Worked perfectly for me when all the others on RUclips failed. My hat is off to you and your sources. I hate it when a company tells me that I have to use a certain item or application when I own the games in question and have since the day they were released. I have been using Origin to run these games from day one and never had any problems with it. I cannot say the same for EA and its junk app. Having said that I'm sure EA will come up with a workaround for this as well, si it's good to hear that your going to stay on top of it and adjust accordingly. 👍👍👍👍👍

This worked fine at first. But then I tried to login in offline mode after a while and it still tried to launch via the EA app which popped up with the same "credentials not found" message. In any event, I have absolutely no plans to spend another red cent with Electronic Arts. Pure garbage.
@@ModernGXI My main gripe is EA app not having a dedicated offline mode. You have to constantly sign in every 2 seconds in order to have access to games. I also think following previous methods of downloading Origin and putting files from unknown sources on my PC may have put malware on it. I'm down listening to Origin workarounds until someone comes up with a method to hack purchased EA games to get rid of the launcher completely.

TYVM. All they needed to do was fix the crashing and let us disable cloud saves and I wouldn't need to resort to this. It still sucks but is leagies better than the EA crApp.

Unfortunately this doesn't work anymore.... I guess EA just found a way to screw us again and override this! I am so mad!!!! came back from holidays and when I tried opening origin to play my sims it says an error as occurred, must uptade Origin and even tough it has an option to continue offline, it doesn't let you log in... I have tried everything...doing this all over again...system restore, etc.... nothing! I hope you find a way around this one. It worked great before, but now.... this is desperate
It does seem as EA pushed another patch against this. Though origin still seems to work for those who also used the previous fix on my channel that disables updates. If I'll find another fix I'll be sure to put it in a pinned comment here and maybe even make another video.
Hay what going on I set it up the way you said then I tryed to load Orign, but then it went into error mode the only way I can load it is to go off line. Origin said "Sorry for the inconvenience, but we had to disconnect you because a mandatory update went live. using EA app on Steam Deck. It was a pain in the butt. I can't use any buttons on the steam deck, I have to use my finger to use the mouse or press anything on the screen. But I have been able to launch the app from Steam and I use it to play the Sims 4. It actually works pretty well. So far..

This "fix" is flagged as a virus by my security software, and I'm not taking chances after the Origin hack. I'm not interested in online play, so I'll wait for EA Add Offline Mode in EA App ✌✌❤❤

@@ModernGXI I have some problems with frosty mod manager. For NFS rivals, it works just fine. For payback, heat and unbound, it says that the sdk is out of date. It tells me to open the game through origin and to let it create the sdk. I do just that, but it fails at the last task "creating sdk". So the game either does not launch at all or does launch without mods. I have tried the standsrd troubleshooting solutions (running as admin, using different versions of frosty and the games , including the latest versions of both, disabling antivirus and firewall, using datapath fix, using frostyfix, using an injector to forcefully make it work, etc). I am honestly out of ideas. Do you know where i could get new sdks for those games? Or how to fix those existing ones?
If your origin works, the tutorial worked, I don't think I'm able to help you further unfortunately. Best I can do is tell you to try and reinstall or search around the internet

You should be able to simply log into the account you made on EA app since they are the same thing.
