I was born the same year at the CH-47 protype flew. I had the pleasure of working with/on and supporting the Civilian BV234LR version (based on the CH-47C) for almost ten years. Very happy to see it continue in service even after I retire, and most likely the type will still be in service when I pass on. Puts a perspective on the service life of a successful design and product. It is 118 years since the Wright Brothers first flew, the Chinook variants has been in serice for half of that time. Simply very impressive and a well deserve celebration for the aircraft and the people at Boeing Vertol, Boeing Helicopters and Boeing.
To be sincerely honest, In my humble opinion without being sentimental and of course, without offending anyone who thinks differently from my opinion but also looking into this curious matter with perspective distinction and without condemning anyone's point of view I honestly think or believe that i have nothing to say right now about this video.
Yes! Let's give MORE money to the military industrial complex. As if our budget wasn't over bloated enough. And the failed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan haven't taught us that it's not equipment which is our weakness, but rather our inept leadership. Here...take my money and use it to develop weapons systems that will eventually wind up in the hand of Chinese and Russian hackers.
Ok, according to wikipedia: "...CH-47D can carry heavy payloads internally and up to 26,000 lb (12,000 kg)..." ? Wow! You are right! "...CH-53K's payload reaches a maximum of 35,000 lb (15,900 kg)..." 👌😀🇺🇸

The CH-47 Chinook is a beautiful helicopter, I want it to remain operational for many more decades, and never need to be replaced unnecessarily.
Best helicopter ever built.
I like the special forces version (black with fuel probe)
👌
This video could do with much less music and a lot more turboshaft engine noises.
Perhaps that'll be the next video
I know, right!
This is the new and advanced version. Amazing.
Apparently I’m the first comment, how original! 😂
Loser

India has both Chinook helicopter and Apache helicopter.
We love our Indian allies. Keep China honest lol
❤️ Boeing
Simply advanced.
Definitely something to be said for using all the power for lifting when you don’t have to drive a tail rotor.
Well made helicopter
love this company.
Except when they endorse black lives matter
When will there be a Chinook II?
Why do they need a II? They can just keep upgrading the blocks. Nothing wrong with what they have.
Chinooks are Boeing's? wow. Chinook
Tandem rotor can cross wind hover. The 46 and 47 can both do it. Nice machines to fly.
Nice Helicopter perfect for my future military squad😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes, Helicopter squad
Militia time
I learned in geography class that chinook means 'snow-eater' wind
Beloved of Spec Ops operators everywhere. 🤜💥🤛
H-47?
Reliable helicopter....wondering the VVIP version with water landing capability 🚁🤓
Coool
gerçekten POWER Boeing 777
CHINOOK is the best ever helicopter build.
What is there to comment here.
I feel the same way
Whats the difference?
🚁
Boeing should produce the civilian Chinook again.
I prefer the Pavelow but Chinook cool too
i can get a civilian one
Same old

Is Boeing will survive ....?

Training wars. Not failed wars
I support Boeing and the US military.
Get out from space, clowms
CH-53K is better
Well. Nice helicopter.
Could it do the trick at 01:09 ?

THE MUSIC SUCKS. come on.
Are you kidding me? That helicopter can be shot down with a random shot from a BB gun.
Actually there are no more left alive with "BB gun" when that helicopter coming 😀
The Chinook is a tough helicopter.
