Let's start by understanding how German cockroaches behave
German cockroaches are scavengers and will feed on many foods. They are attracted to starches, sweets, grease, and meat products however garbage is a principal food source since the are omnivorous, eating table scraps, pet food, and even book bindings. German cockroaches are mostly active at night, when they forage for food, water, and mates this is why you see them scatter when you turn on the lights.
During the day they prefer to hide in cracks and crevices and other dark sites that provide warmth and humidity this is why you will find them primarily in your kitchen and baths. Their wide flat bodies enable them to move in and out of cracks and narrow openings with ease. The presence of them during the daytime, indicate a heavy population is present.
German Cockroaches spread several forms of gastroenteritis food poisoning, dysentery, diarrhea, and other illnesses, cockroaches carry the organisms that cause these diseases on their legs and bodies depositing them on food and utensils as the cockroaches forage. The cockroach’s excrement and cast skins also contain a number of allergens to which a great many people have allergic responses to, such as skin rashes, watery eyes and sneezing, congestion of nasal passages, and asthma.
They were most likely introduced by something that was brought in like furniture, paper or boxes. Every time I get a call from someone that has a German cockroach infestation they tell me they don’t know why they have them they keep their home very clean I have to play the detective in order to find the source so I ask three questions. When did you first notice them? Did you buy or bring in any new furniture or items into the home? Have you brought any boxes in? They will think back and say yea it was about the same time as I! And there you have it. Corrugated Boxes are by far the worst, when people move they go to the grocery store or go dumpster diving for free boxes to move all their stuff and inevitably bring home a box infested with roaches between the corrugate and they will start to hatch in their new home!
Why insecticide sprays are ineffective in controlling German cockroaches and why you should avoid using them.
Most over the counter insecticide sprays are contact sprays that belong to a class of insecticides known as pyrethroids that kill the roach on contact and have little residual effects, pyrethroids by nature have a repellent action so the insects can detect it and either hide or go around it, so if you spray a pyrethroid you killed that roach most likely a male forger and are causing the others to hide until the residual is gone but the females the eggs and the nymphs are still alive and thriving.
Why baits are the most effective method to control German Cockroaches
Modern bait formulations have been used successfully to control infestations of the German cockroach, Because of the slow-acting insecticides used in most bait formulations, unmetabolized insecticide may be excreted in the feces and oral secretions, and remain in the body of dead cockroaches. Becouse of two habits of German Cockroaches Coprophagy (consumption of feces) and necrophagy (the consumption of cadavers) a process known as Horizontal transfer of bait when nymphs take up adult-delivered bait via coprophagy resulting in secondary mortality.
    How cockroach baits work
Horizontal transfer of insecticides occurs when active ingredients contained within baits are passed among individuals within an insect population. Active members of a population or foraging adults, become exposed to an insecticide, return to the nest and pass the insecticide to other members of the population that often cannot feed independently, the recipients may obtain the insecticide directly from the donors through mutual grooming, trophallaxis, necrophagy. Trophallaxis is the transfer of food or other fluids among members of a community through mouth-to-mouth (stomodeal) or anus-to-mouth (proctodeal) feeding.
First we perform a thorough inspection of the facility we are treating preferably with the lights OFF and using a good flashlight to identify the nesting sites. They prefer cracks and crevices where they can have three parts of their body touching a surface German

I tried to get rid of my moms roach problem for over a year and nothing worked. Bombed her house several times, put out tons and tons of roach bait, bought roach spray, etc. The ONLY thing that worked was this Advion stuff. I would highly recommend it to anyone!! I used the tube and gel baits both. Put the stuff out once then later saw some babies. Put a little more of the advion out again and it killed those too. Have not seen a roach in going on 3 years!

To anyone having this problem please, please, please give this product a try. I had a infestation problem due to my neighbors. I used the product and within a couple days I noticed I didn't see as many. Within 2 weeks the problem was almost gone . I'm so excited because I even stopped having company out of embarrassment. I am extremely clean. Thanks for this amazing video.

This annihilated my elderly mom's roach infestation. I'm mean not a single roach survived and it's been over a year. It's like the apocalypse for roaches.

I can highly recommend this product. I had whole bunch of Roaches In my kitchen dining room and living room . I was killing about 20 plus Roaches every day specially in the middle of the night until my friend told me to use Advion and I got rid of it most of them within 2 weeks thankfully. I have tried so many different products but nothing worked, it was just wasting time, money and Roaches just multiply so fast. My advice to you is to use Advion Follow the instruction and you will definitely see the result.

If you see them more often after applying, no need to worry. If their behavior is a little off, it’s normal. Just means they’ve become infected with the gel and are now on their way to infect the colony :)

Dang I put too many little drops in my kitchen 😅 I used a whole tube for my kitchen only. I just moved in two days ago and this is my first time having roaches in my home. I’m disgusted

This stuff is for real! Don't waste money on sprays, bombs, or professional services. I recommend this to anyone who mentions roach issues. It takes about 3 days to see the vast majority of roaches dead and about 1 week to see no living roaches in your home. I reapply immediately if I ever see any new roaches pop up.

Very helpful, thank you!!! I had a professional service do this in my apartment a couple of years ago. They too treated all the hinges. The gel really worked and it's way less mess and smell than a spray. I bought the tubes on line, and now I feel confident on how to use it. :)

Dude. Your videos give me hope. I already purchased many of the products from another one of your videos. Roaches give me anxiety. But no joke, I felt hope as soon as I watched your videos.

This is such a great thorough video about applying the Advion gel bait. I wish I would have found this video before starting to apply because I ended up wasting a tube without knowing these application strategies. I will definitely follow these steps in my next application.
