet. What the heck?
This happens all the time. A lot of times it’s because it’s a concrete floor but I’ve seen it on framed floors too

I think they’re living in my cement walls. Styracrete” a combination of styrofoam and cement with a concrete core..
Will ants make you sick if you have them in your house? I don't see the point in killing them unlike cockroaches
Were you thinking of eating a few?
@@GreenAkersPC hahaha!
We say tiny ants.We realized ants were coming through a tiny hole in the wall
Does this also keeps Ant-Man out of my house?
YES!
Awesome!
Btw, I find your videos quite helpful and entertaining. I hope you make some more in the future.
Eeeeeew
