Applying boric acid is far better than calling an exterminator for countless applications.
Moved into a new apartment and had a huge roach problem on the top floor. The apartment office sent an exterminator three or four times and I kept seeing him every early morning when I would get up. Several months went by and still was able to see roaches every day. Did some research and went and bought some boric acid put it behind the microwave and down beside the stove and behind the refrigerator and poof! I never saw a roach again for 6 years.

Me too!! I literally can guarantee that this got rid of roach infestation in my apartment 45 years ago. I never saw a roach again during my residency in a roach infested apartment building. Boric acid was in my cabinets, baseboards , under sinks……it seriously eradicated any and all roaches. Price of it was extremely inexpensive years ago but now it can be pricey.

I've used the boric acid mixed with boiled eggs and sugar, using one cup of work as I can one cup of sugar and for hard-boiled eggs only the yellow, and we didn't see a roach for about 3 weeks, nowhere, and then all of a sudden we started seeing brand new baby ones, how is it that you know when they are completely gone if you don't see them for a while and then they pop up again how do you know if they're going to pop up or not how is it that you know that you have ended the roach infestation by using this homemade remedy?

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I've read the bottle and thought I was just putting down dust sparingly, but now I know exactly how sparingly. My home was infested with roaches #before I moved in, but I still see one here and there at night. So I just make sure there's no clutter in my home, food stays in the kitchen, dishes washed throughout the day and empty the trash every night. It's been 3 years and I've been able to keep the bugs away on my own so far.

I had roaches once in the kitchen of an apartment I rented once. It was gross. Thankfully it was a 1-BR and they were only in the kitchen. I'd come home from work every day and spray roach killer all over the kitchen. Take out all the drawers and spray the cabinets hoping I was not poisoning myself. Eventually i got rid of them, or at least they were scared enough to stay out of sight.
I remember I'd be sitting in the living room or at the dining room table and my eye got trained to notice their little creepy antenna's as they would crawl around and come into view. I'd immediately jump up and spray.

Way before youtube, boric acid has been the mainstay on keeping roaches out of live aboard boats. Make a little paste with it, put it in beer caps, strategically place, and roaches are gone. The only difference is you'd learn all these life hacks from the dude sitting next to you at the bar, not the dude on your computer.

Thanks for the information and instructions on how to apply Boric Acid with the Duster . This is our first time doing this ourselves. Although we have not so far had any bugs, ants or roach problems in our home. We decided to be one step ahead BEFORE they do become uninvited guests into the home. That Duster made It so easy to apply the Boric Acid without making a mess. I remember growing up seeing my grandparents applying Boric Acid around their house inside and outside. My grandpa would say '' This the kind of stuff you use to keep uninvited or unwanted guests out your house''.
We not only applied Boric Acid in crack and crevices but as you instructed especially in places that are hot or warm (kitchen , laundry room, appliances, Family Boat, Lakehouse) etc. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING INFORMATION!!!!! great point. The first time I saw live bedbugs rushing in and out of a guy's shirt collars at a waiting room in a clinic made me stop and look before I sit anywhere in public places ie on buses, benches etc. I used to think that bedbugs only stay in dark places, but seeing those juicy well fed bedbugs on that day in daylight convinced me that those blood suckers could be anywhere and they are so difficult to get rid of. Apparently bedbugs can live as long as 6 to 12 months without eating, so one can imagine the trauma coming back to your home after one year to encounter these blood suckers alive again.@@gIozell1

Much respect to you Sir. Ty for your honesty.
It's easy to get roaches and I think that there is generally such a social stigma surrounding them that many are embarrassed about an infestation and don't tell/warn others. (Which of course inadvertently causes infestations to spread from one location to another.)
Many think that those who have roaches are just dirty/unclean, lower-income sorts but I'm betting you have customers from all walks and from all brackets of the socioeconomic spectrum am I right?
It's applaudable to me that you do this channel because many in your profession would NOT. (due to reasons of job security )

I watched a lot of video's and yours was by far the best. I never really had a roach problem until I started renting a room out of my house. It was the worse thing I ever did . A long with not paying rent that person could of brought roaches into my house with his stuff. The stress of having a parasite in my house, and am talking about the renter, was bad enough. Getting a roach problem after kicking him out terrified me. There is one other thing I got from another video is (I live in Florida by the way) that they like humidity . Like an idiot I change my thermostat setting from 77 degrees to 81 degrees . Keeping it colder in the house i think also helps . The reason I changed thermostat setting is my electric bill went to 272 dollars for a small house.

In the mid 70’s my grandparents had roaches in their house and mostly in the kitchen. They didn’t speak English but one day they got this white powder and put around the wall edges. And a few weeks later, we didn’t have roaches anymore. I don’t know what it was called but it had a food smell to it (pre mixed Boric Acid?).
Anyway,, I now find roaches in the bathroom and I suspect they are coming from the electrical fan/vent. So I got some boric acid and put directly on the wall edges and put plastic over the electrical vent last night.

Ok so my grandmother has been fighting bed bugs for almost 2 years , the trailer she lives in they have a guy come out that's supposedly spraying growth regulators, bed bugs have gotten better but not gone so ordering crossfire ! Now she also has i believe German roaches, I watched another video about roach resistance & wondering anything to use on both or should I start with crossfire and alpine wsg then next treatment for roaches do a bait ? She's 87 & losing her ever-loving mind and I know she's not comfortable living with both of those bugs so at the point we'll try anything, also if we treat on our own should pest guy still continue to spray whatever it is he even uses for the last 2 years for bedbugs and 6 months for roaches ! It's crazy how uniformed this guy is he tried to tell me they don't become resistant 🙄🙄 and to just move her cardboard boxes off the floor 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ telling ya , we're dealing with a dumb dumb !

You said boric acid must stay dry to work. Some comments say mixed with honey, made a paste, and works, so i guess varies maybe, depending on your circumstances. I've never had a roach problem but I do find that both borax and boric acid work on ants. But like the guy said, use sparingly. You don''t need a mountain of it.

Do you know what kind? I am on Amazon and most of them say they are for diatomatious earth dusting. Are they same. I don't know which I am more afraid of the Boric Acid or the roaches. I don't have roaches yet, but I've seen some outside and I want to be sure to get them before they try to get inside.

I have a question. I have heard that mixing boric acid with a little sugar will attract the roaches. Should I try this? I have roaches extremely bad. I will try out what you're talking about.

    • @mr-toyota
      @mr-toyota 8 месяцев назад +1

No. Will it work? Yes. But you will also douse your house with sugar. Try Intice 10. It’s a stronger boric acid than you can buy elsewhere and it is premixed with fats, oils, and proteins. The food lure is already there. Its composition will make it durable to the elements and perfect for nooks and crannies in your home.
