It’s a shame that Cynder was hardly in a new beginning at all. Cree Summer’s voice credits were hardly work it as it’s just screeching a lot of the time too. It’s just as well she got more developed in the next 2 games. I quite like her redesign in Dawn of the Dragon. I can’t say the same for Spyro as it’s basically a much bigger version of what he looked like in a new beginning and the eternal night as well. Apparently the reason they were both aged up in the 3rd game was to take advantage of the new console hardware at the time. Mainly the PS3 and Xbox 360 I’m referring to.

I agree, they clearly valued her name enough to put it next to the other three, and she's a great voice actress, but they completely failed to use her to her potential in this one. I'll have to give the later ones a try someday. Now that I know not to expect the classic Spyro, it probably wouldn't be so difficult for me to enjoy.

@@KalTheSkeleton yeah definitely. It definitely feels more like a god of war clone for some aspects. Also the legend of Zelda hence the “legend of” title too lol

I've seen a lot of fans out there, and I love some games others would say are bad. Just a miss for me, you know? Thanks for watching all the same.

I love this trilogy of games. They’re far from perfect and I do much prefer the original ps1 games, as well as the reignited trilogy. But there was something truly magic about the legend of Spyro series. The voice acting especially stood out to me the most. But the eternal night basically felt like more of the same and if it wasn’t for the collectibles I probably would’ve forgotten about it instantly. Dawn of the Dragon was a fairly decent conclusion but wasn’t developed by Krome Studios at all. I just wonder how different that game would’ve been if it was. It was originally going to be called “the darkest hour” at one point too.

Yeah, it's a shame that it was a miss for me, because I would love more Spyro, but I'm glad other have found joy in it. I have heard that Dawn of the Dragon is the best of the trilogy by far, but I didn't know it wasn't made by Krome. I guess the series just needed a different team. The Ty games Krome made were pretty fun though, and hit a lot of the same beats that I loved about the first three Spyros, so I would bet that the problems with this game came from scheduling, and conflicts with Universal Games. That's just my guess though.

ooh i loved this game. but for me this trilogy was basically they only spyro i got to know, before i grew up and ps2 became completely obsolete. the only other spyro game i played was "a hero's tale" and i clearly liked that a lot less!

Hey that's awesome. At the end of the day, I'm always just happy when people find something they like. I have read a lot of people saying that the end of this trilogy, I think it's Dawn of the dragon, is really great, I'll probably get to it someday.
I haven't played A Hero's Tale either, but I think that it got pretty negative reviews overall. Even if it didn't, I can imagine that if you were used to this format and tried to go back to the old one, it would have been just as off putting as this change was for me.
      Anyway, thanks for watching!

Loved this game trilogy as a kid and skylanders. I still need to finish my collection.

I'm glad to know that some people still really like it. I think my expectations were just wrong for it, since I grew up on the ps1 Spyros, but just about every game deserves love.

@@KalTheSkeleton I unironically grew up on both. My dad loves the og spyro so I ended up playing both in my childhood. I was never the kinda kid that could go and complete everything though, so I often got road blocked in the ps1 spyro's.

This is my real voice lol. I get pretty anxious with the microphone though, i guess it comes off kind of robotic.

@@KalTheSkeleton I didn't think your voice sounded like ai. It's been half a decade since i've been in college so i may be a bit rusty, but you have a good downward voice inflection. (Which is way better than ending your sentences with an upward voice inflection.) I think the way you spoke sounded human with the variety you added to certain words.

@witch402 Thanks, I'm trying to be and sound relaxing al-la dungeonchill, but I think my nerves combined with how I edit it my breathing sounds and mistakes does sound a little unnatural. Like maybe I should leave in some pauses. I've done that in my longer videos, but it is a learning process.
Anyway, thanks for watching, and for your kind words.
