It was cool to open Warhammer community and see your model front and center. You deserve it man cheers Vince
Much appreciated!
POW! It's Vincent in the house conducting his business and I'm watching it and nothing will stop me
It's always fun to watch a video in acrylics and try work out what steps can be done with oils. Feel like the armour can be largely done with prussion blue pre-glaze, then prussian blue shadows, radiant turqoise highlights and fudge between them. Drybrush step would just have to be skipped, or done a couple of days later in acyrlics. The fur drybrush works exactly the same, so that's cool. The skin is obviously a dream with oils, who needs thin glazes and effort? :P
Sometimes it's frustrating - I absolutely adore that blue armour and want to replicate it, and I find myself torn between acyrlic and oils. I'm loving oils, but I'm no Wappel and at times I want to throw it all in the bin lol
I knew exactly what you meant when you said you have been painting something "big" you cannot talk about! Thanks very much for the video!
Unbelievable! Absolutely stunning work! An entire army of big pigs painted by you would be sick!
Hello Vince! Thank you for your videos. It's always a pleasure watching you and your minis.
Looks Great, 👍👍👍
damn vince really getting your money worth out of those gloves :D
We should have known this was the project Vince was working on! Let’s goooo!!!!
BIG PIG! love that armour colour.
Vince I'm kicking myself for not reaching out to you after a painting class i took of yours at pax 2023 for a pic and autograph.
I cant thank you enough for the time and commitment you put into all these videos and your classes. Maybe this year at pax i wont be such a wuss at adepticon 😊
This looks crazy good Vince 😍Such a fan of all the little details like rust, streaks and battle damage. I need to implement more of this in my army
Amazing Vince. So much to absorb there
amazing work on it man! love it
Glad you like it! Hope you're doing well brother.
Excellent figure. Excellent guidance and painting Mr V. Thanks 🙏
Great to finally see the man with the big pig! So much anticipation 😅🙌❤
I saw that pig today at WH Community and instantly knew, it was yours. Well done, sir.
Incredible work as always vince! I really enjoyed the section on weathering the armor. That was a really clear demonstration. Thank you!
Blown away by this, it looks fantastic. Thanks for the inspiration as always! Would love a BigPig Pt.2 with some more details even like the grunta skin, bone, and base.
Amazing work, and a great tutorial on multiple techniques. THANK YOU!
Thank you, Vince. You provide exponential inspiration.
its hard to watch because it makes me want to start a new army and I just started one lol, great work!
Wonderful tutorial!!! Such a broad instruction that anyone from new to skilled can get something to improve. I love these because they help me reinforce my fundamentals. Thanks, great work, and great army colors and hues🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
BIG PIG!!!! NGL these new units pushed me into to collecting Iron Jaws now, have been eyeing them for awhile now, and The BIGGEST PIGGEST was what pushed me over the edge. Thanks for the video/s to show me how to go about painting my newly acquired IJ army. BIG PIG LIVES
Vince!! Man, that turned out SO good! 🤘
Finally Big Pig! And it came out amazing. I was hoping so badly to see a video, when the image popped up on warhammer-community. Can't wait to get my hands on the scupt as well. On top i learned about the contrast feathering. 10/10 recommended video. Thanks Vince!
Looks awesome always learn a lot from your videos Vince!
Mate honestly that looks so good
Your blue IronJaws look unbelievable. Cant imagine how good they would look like on the tabletop.
Really enjoyed the subject and the treatment. Every time I paint a face from here on out I'm going to think about making sure the "cheeky cheeks" have the appropriate tint of pink
Awesome results and congrats to being featured on the WH Community page. The model looks great!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Vince! I love your videos and how you explain what and why you are doing each step. Just wanted to say thank you.
My pleasure!
That looks amazing. You are the goat, sir
Thank you kindly :)
I’m so excited to try this. I followed your blue scheme somewhat for my ironjawz and am keen to see if I can do an even better job with the new sculpts now that I have some more practice under my belt :)
Oooh that armor method would work for my bloodknights too! So awesome
Great video and after watching tabletop time paint the same pig today it was good to see a different approach and colour scheme , this also helped with my current project of three soace marine infiltrators thank you Vince.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Incredible
I'm a fan of Warhammer but haven't built any of them, but am amazed by your explanations about adding weathering effects on this kit, thanks for the tips and amazing skills you share
Always happy to help.
Looking great Vince, can't wait to get my hands on a Big Pig of my own to turn it into the rave orruk equivalent of the doof wagon :D
Oh so nice!
I saw the preview of the Warhammer Community article on my phone and I KNEW it was YOUR Big Pig!
I am really happy that your work got the recognition it deserved!
Great video Vince!
Thanks again!
Awesome Vince! More new Ironjawz would be great if you have the time!
I first got into your channel Vince via your Maw Krusha video and I'm excited to use this to help me tackle the BIG PIG.
VERY excited to eventually grab all the new IJ models but I'm going to start with buying the Big Pig within the next few weeks.
Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome!🙌🏽👍🏽
Thank you! 😁
Already put an order with my store guy. Porka Morka here we go!
Love that pig!
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
Fantastic video.
Thank you very much!
Looking good.
Thanks 👍
At first I was skeptical, but through the course of the video, I did grow to like the BIG PIG. 👍
You and me both!
I would love a dry brushing video!
❤ amazing 🐗
Nice big pig! Also, thanks for the painting advice at this years NOVA! Really appreciate the constructive feedback.
Always happy to help.
Grats on the Warhammer Community article top-bill, by the way.
Thanks for that!
Wow Vince I always learn something when I watch your videos and they translate to so many deferent models...for example I am doing Krieg Tanks in a urban scheme and I think the colours/pattern your using would translate well but perhaps with a bit more grey.
Great to hear!
