I understand that if you're doing an oil wash then coat with gloss varnish first, that way the paint is protected when you white-spirit it away.

You can easily make green flock with sawdust to add in the base ready mix bag.

Great video. For the liquid mask, it's best to add a super thick layer after the first layer has dried, that makes it less "delicate" to remove. I've also found a silicon sclupting tool works really well to remove it.

@@pieterschillemans5960 it’s a Masters in Graphic design which I was using in publishing for a while some time back. Now I just use it for frantically making thumbnails at 2am 😂

No, I am Max. Also, if you want to add some color, particularly oranges, to your bases, GreenStuff World's micro leaves are actually pretty good. Although apparently GSW are kind of a rude company sometimes?

To be honest I was also mildly disappointed with Geek Gaming Scenics. I ordered a bunch of different Base Ready mixes from them in order to have what I thought was a nice variety. Some of them are fine and have the sort of color variety they show on their pictures. But the Mars Earth I received was far more of a pale desaturated barely red than the deep, Mars-y dusty red they show. A few of the others were also more desaturated than I expected, like the Desert Sand and Stone was more of a pale-ish white rather than the nice yellow-desert.
it's a shame, they looked like they'd be good!
Orks of the forest... hmmm. Apparently that would be "Orks El Jonson" on Caliban (jonson, wood, makes sense I guess) so that's my silly suggestion. My even sillier one is the yo' mama's.

Might wanna be a lil careful with storing oil paints in the GW paint pots as the white spirits can eat at the rubber lids and the pots them selves if left.
Id use a glass mason jar or smaller glass jars with a screw on lid with foil in the lid to keep it much mire air tight
Good tip! They’re only going to be in there for a month maximum so I’m hoping it should be fine for that long 🙂