Cheers my Friend
Thank you! Cheers!
4:50 indeed, looks close to phthalo blue green shade (PB15), but is slightly different. I am guessing it has a small amount of ultramarine blue (BP29) mixed in so to get it closer to a neutral blue, but can tell for sure. Still really like the Vallejo inks, even though I have many great artist inks as well.
I love that you painted some more IJ years later. The orc skin is the only thing I think you did better before. Other than that this is a great way to show new painters that recipes are not always needed.
I totally agree!
Hey Vince just picked up your paints from Monument Hobbies look forward to working with them.
Awesome!
WOOOO! Big Pig!
I stand by what I said on Twitter, this is one of the best GW models you have painted in a while and I rate it above the recent Golden Demon stuff based on what we can see in pictures/videos. It feels like the fact you were having fun painting the model shines through.
More related to the Hobby Cheating, I was in an LGS in a different town recently and they had a display cabinet showing work from a local comission painter. The models, from 3' looked great, but getting down to 2' or closer you could see brush work - there was a lack of smoothness in the transitions between colours. You, indirectly, adress it in this video, but perhaps a HC where you look at the impact in jumps in colour value and how to reduce them quickly (and how to improve that to a higher standard) improves the look of models and how small large jumps (like your chipping here) can improve a model?
Man this makes me want to paint an orc army...
WAAAGH-NGAGEMENT!
Mork bless Big Pig!
although I prefer orcs to be grim and dirty, these are amazing!
tzeentch would certainly be proud
Solid big pig
God, what a mini...
Congrats Vince. That is an excellent big pig. Sadly I will never paint big pig because I am a coward.
No reason to be afraid. :)
Fantastic work Vince! Loved how you worked that blue color!
Switching gears, and idk if you addressed this in the past, any tips on how to get faster on the assembly phase? I feel like I take forever to finish prepping the minis, and that is the part a least enjoy (maybe that’s why it drags).
Thank you!
Faster is tough, but things like mini-sanding sticks and other good tools can help here. I have a few videos in the playlist on it.
👍👍

Feels redundant to say but amazing work as always, sir.
Out of curiosity, do you by any chance have a tutorial on how you made the amazing base?
Sure do - ruclips.net/video/cPPBNdZyyl0/видео.html&pp=gAQBiAQB
It's old and not great, but all the facts are there.
Wow....that is amazing Vince....how do you play with all those works or art ? I think I would be afraid to touch them...
Toys are made to be played with. :)
Hey Vince, very similar to the plan I have, blue and black armoured orks, with blue/turquoise skin and on snow bases. Not sure this will have enough contrast, what would you add for some pop?
It's tough if everything is in blue like that. Some orange like you see here, as freehand or something similar. Some splash warm color could make the difference.
Hello Vince! Just started getting into the hobby. Your videos have been amazing! As a beginner painter, do you recommend more or less paints to buy? I picked up Pro Acryl Base and expansions 1-3 and now that I have them, I'm thinking that it might actually be too many paints and I won't use them all. Cheers!
Well, I am a paint addict, so I am the wrong person to ask, but that is plenty to get you started. As you go, you can pick up a few here or there from other brands that catch your eye and see what best suits your evolving style.
Your big pig looks awesome! When using Inks and generally a couple of different paint ranges, you always (matte) varnish afterwards to bring it all in line?
I do, before all the metallics.
Big Pig! GW take my money now please!
How easy would it be to magnitize the sidecar orcs?
Big Pig!
Am I missing something or did you not show painting the Grunta's skin & tusks? 😕
I did not, couldn't show everything as the model is just too big, so I decided to focus on the armor, orc skin and fur. :) - I have done previous videos on the skin and horns for multiple models, including on gore gruntas, those are in the hobby cheating playlist.
Love the ork skin. When you are highlighting with pink, is that just pink, or is it mixed with green at all? Mixing seems like it would muddy the colors.
Mostly just very thin pink, but you can mix them some to smooth the transitions. Its a muddy color but perfect for that very reason.
BIG
@VinceVenturella
Hey Vince, do you think thiswill also work with black armour? I'm aiming for a look like the kryptboyz from the new ardboy box, but its difficult to give the black any depth and interesting look.
Sort of, black is just hard, you really have to push the undershading and work thin. I have some videos in the playlist on black armor that will be helpful.
@@VinceVenturellathanks for your reply, will definitely watch, keep going you're amazing!
Awesome work! I've never been into orks fully, but this paintkob makes me want a tribe of thos smashing guys.
One question: Which sizes of airbrush nozzles would you recommend? Up to now I'm using a 0,4mm nozzle and now I'm tempted by 0,2mm and 0,15mm. Are they worth the investment??
The .4 is way too large for my tastes, either a .2 or .15 is fine. I use both and both can get some great detail.
@@VinceVenturella The .4 does its job for priming and basecolors but al the rest: no way for me. Thanks for your advice!!
Big Pig is a good boy! I don't remember if I've asked you this, but have you tried any of the Tamiya gold paints including the spray can ones?
I have not. I'll have to give it a try.
@vinceyv did you paint this all in one day? How many hours did this take?
THis was painted over a week.
give us more orks!
Out of curiosity, how big are the side orcs compared to brutes and how big is the boss? Is he megaboss size or smaller?
They are the new Ard Boys, so they are smaller than brutes. He's basically megaboss size.
@@VinceVenturellaThank you! Now I have all the info I need for conversion purposes :D
BIG PIG
...damn....
Vince, I have an idea for you,
How would you paint a “Dead Eye”
Millky grey with a white light dot. It wouldn't really read unless it was a larger model.
Thank you Vince
: )
Papa Vince with that mf BEEG PEEG
BEEG PEEG.
I just came here to say…Big Pig.
